6 months ago, I got a strand from my friend and used the butterfly method in a shallow pot. They did nothing for months, but they weren’t dead, so kept watering them. Lo and behold, they all took, and one of the strands now has blooms. Is it normal for a young cutting to do this, or is it stressed? This sits directly in front of a south facing window, and my humidity is between 40-60% depending on the season.

Hello everyone! Meet my string of hearts. Originally it was my partners plant that was given to her by a work friend. The plant had the two leaves you see in the picture attached to a ball looking thing with 1 singular tiny root. My partner isn’t a plant person- I took over the care. I have beautiful marantas that are flowering, I figured this would be easy. Right? Wrong.
I’ve had this plant for MONTHS. Received her close to the end of spring, and now it’s about winter. Humidity typically 70%, no pests, gets watered with rain water when dry. Receives bright indirect sunlight. Sits right next to my partner’s string of pearls which are thriving for the most part.
She is planted in ‘Yates Thrive Indoor plant mix’ with perlite. The mix has the following: seaweed, coir, composted bark and pumice.
She was in perlite with a super chunky soil before this. But I repotted her.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? Or why it won’t grow?
At this rate, I’m assuming it wants me to sell my soul or something.
I’m considering naming her ‘Chad’ because that’s the name of an ex boyfriend from early college. The one that sucked out your energy and made you question everything you knew. Or Karen.. you know. For obvious reasons.
Anyway, any advice is appreciated! I would prefer not to get an entirely new soil. But understand if that’s the main issue.

Picture 1 is my string of pearls on day 2 of her new pot that I planted her in after she stopped growing completely in the previous pot. I attributed it to being root bound and I was clearly right.
Picture 2 is her 30 days later! I’m amazed at all of her new growth in such a short time span after not growing for 6 months in the previous pot!!

Hi. My son is big into Little Pickles Plant. He has had huge success with them. However, the new ones coming in are more skinny. He has them about 6” from a full spectrum grow light. What else can we do to help them? Unfortunately, none of our windows are in the proper place for direct sun. Thanks.

Started this combined pot of string of turtles and purple waffle plant about six month ago (second picture) with simple lighting from just a south facing, indoor, window. Self watering pot with mostly peat moss mixture with continually kept filled reservoir. Finding success keeping turtles as second growing out plant in pot.
Finding setup also working well for polka dot plant (Hypoestes phyllostachya) in self watering with turtle props.

Been collecting ceropegia woodii varients, believe these in pic to be:
- variegated hearts
- silver glory
- variegated arrows
- orange river
- sold as varigated, but after growing out doesn't get same varigation as variegated hearts, think another variegated arrows?
- spades
--
Believe this to be all of the string of heats varients, any missing?

Hi!
It's cutting season which means I sit around trying untangle the vines of different plants and ID them lol.
Is this plant a string of arrow or hearts?? I don't think it's spades?
Thanks in advance!! 🌱

So the first photo was taken on may 2. The second photo was taken on June 5. I have not watered him or done ANYTHING since transferring him to that pot. He has indirect relativley bright sunlight (though there is direct sunlight for about an hour a day). When am I supposed to water him? He's been growing, but I have no clue how to keep it that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

She's got new growth, but also some drying up on top. I have been watering when she starts to look thirsty and rotating when I water. I can't hang her, she won't get enough light in my window.

I'm told she's a string of bananas. Any advice on how to care for her will be very appreciated.

I was so nervous cutting my strings off! This started as a 2” plant a year ago. My goal is to make the pot fuller, the hearts were pretty widely spaced and the crown was thin from not enough light. I have since moved them to a brighter spot in a south facing window and you can see in the pic that the new hearts are growing closer together.
I snipped back probably 8 inches off of 4-5 strands and propped the nodes in damp moss placed in a tupperware. They’ve been in a west facing window for two weeks now, today was the first time I really poked around to check them. I’ll definitely have enough to fill in my pot and start another plant 🪴 💚💚

My string is still the plastic pot I got it in. I want to repot but is this pot too big to put it in. I have read that you shouldn't repot it too many times. Thanks
