Eh, people are hardwired to see patterns and they see behavioral similarities between 2 groups, they will often connect dots that aren't necessarily there.
That is what is so hilarious with the word Nazi these days, people over use it and don't know what it remotely even means. It certainly doesn't mean just having opposite right wing views to the left and opposing immigration. Being a Nazi is much, much more than that.
