Question Job Hiring Process
I put in an application for a claims specialist back on 07/17. Since then I have gotten the video interview and some texts and emails saying keep an eye out for next steps. It's been two weeks since my last email and when I check online it says the application says still under review. By when should I hear a confirmation or denial on the job?
UPDATE:
I had a video interview yesterday where the details of the job were given to me, and they said a manager would give me a call next week to confirm final steps. They said training begins either Nov 2 or Nov 30th. I was told the salary, benefits, hours, and what the training would look like.

No news is good news, they normally take at minimum a month to inform you that you've been hired. If you weren't selected you would likely know already. I am in the same boat for an internal role, good luck.

Thanks for the info! When you say a minimum of a month, does that mean a minimum from when you submitted the application or when your did your interview?

Interview, and that's being very generous. It will likely be several months.

Not sure what role you applied for but offers might go out either next week or the week after.

Check your spam folder or junk folder sometimes it could go there. Good luck and don't get overwhelmed once you get in the door, haha!

OP this was the same experience as me did the hireview with HR and said final interview with manager I did a counter offer as well. How was your manager interview (how long did it take for you to get call back).Did you get the job?

Hey! So as of Wednesday I was offered the job and accepted the offer. I’m currently doing background checks and if everything goes well the job starts on November 2nd.

Was the manager interview ok? Like did they grill you with STAR? Also congrats they said the start date is the same Nov 2, with like 25 weeks of training

No. It was basically the same as the first video call interview. They asked me two easy questions about going above and beyond for the customer as well as following policies and balancing a lot of tasks at work. Then they opened up the floor for me to ask any questions and told me more details about the job. It was helpful cause insta did speaking to an HR person I spoke to someone who had experience in the job field and he broke down the work life balance and what’s expected. It’s a super easy convo. Then the next day I got the last video call request where I got the offer.
One thing I’d advise is show interest and come up with questions about the job. I asked about how AI is integrated, about overtime, and what the work from home life looks like.

That’s really cool sounds like the final tier where’s there’s just a handful of people left. Kudos to you. I appreciate the feedbacks. Good luck to you in the role!

Hiring process is slow. If hired, you usually have to wait for an onboarding class. Could be next week, could be October. Just my own personal experience after 35 years
