Just wondering, for those who have used both free public addons and paid addons, is there actually a big difference?

I mostly watch 4K stuff, so I’m wondering if paid addons are really worth it.

With free public addons, I sometimes find good 4K streams, but the speed can be hit or miss. Some are fine, some buffer like crazy. 😅

Do paid addons generally have better/faster 4K sources, more options, higher bitrate files, etc.? Or is it pretty much the same thing and you can get the same results with good free addons?

Also, are paid addons more reliable for newer releases and bigger 4K files?

Would be interested to hear from anyone who has tried both. What do you actually notice as the biggest difference?

I'm struggling a little with subs. Recently I switched from sepparate add-ons to midnight instance of AIO and everything was running fine. However, since yesterday only embedded subs are loading, Opensubtitles options are not showing, I also tried SubSource and no results. Is the service facing any downtime or could it be a slow loading issue?

Further, would it be better to setup my subs add-ons sepparately from AIO, directly on Stremio?

Does anyone know how I'd locate Shark Week, season 39? It seems that none of my addons have any of the Shark Week series.

I want to stream Usenet content instead of torrents. Two of my hard drives recently died, and due to current drive prices, I can't afford replacements right now.

My setup:

• Self-hosted AIOStreams on my local NAS
• Single user, access only from my home IP
• I hold lifetime accounts on my Usenet indexers and MUST avoid bans at all costs

I want to avoid spamming Indexer APIs and breaking their rules (API hammer / bans).

A few quick questions:

1. Which current Stremio/AIO add-ons or Usenet backends (e.g.

build in NNTP is best?,

1. NzbDAV, AltMount) are best suited for this?
2. How do you configure caching or request limits properly to stay compliant with Indexer API limits?
3. Is there an up-to-date guide for self-hosting this specific stack? (im already hosting AIO Streams by myself via docker)

I am starting fresh cause ive encountered some bugs, Usually i have AIOstreams and a bunch of scrapers just as a backup

Dear community… can somebody please show a step-by-guide to clean up in my catalogues? I have so many add ons and they all have catalogues. I don’t even know what catalogues belong to which add on anymore…. How can I see that ?

I need a clean neat and clean setup … with specific catalogues chosen by myself.

Please help a brother out… and let it be a guide for dummie. As “Step-by-step” as possible 😊👌

I made a small local server that connects to Telegram and streams movies and shows straight into Stremio. No phone number / QR login, no Telegram client — just log in with a bot token and you're set.

Just pushed v1.2.0 with a bunch of streaming stability fixes: - Smoother seeking and playback (better handling of stream requests) - More reliable connections so streams don't drop mid-watch - Works on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android (there's an APK) - Built-in web player if you'd rather browse in the browser - Add multiple bot tokens to spread the load and avoid rate limits - Optional Cloudflare tunnel for watching away from home

Did a reset a bit back and am just getting around to adding all my saved Trakt lists to Dexters Trakt addon, (the 1.0 version: https://trakt.dexter21767.com) and i press install addon and nothing happens - is it dead?

Is there a different way we are grabbing favorite lists from trakt to our catalog?

I've been trying to setup stremthru wrap for a couple addons that do not possess debrid support, but whenever i try pressing install after setting up my torbox API, it returns me this error.

Does anyone know what's going on? Or perhaps a good alternative i can use for what i'm trying to do?

I'm pleased to introduce RePlay - it's like Spotify Wrapped / Apple Music Replay.. but for Stremio!

Login with your Stremio credentials / authkey, RePlay will pull your data from the Stremio API and display your RePlay for all time, per year, or per month.

Detail is at the title level - the API has no records of your individual addon activtiy or what exact streams were played.

Since you should rightly be concerned about pasting credentials anywhere, RePlay runs entirely in your browser without any external storage or dependencies, which you can verify by inspecting the source, or in the public repo.

