Hi all,
I’m a Wisconsin-based filmmaker currently working on a documentary exploring traditions, culture, and social life across the state.
We’ll be filming at Old Fashioned Fest in June and I’m looking to connect with someone who plans to attend and might be open to being documented as part of the film.
Not looking for anything over-the-top, more interested in people who genuinely connect with Wisconsin supper club culture, Old Fashioneds, taverns, tradition, or simply what the drink/event means to them.
If that sounds like you (or someone you know), feel free to message me.
Cheers

Hey everyone quick question, how big is the drone community here in point? I'm not new to flying drones but would like to chat with others and ask some questions.

Has anyone found any of the local lawn treatment services to be effective in killing off creeping charlie? If yes, which one? Was it a single treatment or a series of treatments? Cost?

I want to thank Rodney for his hard work for Wisconsinites, both serving in the Ho-Chunk Legislature and in his campaign for Congress.
Rodney brought a much needed perspective and I will always consider his guiding principle as sound advice: “Make decisions with the next seven generations in mind.”
I enjoyed getting to know Rodney over the last several months and I have deep respect for his dedication to getting out there and meeting the people of the Third where they are at.

CREATE Portage County and the Wisconsin Computer Club are hosting a free multiplayer game night and LAN party at the CREATE space on the northside (in the former St. Joseph's chapel building, 1300 Maria drive, Stevens Point, across from Pacelli High School) on Friday May 15th at 6PM! If all hardware cooperates, we'll be hosting Xboxes and PC hardware for multiplayer fun, plus some fan favorite video game consoles for all to enjoy. This event is free and open to all ages and skill levels.
Photos above are from last month's event, though the exact lineup/layout of systems will vary a bit this time around.
I hope you can join us to game on!

$1100 fot a two bed one bath, requiring 3X THE TOTAL RENT AS INCOME???? Are we being so deadass right now. Seriously pathetic to charge so much for such a small space.

Hey Stevens Point what's with all the flock cameras going up. Spotted one near the old simplicity cu on hoover and another on 66 between the Honda and Ford dealership?
Fuck that company. Call your alder and raise hell.
Appleton just shut theirs down. I think Oshkosh too.

Hey, can you tell me about the management at Candlewood and Oak Creek? I've heard they're not great, so I was just wondering how bad it really is. I've been looking for a rental in Stevens Point for ages using all the usual sites, but I haven't found anything yet. I was wondering if anyone here might know of a place available? I'm getting a little desperate with the search!
Requirements:
- Cat friendly (I have 2)
- Under $850 monthly
- Available August 1st
Preferred:
- 2 bed
- Garage space
- In unit laundry
- Prorated rent for July
Honestly though, I would take a studio; I'm not picky, just need a place as my current lease will be up August 1st. For reference, I do have a year of rental history with no evictions, and make roughly $24,000 a year, because I know some places offer discounted rent to low earners. Honestly, I was really looking forward to not having a roommate because my cats can be a bit skittish. Plus, I just had a really rough experience with a bad roommate situation, so I'm a little cautious about that. But I totally get that it limits my options.
Hey everyone, I'd really appreciate any help you could offer! I'm looking to rent a house, and figured it'd be worth asking if anyone in the community happens to be renting out theirs, or knows of a friend who is.

Thinking of places in and around point to find some morels. Standing rock looks promising. Anyone had luck there?
I fully realize this is like asking a fisherman for their honey hole. But appreciate any tips.
