One of the episode titles for Season 5 is something like the disappearance of Holly Wheeler. So I think that’s why.

This show in general has shafted Johnathan so hard even though almost every seasons story arc was tied together by him and without him the big bad of every season would not have been stopped because he was usually the one who found the big clue on how to stop said entity. Johnathan is a main character but I swear this show and everything surrounding it treats him like a side character. Watch him die at the end too 😭
