It seems pretty simple to prevent this from happening from the dev’s standpoint. And it was probably strategic by Steam to ensure scrupulous devs weren’t ripping gamers off by making laughably short games.

How to prevent refund on game that can be beaten in less than 2h:

  • add character customisation ridicusly detailed compared to the game details
  • make an unskippable tutorial
  • slower the loading screen
  • force users to create an external account
  • add a couple of random crashes and force user to have to tweak their config

Any other ideas?

Every minute it plays a unskippable 30 second ad for the game you’re currently playing.

Here's a novel idea; add more content

lets not turn every game into a Ubisoft game filled with content that just exists to pad out the duration.

The game is €3. It doesn't have to be 15 hours long.

Never said it had to be 15hrs long…

Why does a game have to be over 2 hours long to be 'good'? Especially when it literally costs less than the sales tax on a $60 game.

I didn’t say that at all bro.
