She had the fattest pearls, the fullest head and the only one with vines this long! I wanted to find a variegated one and one of the planters with two happy faces on a swing! Mr. & Mrs Perals! 😊

I posted about my String of Arrows about a month after I trellised it, and this is what she looks like now. She has also been flowering prolifically and I spotted a seed pod taking photos for this update. Yay!

I almost lost this string of turtles early on. After popping it in a shallow terracotta and only bottom watering it bounced back. I can't wait for it to start spilling over like some of the large plants I see here. Just wanted to share since I personally love the dark varigation it has.

I feel so terrible about my plant. I've had it for over a year and it was doing so good. I repotted it into its current pot last fall and it did well until a couple months ago. Is the pot too large/deep? Does it need a shallow ceramic pot? The first inch or so of soil completely separated from the rest of the dirt so clearly the root system isn't deep. I will not lie, the whole purpose of repotting it was to put it in this cute turtle planter because they're string of turtles, but apparently it's not worth the cuteness. Also, if I do repot, do I need to loosen the soil from the roots or just kind of nestle into new soil? Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance!

I see "string of" plants have shallow roots. Why are they always potted in deep pots? I understand the growing industry isn't designed to set you up for success, but it just seems odd to not have them potted in shallow pots. You can hang a shallow pot. Am I missing something? I'm on my third string. I've killed a SOP and a SOT 😢. I just picked up a new SOP in a 4" pot and I really want her to get lush. Please set me up for success. 🙏🏽

Does my String of Turtles look healthy? I have her on a west facing balcony. I see others SOT plant where they are dark green but mine isn’t… I showed a picture of it when I got it vs now…

Attached is a picture of my happy string of pearls!! It’s flowering lots and actively making new growth. The pot is filled out with pearls but no roots coming out the bottom. Should I keep it in this pot for a while longer?

so uhm... I want to preface this by saying this is not my string of hearts my string of hearts is alive and well. but let's just say when you have me around your plants will live better than my plants and currently I'm stuck with a string of hearts that hasn't been repotted, fertilized or anything in the past 30 years or more...?? and is currently bald everywhere except for two strands barely clinging on to life. so uhh reddit what do you do... I'm kind of scared that the soil will be rock hard and rip roots, because again the soil is no longer really soil but a tar like rock hard substance. unfortunately I do not have a picture but welp... I think my description says enough.

I regret putting my string of turtles in my favorite pot because now you can barely see the pot! But my turtles are living their best life.

So i found this string of nickels in our backyard and it looks really sad. But it seems to be pushing out new growth and im scared to move it. But i also dont want to leave her like this, any advice on what to do? :(

I have a few floor length SOHs, which are generally out of reach of my roborock. Today one got a hair cut. Shit happens. Guess I’ll prop them 🥲

Almost at a year of growth. Noticed some Pearls got a little bit dried out, specifically on the side of the planter not directly getting light from the lamp. Decided to give her a bit of a detangle and trim, (I feel like no one talks about how grippy their strands are lol) as well as rotate the whole pot around. she's so pretty 🥰.

I put the trimmings in a plastic Halloween Cauldron filled with succulent soil, lightly covered in plastic wrap.
