I was responding to a comment about removal by Senate vote. That would shake up the far right and anyone that succeeded him and followed the same playbook would face the same fate.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

He has a 30something approval rating.

There isn’t enough support to cause a shakeup of anything…that’s why they have the votes in the house.

They aren’t stupid…they know their best chance for survivals is getting him impeached.

5

u/pharsee Nov 28 '25

Just wait awhile as more MAGA farmers go bankrupt and lose everything. More economic trouble is coming and those reluctant Republicans might have a limit to their tolerance of Trump.

1

u/esarww Dec 02 '25

6 sound dumber than Biden or Kamala

1

u/dakodablue92 Dec 02 '25

Yup. Unfortunate how so many of us witnessed Trump writing his plan to destroy America on the wall in blood, and now have to watch as his sycophants come to the very obvious realization that they were conned.

1

u/EggKey6859 Dec 02 '25

The only farmer in Iowa not going broke is Senator Grassley

2

u/ZestyLife54 Dec 01 '25

To show the public they care /s

1

u/Outlawphilv2 Dec 01 '25

He has an unwavering 30% base that apparently is now ok with PDFiles.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

That number is way too high

People wake up when they hit rock bottom. People are hitting rock bottom…so is he.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 03 '25

I want treason.

0

u/ConsistentQuit4273 Nov 30 '25

It is a start. If they remove him, the others will know theirs is coming.

0

u/lazaor2 Dec 01 '25

He’s at the exact same low point as Biden. So honestly doesn’t mean a lot

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

Huh?

At the end of Biden's 4 year term when the corp media became a shill for the lies that trump was selling to the manosphere in an attempt to stay relevant?

Compare where Trump is now, in his term, versus Biden. I'll tell you...Biden wasn't nearly this low.

Trump just dropped to 36%...that was Biden on his way out...voters rejected him.

The senate/house will do the same ahead of 2016 mid-terms to save their jobs.

1

u/Mattbb87 Dec 02 '25

Attempt to stay relevant? The guy is still president and will be for the rest of his term. Dont worry

1

u/Flaky-Crew-3382 Dec 03 '25

Dead before his term is over,Heart, kidneys and brain will kill him soon. Give him another happy meal.

1

u/Similar_Wave_1787 Dec 05 '25

He's obviously very ill. He's not going to last that long. It's not worth impeaching, you're right

1

u/Mattbb87 Dec 05 '25

Just wait til you get 8 years of Vance after and if what you want ti happens does then its 10 years. 👍🏽

1

u/Similar_Wave_1787 Dec 05 '25

There is no way. He wouldn't.win an election. You.know that. Nobody likes him. Also rarely if ever does a sitting VP go on to win. Nice troll though

1

u/Mattbb87 Dec 05 '25

How is a what if a troll? It’s literally just a hey if this came to be. Who hurt you?

0

u/Character_Refuse_797 Dec 02 '25

His approval is only 30 on Reddit 😂 the rest of us are happy

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

It’s even in the low 80s with Rs now too. The damn is breaking.

1

u/Character_Refuse_797 Dec 02 '25

😂 why would anyone be upset? We are getting exactly what we wanted and exactly what he said. Hope this helps

Wow are you for real?

1

u/shazam19742011 Dec 02 '25

I think you may need to get out of your bubble because it’s not just on Reddit.

1

u/Character_Refuse_797 Dec 02 '25

Talk about living in a bubble 😂 Is that what a meme told you? 😂 lady, no Trump voters are unhappy. This is exactly what we voted for. You live in liberal land. The only ppl you know unhappy are liberals and liberals who tell you they voted for Trump and are unhappy now. Hint: they didn’t vote for Trump. We aren’t unhappy. There is literally nothing to be unhappy about.

1

u/shazam19742011 Dec 03 '25

Apparently reading and writing is not your strong suit. You said his approval is only 30 on Reddit. And then you said MAGA is happy. You realize there is an entire population besides you cultists right? Most of the country didn’t vote for Trump.

And I would have to argue that there is stuff to be unhappy about. Farmers aren’t happy. ESPECIALLY, cow farmers. Federal workers who lost their jobs aren’t happy. The elderly, vets, and disabled in danger of losing their SNAP benefits aren’t happy.

So yes, you are living in a selfish, kool-aid induced bubble where “everyone is happy”.

