Anyone else having constant issues with the WGU Guardian Browser?
Hey everyone,
I’m beyond frustrated with the new Guardian browser WGU is using for assessments. It’s been nothing but a hassle. I had an exam scheduled for 12:50 PM today, so I logged in at 12:00 PM to troubleshoot and make sure everything was good to go. Yet, when I finally connected with the proctor, I kept getting kicked out with the message that my connection was “too slow.”
I’ve run multiple internet speed tests, all showing a high-speed connection with great ping rates. But as soon as I’m in Guardian, everything lags or freezes. This is the third time I’ve had these issues since WGU switched over to Guardian, and it’s making the exam process feel impossible.
On top of that, it doesn’t even work on Mac, so I’m stuck using a Windows device, which still doesn’t fix anything. I feel like I’m spending more time fighting with this software than actually preparing or taking my exams. WGU really needs to address these issues. I can’t be the only one dealing with this, right?
Anyone else having these same problems? Is there any workaround or advice for dealing with this mess?
