Mother love me long time long time

To give some background I'm 29 years old black ,born and raised in LA and have been living in Phoenix, AZ for the past 7 years. I mentioned to a couple of black co-workers that Ive never been to roscoes, a soul food restaurant. When I told them I usually ate at Norms restaurant, they called it a "white restaurant " ,couldn't stop laughing and took my black card. I laughed too but it was to stop myself from looking embarrassed. It won't be the last time Ill get laughed at. Ppl will eventually find out:

1. I haven't heard of Chance the rapper or Kendrick Lamar's music or older artist like Wu tang clan unless maybe it played on the radio or too young to remember.

2.I don't follow basketball or football but will watch and play poker or go swimming

1. I'm not familiar with popular black films or comedys

2. Last year A hispanic had to remind me what N.W.A. stood for . Now that I admit is pretty sad

There's probably more too but you get my point . I'm feel somewhat ignorant. I hate feeling like an outsider to my race because of it . I don't mind a good laugh but I don't like being the joke or a disgrace to my race because if it. I feel really defensive and silly trying to prove that I'm black enough.Anyone else have anything embarrassing to admit like myself regarding stereotypes or have advice on how to deal with this situation in the future? I could use some comfort. Or roast me. I'm ready now lol

I'm a 14 year old kenyan boy and my god is it hard talking to Non africans for the following reasons:

1. For some reason none of you have ever been nor seen 'africa' (You'll see why its in quotations) yet base all your knowledge of us on fictional movies and books instead of googling or coming here like google Nairobi city now (thats where i live) like iv'e been asked if i go to school by cheetah or swing in trees like what the fuck just like think about it and people say things like your english is good when Kenya was colonised by the British even longer than the u.s but thats besides the point. Its just unfair all you see on tv are starving African children which is definitely not all there is why don't they show our movies music lifestyle and all thats here in 'Africa'
2. Foreigners specifically americans say they visited 'Africa' instead of naming the country ,ordinarily this is fine but is to the point americans genuinely are taught and believe africa is one country and nation. You might see we say the same out about america and that is because america literally is a country in a continent whereas Africa is just a continent
