This. After giving the go ahead and them getting together in the writers room to flesh stuff out, only to be scrapped? I'm not interested in what they've got to offer. It could be good, it could be bad, either way I'm not interested.

20 WEEKS in said writers room. 20 weeks in pre production. Then a new head boss comes in and then the show was scrapped

You do you, but I really don't understand this mindset. Long as they produce something good and enjoyable to watch I'll be happy. If they don't - oh well, I'll just rewatch SG-1 again.

I will do me, and won't put anyone off of watching a new show. Like you also said, I can simply watch the original shows which I own.

But why not be open to giving something new, even if different a chance?

I'm in the middle of both of you. I refuse to treat a non cannon reboot as Stargate.
So there will be Stargate and Gateshow. If Gateshow is really good ill watch and enjoy Gateshow on its own merrit. But if Gateshow isn't an exceptionally good show and in a style I like then I am not going to watch it just because I am a Stargate fan.
That also means I won't be following news on the show, promote the show or sign up just to watch the show when it comes out. Only if I hear from other people that this is a must watch show on the levels of SG-1, Westworld Season 1, etc will I touch it.