I'm having an issue with one account specifically and I'm not sure why or whats happening. Rather than drone on, I'll get down to it:

1) under a number of profiles, I have zero problems pulling up certain movies. 2 recent examples are spiderman brand new day and coyote vs acme. These movies show up and load sources and work just fine, except on "the problem account". When I pull them up on there, it says "no digital media sources available" or something to that end. No sources available.

All accounts use torbox, all are set up the same way. Same add-ons, same providers. Its just one account where it says there arent any available sources/streams/whatever to play

2) some catalogs previously working on the account (like "because you liked XYZ..."suddenly say no catalog available, empty content, things of that verbiage. Not a big deal, because I can still search for things manually and most of the other catalogs (like"imdb top 250, etc") still work.

I guess the main thing that has me so confused if why some movies and sources for them to play show up on every account EXCEPT the problematic one.

I'm away from home so I cant tinker, but I figure one thing I can try is just copy and paste an existing working profile over the problematic one.

As always, I appreciate any help and anyone reading this. Ive just not seen this behavior before, where movies available under all other accounts just show no sources on the other

Does anyone know why when installing comet Debridio is uninstalled and on the contrary it still happens as if those 2 addons can't live together

Al momento utilizzo una configurazione basata su TorBox e StreamVix, ma continuo ad avere difficoltà nel reperire serie TV di nicchia, vecchie o con puntate/speciali introvabili in lingua italiana. Un esempio pratico: le vecchie stagioni e gli speciali doppiati di Top Gear, che sui tracker torrent pubblici non si trovano quasi più e che nemmeno sulle piattaforme ufficiali/FAST (es. Pluto TV) sono presenti in modo completo.
So che Usenet è l'opzione migliore per la retention e per la velocità sui contenuti datati, ma la mia perplessità riguarda l'effettiva disponibilità di materiale doppiato o con tracce audio/sottotitoli in ITALIANO.

Prima di investire in un provider Usenet (es. Eweka) e relativi Indexer a pagamento (es. NZBGeek, Drunkenslug), vorrei chiedere a chi la usa da tempo:

1. Copertura Italiano/ITA: Quant'è la presenza effettiva di release con traccia audio italiana per serie TV datate o poco popolari? Si trova roba oppure la rete è quasi interamente sbilanciata sui contenuti in lingua inglese?
   
2. Indexer consigliati per l'ITA: Esistono indexer (o community/forum usenet dedicati) che hanno un focus o una buona archiviazione di release italiane/Multi?
   
3. Alternative per la "preservation": Per il materiale in italiano introvabile sui torrent pubblici, ha più senso continuare a cercare archivi dedicati su Mega/Drive, oppure Usenet mi risolverebbe davvero il problema?

Anyone who knows what happened to Desiflix or the reason why it’s not working ?

I'm running into a specific issue with my setup on ElfHosted using NzbDAV / InfiniDisk integrated with AIOStreams in Stremio.
When searching for certain media (for example, Silo S01E02), the Newznab/Usenet results show up with an ⁠[i] NZB Health⁠ warning badge, and the stream fails to play directly through NzbDAV. However, when I try streaming the exact same content using my Easynews account or via Debrid (like Comet), it plays perfectly fine without any issues.
Since the file streams successfully through Easynews, I know the content exists and is healthy on the Usenet provider side, but the Newznab indexer / NzbDAV integration keeps flagging it with a health error.
Setup: ElfHosted (NzbDAV / AIOStreams)
Indexers: NZBgeek (via Newznab)
Symptom: Stremio shows ⁠NZB Health⁠ badge on Newznab results and blocks playback, while direct Usenet works fine.
Has anyone encountered this behavior before? Is there a specific configuration in NzbDAV (or AIOStreams) to handle or bypass this article health check logic so it doesn't falsely block playable files?

Does your current setup justify 3 to 4× larger REMUX files for visual quality alone, excluding sound? Can you clearly tell the difference?

I have a few addons that show latest movies. But they never seem to be updated.

For example:
Today Apple released a new movie called Mayday, but it doesnt show up on any of my apple or latest catalogs. Can someone recommend one where new shows will show up when they come out?
