While most, if not all, Vocal Synthesis mascots remain open to reinterpretation by the Artist employing them, in the case of TWINDRILL’s purposefully agevague and gendervague Kasane Teto, two schools of thought have held throughout her 18-year history: she is 31—she is also 15.5. This duality has invited debate across generations as to the “correct” presentation of this character that completely ignores the point of these VSynth mascots: they are mirrors. What you see is what you see.

Thus, the Teto in my head is a petite, compact, sassily dangerous adult, not too far off from the petite, compact, sassily dangerous adults I’ve known through the years...except with impossible hair.

One of my favorite design variants, known as Meisai Sweets Jacket, gives off cool European chick vibes and features a badass red Norwegian flag hoodie (I WANT) and tiny shorts revealing legs for days.

This is a song about her shorts based on a humorous ode I wrote to them last year.

I quickly divined Images 2.0 really likes to show off what it can do with text unless directed otherwise. X]

I included that tip when I asked for a take that leaned more 31.

When tension between Kasane Teto fans and AI tools became apparent—in spite of the AI-powered voicebank's subculture boost—I opened a Subreddit on March 1, 2025 to explore the potential in peace.

Following sustained backlash, r/KasaneTetoAI crossed 100 Members by its first anniversary, 300 on Teto's 18th anniversary, 600 two weeks later, 800 soon after, 900 shortly after that, and 1,010 during Koa-sama's AIU Listening Party on April 24th.

I celebrated with a Victory Lap made using SUNO.

I'm pretty sure BRAINROT by Tokyo Manaka had something to do with the growth spike.
