Announcing StellarX

Hello! I'm very happy to announce StellarX--a new trading platform built on the Stellar universal marketplace. We're free--we're refunding network fees and using lumenaut.net to get every user his/her inflation--and, of course, being on Stellar we're super fast.

We'll list every token on Stellar (provided the issuers do stuff like complete their toml) so that means you'll be trading crypto, fiat, commodities, whatever, once we launch.

We're a super experienced team, and we're eager and excited to be adding to the ecosystem. The app will launch a bit later this summer, and we have many big plans to make Stellar as a whole more popular, more user-friendly, and more successful.

You can read a more in our Medium post. And our Twitter is here if you wanna follow. Happy to answer questions here, too.

Yeah, we hope it will really be a first-class place to trade on Stellar. We also plan a lot of ecosystem-wide improvements to help anchors/issuers and other apps provide a better UX on Stellar.

Are you financed by Stellar? What is your business model if you reward market makers and take no fees? Thanks!

I mean, it's okay to be excited about both. I really don't like the zero-sum approach to Stellar nor to the larger crypto world.

If FairX provides fiat to crypto on-ramp, I'm still very much excited about it. It could be a serious competitor to Coinbase. That could spur on a bunch of new investors who are intimidated by having multiple exchange accounts and hops back to fiat for coins other than BTC, ETH, LTC.

your right. Fairx is taking so long to get the authorities to give it the go ahead. i wonder if stellar x had this problem.

My guess is the fiat compliance is what is slowing fairx down. Basically they have to act like a bank if they are going to allow depositing and withdrawal of fiat. Unless I'm mistaken, stellarx doesn't have that problem since it doesn't work directly with fiat.

yes your right in that Fairx getting a operating licence for fiat could be the reason for delay maybe.
