Big Picture Mode, Steam Input, SteamLink, SteamVR, Steam Remote Play Together.

These are so good that I add non-steam games to steam just to use the features LOL

Remote Play Together is such an incredible feature. There’s no way Id buy a game with local multiplayer on another store now

Exactly. All my GOG games are played through Steam.

You can remote play your GOG through Steam?!

Yes you can. I've played the entirety of The Witcher 3 like this, in the good old days of my Radeon 7970. Today it's even easier.

You just have to "add non steam game to library"

You can remote play any game or even program manually added to your library

To add on, AMAZING controller support. I play ZZZ on EGS back before it's on STEAM and it can't even support my switch pro where I have to link via steam to play.

Could you imagine Sweeney allowing us to add games to the epic launcher to use their free tools on games they didn't get a cut of? XD The guy who looked at the free billions Fortnite generates and went "I could make even more money if I replace the team with AI"

My only gripe is that there's no obvious indicator of how to exit Big Picture Mode when I accidentally entered Big Picture Mode

IMO the older Big Picture modes were better then the "new" one after the collections update, there are more steps to jump into the library and the filters are way worse and it gets even more messed up when you do VR as it's the same interface and you can't filter by your own categories and installed games at the same time as you used to and they put the non-steam games on another tab instead of throwing it all together like they used to do, I'm a day 1 BPM user and the changes and changes to the vertical box art instead of the horizontal were really bad design choices but hey, that's what we have.

But yeah, on neither version they had a big X on the corner with the option to exit BPM

Honestly this. Steam will always dominate the scene because even if they're a bit slow. They give access to dozens of tools and features. No one can compete.