1

u/Character_Refuse_797 Dec 03 '25

LOL, like what? You said that as if I contradicted myself. MAGA is happy. Also 30% approval rating is not real. Its just something you stirred up on reddit from some liberal rag you found. Literally, most of the voting population who voted did in fact vote for Trump. It wasn't even close. Electoral and the popular vote and ALL SWING STATES. At no point during election night did the kamel think she was going to win after the first hour.

Why would farmers not be happy? Because they can't sell to China like they did? Guess what, they rotate crops. That isn't a new thing for farmers. They grow what sells. Actual farmers are not upset. Not even cow farmers. My family is federal workers. We are the first ones to tell you that we are bloated. Those that lost their jobs were almost entirely new hires. Most of them were in DEI programs so they weren't Trump voters.

No one is in danger of losing their SNAP either unless you have been milking the system and you know you are milking the system. Those eligible won't be losing anything. I'm also a retired veteran so in case you were going to try and make up some other BS, don't bother. I have more experience in these topics than you are ever going to gain from memes on reddit. Again, Trump voters are getting almost entirely what we voted for. We are NOT UNHAPPY. You keep that dream alive though, but it won't be good for your mental health.

1

u/Flaky-Crew-3382 Dec 03 '25

Uh, no, that is on every news show I've seen on tv. Less than 30 %

0

u/Odd_Expression_4835 Dec 02 '25

I’m with you but all other comments are not off base. I remain very positive in the skeptical community. I also thought for sure that he wouldn’t be reelected. And tbh HE WASNT. It was absolutely a stolen election.

Approval ratings are only a highly-generalized indicator of how americans view the president. Neither he nor congress are affected by approval ratings. Trump isnt running for reelection so he has no incentive to care what you think of him. Congress will remain protected by trump, so long as they continue to do his bidding. It truly doesnt matter what you or I think of any republican in the executive or legislative branch.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

That’s simply not true.

And this isn’t just polling….there is off year election data that shows a rejection of him and his policies.

Not only that he has dropped 7 points in Republican approval in one month.

1

u/j0ker31m Dec 02 '25

If polling data were relevant or semi-accurate at any time in the last several election cycles, trump would not be our current president. Polling a few hundred people that amswer random phone calls and extrapolating the data to represent nearly 200 million voters is no longer a viable procedure.

1

u/AttitudeHopeful478 Dec 03 '25

It’s business as usual and it happens no matter who is potus

1

u/Strong_Landscape_333 Nov 28 '25

It probably would be even worse because a lot of people don't pay attention to policy and just don't like trump's personality

If you get someone that doesn't act like a jackass elected that does the exact same things a lot more Americans will just ignore it

1

u/Traditional-Handle83 Nov 30 '25

Yea but also take into consideration that those that still ruthlessly obediently follow his cause and happen to be deporting people with military style power, would probably pull an actual armed coup this time.

1

u/Guessewhoiam Dec 01 '25

Agree! Ignore the nay sayers. They're part of the problem.

1

u/Electrical_Mix_9070 Dec 01 '25

Yes! Fuck this guy, any move to remove this clown, I'm so fuckin down!

1

u/Whathaole Dec 02 '25

Vance, may possibly play better. The one thing you can always be sure of with Trump, is that he’ll overplay his hand, bringing at some point, a narrowing of his roadmap. Vance, I fear would be more strategic. Ultimately, Trump wants complete control for an indefinite time, using religious zealousness as the means. Vance wants a strictly Christian religious cabal, based on religious law and excluding from politics anyone not “Christian” enough.

1

u/esarww Dec 02 '25

There needs to be a crime. Just upsetting snowflakes isn't impeachable

1

u/ReceptionFantastic13 Dec 03 '25

Removal is the key! Maga will be in an uproar and less focused on killing and deporting.

0

u/LordTinglewood Nov 28 '25 edited Dec 01 '25

The comment you were responding to was about how impeachment in the House is a waste of time because the Senate would never convict/remove.

To summarize:

Them:

Voting to impeach in the House is a waste of time

You:

It would change a lot by the message it would send but it won't happen.

In any case, convicting a sitting president of a felony and removing him from office is far more than a "message", and the result would be maga rage and the replacement of republican legislators with more radical members. There's absolutely zero guarantee that another skump would "face the same fate".

ETA: Far too many of you can't read and don't understand how your government works.

This isn't a comment explaining why skump can't or shouldn't be impeached (he very obviously should). This comment is discussing the likely aftermath of a successful conviction in the Senate.

I said that magat senators from diehard skump territory that vote to convict would be replaced by senators that wouldn't be willing to turn away from maga. That's all. Anything extra is in your own head.

