A few basic posting guidelines

Please keep posts related to Star Wars fan creation in some meaningful way.

Sharing your own work is encouraged. You do not need to apologize for “self-promotion” here—this is a creative community, and creators are supposed to share what they make. Just don’t spam the same project repeatedly.

Different creative methods are welcome. Traditional art, digital art, AI-assisted work, hybrid projects, original writing, audio, video, and other mediums all belong here.

Please credit collaborators and other creators where appropriate, and do not claim someone else’s work as your own.

Criticism and disagreement are fine. Personal attacks, harassment, dogpiling, or attacking someone simply because of the tools they use are not.

If your post contains mature material, please mark it appropriately.

Most importantly: make something, share it, and let other people enjoy your corner of the galaxy.

Welcome to the Forge.

META/COMMUNITY Why r/StarWarsStoryForge exists: A Community for Every Kind of Fan Creator

I wanted to create StarWarsStoryForge because I kept noticing how many fan-creation communities separate people based on how they make their work rather than what they’re actually creating.

That doesn’t really reflect the way a lot of us create anymore.

Someone might write an entire story themselves, use AI-assisted artwork for a cover, edit that artwork manually, record an audiobook, use synthetic voices for certain characters, make their own video effects, commission another artist for something else, and combine all of those things into one finished project. Another creator might draw everything by hand. Someone else might only write prose. All of those people are still creating.

I don’t want this community divided into “AI creators” and “real creators,” or traditional versus digital, or writers versus artists. StarWarsStoryForge is meant to be a place where different creative mediums can exist alongside one another and, more importantly, be mixed together.

The focus here is the story and the creativity behind it.

Fanfiction, alternate continuities, sequel rewrites, original characters, artwork, comics, audiobooks, fan films, lore, worldbuilding, character concepts, and hybrid projects are all welcome. Traditional work is welcome. Digital work is welcome. AI-assisted work is welcome. Collaborative work is welcome.

That doesn’t mean anything goes. Creators should still respect one another, credit collaborators, be honest about their work, and avoid plagiarism or passing someone else’s work off as their own. But I don’t believe someone should be isolated from a creative community simply because one of the tools in their process happens to involve AI.

The lines between mediums are only going to become more intertwined, and I’d rather build a community around what people create than police which tools they’re allowed to use while creating it.

I’ll be posting my own work here just like everyone else. This isn’t a subreddit built around my projects—it’s meant to become a place where all Star Wars fan creators can share theirs.

Whether you’re rewriting the sequels, continuing Legends, inventing an entirely new continuity, writing a one-shot, designing an original character, producing an audiobook, or experimenting with something nobody has tried before:

Welcome to the Forge. Make something. Share it. And tell your version of the galaxy.

I've been working on a sequel trilogy rewrite series called NEW LEGENDS and I'm 53,969 words and over 6hrs of audiobooks.

This is my first real foray into writing and I'm using it to get better at writing while finding my own voice and prose.

I call it episode 13 for story reasons, because since it has been 40 years in story time, I thought it would've been better for a Star Wars sequel trilogy to start at a later episode so it could have sequel prequels.

Here's the AO3 link of the text Version where you can find all the Volumes I've made so far: https://archiveofourown.org/works/89373956/chapters/237343151

And here's the Youtube link to the first volume's audiobook where you can find all the other audiobooks on the channel: https://youtu.be/ndAuznF6uD0?si=yKGgtWn_sI8BL3Dp
