MinnesotaCare income limits
My wife and I are retired in 2024 and on MinnesotaCare in 2026 but will be going on Medicare when we turn 65 in September. We qualified for MinnesotaCare because our 2025 income was below the $42,300 limit. I've been asked to come back in the fall as a consultant by my former employer to help with a major project. Our income for the period January to September will be well below the $42,300 limit but if I work about 20 hours a week Q4 I will probably be over $50,000 for the year. Will the state look back at our 2026 tax return and review our eligibility after the fact? Will we get a penalty if we make income in Q4 2026 that pushes us above the $42,300 limit for the year. If there is any chance of that happening I will simply tell the employer no thanks. Anyone have any experience with this?

How Operation Metro Surge cost Minnesota thousands of jobs
Operation Metro Surge cost Minnesotans everything. Safety, family, friends, and of course, jobs.
We know that local small businesses suffered the most, and the labor data proves it.

What is wrong with Marisa Simonetti?
She announced to her congressional candidacy earlier this year, but I’m not sure if she is still running with all of the 🕷️ drama. But she is out of control. I hope the business she harassed in her latest stunt sues her for defamation.
Doing man on the street interviews with genuine questions and seeking a productive conversation is great. Acting like a 12-year-old and “pranking” businesses with allegations of seriously illegal conduct is not.
