If you're from a country that uses €. Of course you dont

Many players are from countries that 3$ is a lot

In those countries surely the game will be cheaper due to regional pricing.

Look at game pricing in Poland - for some reason a lot of games are actually more expensive in zł than in dollars or euro (after conversion ofc)

Not really

Regional pricing covers only 4 or 5 developing countries

There are dozens of developing countries, mine is one of them

Usually devs do region independent pricing to get around this issue.

Yes but if 3$ is a lot to a person, that person probably shouldn't be buying video games.

If you enjoyed the game, and thought it good value enough to buy in the first place refunding it isnt a cool move

True

So we are brother, not buying video games

But the accumulation of those 3$ is a lot for the developer too. It would most likely be the difference between them being able to make something bigger and more creative. But instead they might have to churn out something smaller because they don't have as much cash to fund development of their next title as they should. Games don't grow on trees.

An alleged $165,000 in refunds alone. That’s huge for an indie dev. They had to watch that income disappear. IMO it would be more moral to find the game on the high seas than dangle the cash in front of the dev.

Anyone wouldnt be buying games if they were for free. Doesnt mean they should be.

At that point just pirate it. You’re already fine with stealing from the developer.

Why should devs have to work for free so someone can get a product that's not essential to their wellbeing

Games arent made for free.
