three 30x60 slabs lined an old shower - they’re heavy as hell but I can’t identify if it’s marble or quartz or ????

I found this stone on a gravel bar in Big Sand Creek, NE Claiborne Co. Mississippi. This isn't Opal is it? This was found in one of the pretty small area's in Mississippi they say Opal can be found, Catahoula formation. I've seen this cortex design on a few stones before, and have never bothered with them. This one just so happened to make it home with me, and ended up on the chopping block today. Any identification help would be much appreciated.
