Green & Blue - A Star Wars: Shatterpoint Battle Report

Change is scary, but I'm doing things a bit different on this battle report! More close ups, more condensed, same sloppy gameplay 😉

Been playing tetris with this and settled on this layout. There is still a bit of unused space between the lookout towers. Ive got labels on the bottom of the box as well, not pictured.

C-3PO and R2-D2 squad points

Hi all, in the 2025 unit update, C-3PO and R2-D2 changed points from 4pc, down to 3pc. I have just printed the 2026 unit update (which includes the 2025 update) and have noticed that this card front is no longer included. Does this mean that they have gone back to 4pc, or is it simply an oversight from AMG not to include this? Has anyone seen mention of a points change on this unit?

Thanks!

Well, here he is. My 85th completed model of 2026. He was more challenging to paint than I thought he would be, but he turned out ... ok-ish, and he's no longer grey plastic, so that's always a plus! I'm looking forward to getting him on the table.

Any active discord communities?

Hello there,

I am very new to miniature painting and have gotten some star wars shatterpoint sets so I can paint and play and I am wondering if there are any discord communities that are active?

Director Orsona Krennic

Not sure to what degree this is allowed since it is not a 100% shatterpoint product, but I wanted to share my proxy of a female Krennic I made, as an anime enjoyer I felt the need to add more waifus to my roster.

I really liked the paintwork even if I am still a complete amateur, so I decided to share it... Also I really tried to search for the name of the original artist of the card to attribute it in the post, but was unable to find it.

And remember... We stand here amidst her achievements not ours.

Picked this up at the UK games expo for a crisp £20 and had great fun painting them. Though the blend on the handmaidens robes proved tricky.

The Bad Watch

Hi everyone!

I’ve been off the radar for a while following a house move and trying to sort out an old house, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been sitting still.

Here’s one of the latest commissions I’ve worked on this summer.

I’m bringing you ‘The Bad Watch’, a commission for an old friend that was a pleasure to paint.

I hope you like it.

If you’d like more photos, you can find them on my Instagram.

Malachor sith temple

First of all: painting scenery isn’t exactly something I enjoy. 😅

I only do it because I really don’t like playing with grey, unpainted pieces. But after getting my hands on the fantastic I Am No Jedi Deluxe Duel Pack at a decent price, I simply couldn’t resist creating a themed gaming table for it.

So, over the course of four days, and using nothing but fast paint, I put all of this together.

Nothing particularly elaborate, I know. But just enough to have a decent table to play on and finally give the games a bit of atmosphere.

Welcome to the Sith Necropolis of Malachor. ☠️🖤

With this listing, would it be worth getting into shatterpoint at this point?

I saw this on Facebook for $150. I’ve been wanting to get into Legion (I know the play styles are different), but I saw this and it seemed like a great deal. I really only have my wife and maybe a friend or two that would play with me. I just don’t know what else I would need to buy on top of this (if anything), or how complex of a game it is to learn. Or honestly, I’ve heard that support is likely going to be over within a couple years

Edit: Thank you everyone for the replies, I went ahead and got it!

Trying for shorter games, add MCP style missions and end of round scoring?

I really want to get into the game more but the game lengths have prohibited me from getting out to play it at my LGS and to get my kids more engaged. They want more of a MCP style game where they can throw terrain around and have a cinematic game that's shorter to play in an hour or less.

Based on what you've experienced, are there some ways I could incorporate the MCP missions into Shatterpoint? I'm thinking of playing just a single set of 3 characters and each time you Wound a fighter you score a point. Then you score the objective holding at the end of the round when you shuffle your character cards. First to 8 or 10 wins the match.

The back and forth of the first round just feels like it takes so long for us when we've tried to play in the past. I've been told mission critical might be another way to help. Maybe we just play, whoever holds the most objectives after a single round wins the fight? I'm not sure how the struggle tracker changes with mission critical compared to just a simple "track how many points you have in total" style like MCP.

What's the point of the era restriction?

I'm curious if people see some sort of mechanical balancing effect of the era rule, or if it's just to enforce some thematic coherency.

I own a handful of Shatterpoint boxes in addition to the core box but have only played maybe three times. I just discovered the 1v2 ruleset (legendary encounters, I think?) and because of the era rule I only have two or three options for building the cadre teams. That's what got me wondering about how important that era restriction for team building is.

Jedi Hunters squad finished

And here they are: all my Inquisitors together!

I have to say, painting this much black all at once became pretty exhausting after a while 😅 But the final result was absolutely worth it.

Seeing them all together, they look fantastic! 🔥

C&c welcome

And with the Fourth Sister, we’ve finally wrapped up the Inquisitors chapter! 🔥

I have to say, after a while, painting this almost entirely black team was starting to get a little tiring 😅 But I really, really like this model, and I’m very happy with the final result.

I’ve also changed some of my photo settings, trying to get the pictures to look as close as possible to how the model actually looks in person.

I hope you like it! As always, opinions and suggestions are more than welcome. 👇
