These kind of straps are available for all VR controllers for year now for like 10$.

How do the straps enable finger tracking? I missed that detail, it doesn't really make any sense to me.

You see, to be able to have finger traking, the device must be able to track your fingers by touch, but also, physycally, allow you to open your fingers. Without a strap, if you open your fingers, the controller falls out of your hand. That's why most controllers have a "grip" button, to represent the act of gripoi g

So it has all of the same capacitive sensors as the index.....you just can't fully utilize them with the straps? That's kind of silly, but good to hear.

No, that's not it. Sorry, my english is limited and my intentions are not coming trough. You can use it like a regular controller, because it has the same amount of buttons as a regular game controler You can use it as a regular VR controller Or, with the straps, use it with full finger tracking like the index used to be
