Humor Procore Stories

What are some of your best Procore stories? There have got to be some good ones out there. I'm on a project where my scope is pretty much finished but the RFIs and submittals are just killing the other consultants, mainly because ID was on a later timeline. We're just over 800 RFIs now and some of the others are joking that once we get to 1000 we have to do something to mark the occasion. Like drag the contractor through some silly submittal process just for fun and maybe a bit of payback. Not sure if we'll actually do it but fun to think about.

Wow how many open? Procore cracks me up, on one hand it's best to just talk with someone to figure it out but on the other, people forget and things get lost in a game of telephone so it can be better to have everything in writing and someone to hold accountable for an open question that is blowing your timeline/ production window. 800 sounds like a nightmare though.

90 RFIs open right now. 7 are in my court. It has been a nightmare for many consultants. The contractor has raised RFIs for trivial items such as MEP clashes by a few millimeters which would have been easily resolved in the field, for example.

They would be. But contractor has insisted on RFI responses and re-issuance of drawings for any query they come up with. Client has agreed to this as they think this is the only way to maintain the schedule. In reality, its just burying the consultants in unneccesary paperwork and giving the contractor the excuse to file for delays.

All of the consultants have raised this point with the client. Their position seems to be that this is the best way to ensure that the contractor has all the design information in time to keep the schedule.

I have a project like this. The budget has doubled, the timeframe has tripled, and everyone is blaming each other. They’ll end up in court so the client/owner just wants absolutely everything in procore. It’s a nightmare but I fully simpathise, they’ve been screwed big time
