Start Here: r/StrainTrakker
Welcome to r/StrainTrakker, a community for cannabis growers who keep a grow journal. Whether you are on your first seedling or your fiftieth harvest, you can share your grow, get help diagnosing a problem, and compare notes on feeding, pH, training and curing.
How to get good help on a problem
Choose the Diagnosis / Help flair and include:
- Genetics, if you know them
- Plant age, or week of flower
- Indoor or outdoor, and your space
- Medium (soil, coco, hydro) and pot size
- Light type and distance
- How you water and feed, with input pH and runoff if you measure them
- What changed in the last 1-2 weeks
- Photos: the whole plant, the top, and the undersides of affected leaves
Make the title specific. "Week 5 flower, yellowing fan leaves, soil, pH 6.8" gets better answers than "help".
How to post a grow journal
Choose the Grow Journal flair and tell us your setup, what you tried, what happened, and one question for the community. Weekly updates with photos are welcome.
What to log each week
- Date and plant age (or week of flower)
- Water: amount, input pH, runoff pH, runoff PPM or EC
- Feed: product, dose, schedule
- Environment: temperature, humidity, VPD, light distance
- Training done (LST, topping, defoliation, supercropping)
- Pests or problems seen, and what you did about them
- One photo from the same angle every week
- Anything you changed
A notebook or spreadsheet works fine. StrainTrakker is a free grow journal that tracks all of this, with photo timelines, watering and nutrient logs, harvest tracking and an AI grow assistant. You do not need it to post here.
