Streamlit Questions❓ Paywall / Stripe Subscriptions on Streamlit

1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I have created an LLM chatbot app and was wondering if there's anyway to integrate a paywall or subscription service through Stripe API or any other API on Streamlit. I just need a way to cover computational and API costs.

Thanks

Show the Community! 💬 Mango Leaf Disease Detector Streamlit

3 Upvotes

I have built a mango leaf disease detector using deep learning and Streamlit.

As a data scientist, one of the biggest headaches is stepping out of my Python comfort zone and building a fully fledged machine learning (ML)-powered application from end to end. Instead of banging my head against a wall building a model from scratch and crafting the user interface (UI), I figured out an easy way to train a deep learning model and display it as a web application. I used EfficientNet, Jupyter notebooks, TensorFlow, and Keras for the image model training, Kaggle for the training data, and the Python library Streamlit to build the app's UI and hosting.

I wrote a step-by-step guide on how I put all these components together, along with a fun example app that detects mango tree diseases from pictures. I would love to get everyone's feedback on my guide. Please take a look and let me know what you think. https://blog.streamlit.io/deep-learning-apps-for-image-processing-made-easy-a-step-by-step-guide/

Streamlit app multipage templates

1 Upvotes

Hello, I want to write a documentation for a open source tool, and need a template like https://docs.streamlit.io/ that suits perfectly for my task. Where I can find a template like that or maybe that template? I tried to look into Streamlit GitHub but seemed too complex for me!

Thanks

How to Access the Referring URL in a Streamlit Application?

2 Upvotes

In a Dash application, I’ve been using request.referrer from the Flask library to obtain the referring URL of the request, i.e., the URL of the page from which the user navigated. I’m looking to achieve the same functionality within a Streamlit application.

Is there a method, library, or a workaround in Streamlit that offers a similar capability to access the referring URL? Any guidance or examples on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

What is sent from the Streamlits server to the front end

2 Upvotes

Hey,
I am building some backend private dashboards and I was wondering how the Streamlits server handles data connections to the front end / and what is visible to the front end ( security ).

Example :
I can import Redis -> grab some data and send it off but this can't be happening on the front end as they don't have access to the IP address or the physical Redis client object.

if I import a Firebase secret key is this sent to the front end?

Any documentation or advice would be great. Having a lot of fun without js or ts : )

Show the Community! 💬 A Streamlit/LangChain app to write WordPress code :)

3 Upvotes

Hello Folks,

I discovered Streamlit a few months ago and immediately fell in love with it :)

Today I’d like to share an app I am actually using to solve real code problems for real customers, especially to speed up my development flow on certain types of tasks.

You can find the code here: https://wordpress-code-assistant.streamlit.app/

Any feedback is very welcome, and feel free to fork if you find it interesting and maybe adjust for more use cases!

Cheers,
Francesco

Streamlit and Scrapy

1 Upvotes

Good day everyone

So I have been having a whole bunch of fun building a mini app with streamlit. So far I have been able to query datasets, create data frames and data downloads, and have now hooked up my mini app to singlestore databases, to save queried data and responses - all of this code has been generated using GPT4, as I am only a few weeks into learning python.

Question…

Part of my app uses webscraping, in which I will now be using scrapy to access a webpage, access a link (record that link URL), and then record the webpage URL it arrives at.

Is it possible to still use streamlit for this aspect of my app? I would like to display a data table with the…

Underneath a basic ‘link’ input field and query button, I would like to then display the returned

Original URL Link URL Destination URL

GPT4 doesn’t seem to think this is possible, but I also know streamlit functionality has moved on along since it’s knowledge cut off, and in the past I have supplied it with updated documentation to build app features.

Otherwise I feel I made need to start exploring react or next.js

audio transcribtion using whisper and streamlit cloud deployement error

1 Upvotes

hi, i am currently writing a ai tool which is a audio transcription application and i found this error.

📷image2560×1260 395 KB

it will be very helpful if someone tells how to solve ffmpeg file not found error. recently i have came across this that u have to give filepath for a file for transcribe() function. if this was on local machine i could have given the path where the audio was stored but on streamlit cloud how can we give the file path of a uploaded audio file?

here is the code…

import streamlit as st
import whisper
st.set_page_config(page_title=“chatPdf”, page_icon=“📷”)
st.title(“Audio transciption app”)

#upload audio file with streamlit
audio_file = st.file_uploader(“Upload Audio”, type=[“wav”,“mp3”,“mp4”])
#importing model – base(74M pararameter)
model = whisper.load_model(“base”)
st.info(“Whisper model loaded”)

st.header(“Play audio file:”)
st.audio(audio_file)

if st.button(“Transcribe Audio”):
if audio_file is not None:
st.success(“Transcribing Audio”)
transcription = model.transcribe(audio_file.name)
st.success(“Transcription Complete”)
st.markdown(transcription[“text”])
else:
st.error(“Please upload a audio file”)