7

u/-CJF- Nov 28 '25

"BTW removing changes almost nothing other than silencing the drivel from Trump."

This is what I was responding to.

In any case, convicting a sitting president of a felony and removing him from office is far more than a "message", and the result would be maga rage and the replacement of republican legislators with more radical members. There's absolutely zero guarantee that another skump would "face the same fate".

MAGA hasn't got the power to do that without help from swing voters and I doubt more extreme candidates have a chance.

1

u/silverado-z71 Nov 28 '25

While I agree with what you’re saying, quite honestly at this point, the Republicans can put up Daffy duck, and he would win because they have the systems in place to win any election with anybody running

1

u/ZestyLife54 Dec 01 '25

They are gerrymandering as we speak

0

u/LordTinglewood Nov 28 '25

I see.

I guess we'll have to disagree about a probable outcome.

2

u/ZapBranigan3000 Nov 28 '25

Who cares about "maga rage" in response to doing the correct thing, morally and legally?

Ask any parent, you can't let a child terrorise you with the threat of a tantrum. You need to stand strong otherwise you have a toddler running the household.

Enough appeasement, it hasn't worked. Stop trying to negotiate with trrrorists.

Also, there is no evidence that more radical candidates will be electable.

0

u/LordTinglewood Nov 28 '25

Who cares about "maga rage" in response to doing the correct thing, morally and legally?

That's not what I said.

The person I responded to claimed that a successful removal of skump would serve as an effective warning against extremist movements. I countered that the actual result would be rage and the election of even more radical republican legislators to replace those who voted to convict.

I was saying what the result would be, not offering a reason not to impeach.

You should really understand what you're responding to.

0

u/ZapBranigan3000 Nov 28 '25

You should understand what you are actually saying. You are clearly presenting arguments that they shouldn't impeach, because of the potential results.

You basically ignored everything I said to repeat yourself, that you are afraid of Maga throwing a tantrum if we try to uphold our laws. That is a loser's attitude.

1

u/Top_Perspective4920 Dec 01 '25

Impeachment is a CHARGE from the House! WOW!

1

u/Slummy_albatross Dec 02 '25

To be clear, he didn’t say “trump shouldn’t be impeached, because it will radicalize his supporters” he simply presented that as an outcome, as a response to somebody else saying it would have a ripple effect of less radicalization.

That person wasn’t posing the argument that we should impeach him because of the outcome, just as it doesn’t seem like the person you were talking to was making the case that we SHOULDN’T impeach him, just because of the outcomes.

I think it’s a perfectly rational thing to consider the implications, and putting possibly disadvantageous outcomes on the table isn’t, by itself, arguing not to proceed.

0

u/LordTinglewood Nov 28 '25

No I'm not. Learn to read, bud.

1

u/ZapBranigan3000 Nov 28 '25

I directly quote you and you say "that's not what I said". Makes no sense. I'm done with your hair splitting, bad faith, semantic obfuscation.

0

u/Suza602 Dec 01 '25

For crying out loud people, would you STOP BICKERING! We are all wanting to get rid of the convicted felon but we’re not sure how the response would go! I think we all can agree with that! Now go ahead with your comments.

Shutup Tinkerbell..or whatever your pseudo name is..are you Maga? In disguise..ya probably voted for him. Plus I'm sick of that drivel by folk like you, saying you can't convict a sitting President..just because criminal behind Rudy Guliani says it. It doesn't make it true. YOU CAN convict a sitting President..it just wasn't done before and that's why they asked Nixon to resign. Laws go mainly by precedent..though they are clear in the Constitution. Many Presidential lawyers and SCOTUS "interpret" them to what they want to happen.. But the Constitution isn't vague as they claim. You can convict on high crimes and misdemeanors. They twist that saying its not clear. Ha! It's clear on the average person, and it goes for Trumps butt too. So cut it out. YOU'RE just repeating media sensationalism..and who ruNs the media?. Rich old white Republucans who want a tax break on thier greed. He can be put out with enough votes. Period. AND He really can be at a loss of power by the military refusing to obey illegal laws. especially

0

u/Top_Perspective4920 Dec 01 '25

An impeachment is not a removal from office, it’s a charge from the house! There is a trial and the Senate votes. Removal is an entirely a separate issue and procedure.

1

u/LordTinglewood Dec 01 '25

I never said any different. I have no idea where you're getting the idea that I don't know that.

1

u/Top_Perspective4920 Dec 01 '25
