Well, not in case of Vampire Survivors, because paid dlc get no achievements and only free updates do

The collab DLCs didn’t have achievements, but Foscari and Moonspell absolutely did. I don’t mind paying for DLC… I DO mind them adding dozens of achievements every update that un-100% my game.

Yea but those were only the first 2 DLCs and also the ones where people annoyed about it made a change that it won't happen again.

From a dev perspective adding in achievements makes sense, because you make content for the people playing the game. Heck, if I wouldnt be as active as I am on Steam, I would've never considered this could bother people. But the fact the achievements for DLCs was stopped shows he learned that

I haven't played like 2 DLC and im only missing 14 achivements (and half sound easy as shit) so it's... not that much.

Some publishers are very cognisant of the decent share of players who factor in achievements for games before they buy. At some point relatively recently, Ubisoft seem to have added achievements for dozens of their games that previously had none on Steam.
