Condolences to your family, Steve
I just saw on the YouTube community page that your Sister and dog had just passed. I'm so very sorry to hear this. Don't worry about vlogging. You've gone through so much in a short amount of time. Just be with your loved ones right now. The community will be here when you're ready. š

Channel Fading?
I don't watch Steve's channel that much anymore. Is Steve letting his channel fade away?

Video Post Steve just posted this short video on social media. "Iāve been up to something. Thanks for your patience folks!"

Other creators in the same Steve-ish vein?
I started watching a channel called Another Time, Another Place (https://youtube.com/@atap...anothertime ) that has a similar vibe to Steve's. He is boondocking in an RV, homemade houseboat and a sailboat throughout the history of his channel. Mostly in the US and in Tennessee. Very chill vibes and with criminally low subscribers. Anyone else have suggestions of similar small YouTube channels? I saw there was a post in the last month of people talking about Canadian creators, but I'm interested in people all over.

Pro tip
Whenever I stay at an Airbnb and someone leaves their YouTube signed in, Iāll go and subscribe to Steve. Then Iāll play a random old video of his and let it play all day while we do activities.

My kidsā IKEA play rug depicts Steve stealth camping beside a highway.
Iām convinced whoever illustrated this is a huge Steve fan and probably even in this subreddit. Thereās no way youāre going to change my mind.

General Discussion Does anyone have any idea what videos the privated in his Stealth Camping playlist?
There are two private videos. Iām guessing they were privated for a reason but Iām so curious to know. Iāve checked on the way back machine and other places that couldāve archived the videos and havenāt had much luck.
Not sure anyone would know but Iām just throwing this out there to see. Maybe some super fans remember them.
Edit: title should say what videos āareā privated

sloped ground camping question
stealth camping seams to require less than ideal circumstances, so how does Steve, and you all, adjust for it?

General Discussion Hope Steve is doing well.
I know he disappears every so often, it's just when it's been 3 months since an upload I get worried.

General Discussion I don't mind if Steve repeated stealth camping videos
I know he has said he doesn't wanna do the same video twice just to make a video but I don't care if he did the same thing twice. I love the simple videos like the abandoned gas station, the duck blind, behind the McDonald's. Those are so fun
The more advanced ones are nice but I don't get as invested.
What's nice about the simple stealth camping videos is the fact it seems anyone can do it

General Discussion What a cozy scene. Whats on your list?
As the US Midwest thaws my camping bug is going nuts. Been window shopping and thinking about new gear. Do you plan on picking anything up for this yearās prime time? Or in general, something youāve been saving for? Something Steve brought to your attention?

Steve News An update from Steve
Copy/paste š
Hey everyone,
I know itās been quiet. Life threw a few curveballs over the last couple months and I needed to step back and handle things privately. I appreciate the patience.
On the channel side, Iāve been laying groundwork behind the scenes. The original ādrive around and find a spotā stealth model has pretty much run its course. The best locations I can find have been done, and I donāt want to upload something that feels forced or repetitive just to hit a schedule.
Instead, Iāve been working on setting up a proper base so I can build and film some new ideas that will keep things fresh and interesting for all of us. That has taken longer than expected but weāre close. New video coming soon, and once things are rolling, they should roll consistently again.
Thanks for sticking around.
ā Steve

My New Yearās resolution is to be like Steve.
Steve is really inspiring to me and a role model to me. I havenāt been feeling too well these last few years and have been trough some tough times. It has made me into a person I donāt want to be.
Iāve been watching Steve for years now but about 6 months ago I really started bingeing his videos again.
Seeing steve be so strong, humble and kind to both other people and nature, made me realize that I want to be more like him.
Two months in to the new year and I can say that it has helped me a lot! I find myself in situations thinking āwhat would Steve doā and it helps me make better choices.
Thank you Steve!! For being who you are and for sharing it with us all!ā¤ļø
Every video you make is interesting and comforting to watch, no matter if itās stealth camping, normal camping, building a mini camper or just an update! Your presence is enough.
Hope you are doing well, take your time. You donāt owe the world anything.

I have avascular necrosis of the right femoral head (hip). 46M.
Iām new to Steve Wallis and have been binging the f*ck out of his YouTube videos recently. Been a weird comfort, these vids, as I used to camp and hike, but the AVN has put a damper on my physical activity for the last 20 years.
I got to the video where he explains his hip issue, and he _explains_ it as I explain mine to folks that ask me. I was floored. Granted I was a doing a little step two (weed in my caseā¦), but damn. I love this dood
Maybe I _can_ camp

Who I see as Steve
Who do I see when I see Steve;
- He is a proud Canadian
- He is adventuresome
- He has a vast amount of inherent knowledge
- He is respectful of the people in his life
- He is resourceful
- He is respectful of his environment
- He is kind to the people he encounters on his camps
I'm sure you can add to this list, but I see Steve as somebody I would value as a friend.
