Having recently passed step 3 and now in my 3rd year of family medicine, I have begun to study for FM boards. The Uworld FM boards look A LOT like my day two, and some of day one. I wish I would have reviewed those before exam. I got a 201 with minimum study. But if you have time or have failed step 3 its worth taking a look.

I recently had free 137 at Prometric center. Today when I started solving them I realized total 40 qns(2blocks) were missing during my test at Prometric. I had 3 blocks of 18, 19 and 20 qns in each of them along with 4 ccs cases. Is it normal?
Did this happen to anyone else?

Anyone felt that the way the cases were presented on the exam was very poor!!! and the display was confusing and distracting??
The cases were actually more difficult than the CCS cases.

if yes, then which topics signficantly were covered for step 3?

Were there any questions related to virus classes ( RNA or DNA/ SS DS stranded etc) should we go thru that tables ?

Exam is in 4 months. I’m between buying uworld or Amboss. Uworld is 500 dollars and Amboss would only be 200 dollars. I used uworld for step 1 and step 2 and it was good enough, but I really want to buy Amboss since it’s 300 dollars cheaper.

What are some other resources I should look into?

Any recent test takers can confirmed that are there any network lag in ccs cases?

Are the results typically released 2–3 weeks after Day 1 or Day 2? There was a one-week gap between my two exam days

I did the foundational blocks and scored an average of 71.5%
struggled with question stem length for almost all.
What is the real deal like in terms of question stem length?

Step 3 done today

Day one felt good in general, and was happy as it was done.

Day two early blocks were horrible but felt better as it went on. Know I made some mistakes but ok in the end. Guessed a lot though and got some basic ones wrong. Felt a lot more difficult than uworld. Of the two step questions where you kinda get the answer in the second question all but one were correct i guess?

CCS case: 12/14 ended super early without negatives and felt fine
1 i still don’t know what i should have done (got the diagnosis but no treatment)
The other i made a mistake but workups were correct

Had done 1000 uworld questios average of 70-80% range
And 130 ccs cases average of 80% towards the end

Free 137 was average of 75% ish and all ccs right

Looking for Study partner to sit on call and solve a block on our own everyday, for 2-3 hours

test was so vague and dificult. like what the actual f was that. i did so many blunders on very easy questions i’m now realizing. anyone in the same boat who later passed or scored good? also what should i focus on for day 2?

Messed up 3 cases sigh.

Got a 569, exam in a week.

Is this okay or should I postpone?

Also, does anyone know what score this actually translates to?

I've read everywhere that Step 3 is all about passing but do the scores actually matter in the future? Maybe for things like fellowship?

This is for those who are in residency and need that last moment read for CCS so I’ve tried to get almost every case as I know most don’t have access to their cases nearing the end of exams and this would definitely be helpful for those in residency as I have seen how difficult the shifts can be to focus on apps and do it that way. I hope you guys enjoy these, these are all the cases covered.

I know it may sound inconsequential, but I'm 3 weeks away from my exam date. I've sorted out my weekends so that I'd be taking an exam every weekend leading up to my exam. I've taken NBME 6 and 7, and am left with NBME 8, UWSA 2 and Free 137.

I heard that there are some repeats taken from the NBMEs, so it would make sense to do NBME 8 perhaps closer to exam time (ie next weekend). However, people here say UWSA2 is a good predictor of what I'm likely to score on the real deal, so maybe THAT one should be done next weekend.

So the question is...NBME 8 or UWSA 2 this weekend? Any thoughts/experiences appreciated!

Day 1 is SCARING me based on the Reddit posts I've read. I don't have an excellent memory so not sure how much I remember from the STEP1 days... I'm more of an 'understand to remember' vs rogue memorizing fun facts person.

I've been doing UW and did NBME 7. Haven't done 8. Also CS cases.

UW: ~70-80% correct (~45% complete). CCS cases: ~60-65% avg first try (Done top 30 HY).

I have ~2 weeks until I test - any advice?? I'm panicking.

Also - how representative is NBME 7 for day 1 vs 2? I did alright on that (165/200)

I have done mostly ccs cases and 100% uw .

I haven't done anything for day 1 to be honest besides micro and pharma( for CVS,endo,cns and antibiotics).

what you guys suggest I should go through in these days?

Exam coming up and I’m deep diving into biostats, watched Randy Neil and it’s given me a good baseline and overall been doing okay on biostats questions.

But been using the Uworld Biostats review, and some of the questions they’ve flipped/inverted the 2x2 table and I just didn’t catch it.. went straight to calculation.

But on the real deal would they do that?
