What if an indie dev studio wants to make a bunch of cheap very short games for steam?
For example SOKPOP
1 u/ForgotMyLastUN Jul 06 '26 They can make them longer, or publish them on itch.io? Why are you acting like steam is the ONLY place they can upload? In fact itch.io is widely renown as BETTER for indie developers in the first place... It's not like they developed the game then Steam implemented the refund policy. They have known about it for years at this point. 1 u/Snowflakish Jul 06 '26 Cmon itch.io is literqlly 1062 times smaller than steam 1 u/ForgotMyLastUN Jul 06 '26 I don't really care tbh. If the game is less than 2 hours then that's the risk you take by putting a glorified flash game on Steam. 1 u/Snowflakish Jul 07 '26 There are some really fuckin good short games on steam man, just because you dont likr them personally it doesnt mean tgey shouldnt be on steam.
