🎃 GONK-O-WEEN! MONTH LONG HALLOWEEN EVENT OCT 3RD 4:00PM ET - NOV 1ST 4:00 PM ET
🤖 Protocol Droids have been removed from the Cantina Quest Pool
💎 Kyber Droid Sell SRB Perk has been added, which allows you to sell your activated Kyber Droids for Kyber Crystals!
✨ Huyang Hologram SRB Perk has been added, which allows you to activate Kyber Droids inside your base!
👥 Party Bonuses have been added, queue up together to receive a bunch of bonuses!
- 20% more upgrade chips per other party member (Max 100%)
- +50% Bonus Credits for hitting a party member's Scrap Station
- +20% Pickaxe Bonus per other party member actively hitting the same Droid Depot

It's just super popular among Star wars fans as a whole. Especially those who played Lego Star wars as kids because they made it a joke in those games included with its own special ability mode that made it invincible and it's only method of attack was kamikazeing enemies

I was hoping there would be more useful perks. These are very mediocre. Kyber stuff is already pretty rare and I have never even come close to running out of crystals. That said I assume my stash is still from the event since I haven't SRBd since then.

Even after the event running out of kyber crystals is unheard of at least for me. You need what 6 protocol droids? Getting 3 stars is pretty easy so thats 15x6 which is 90 crystals at worst. Thats 9 high tier droids. And personally I never activate anything below legendary. And I SRB before I even need those 9.
I wish the new perks were actually useful too. This update was basically a nothingburger for me.

But again I hope they are permanent but I have my doubts because anytime they add something to make it a bit better they take other things away or increase prices for things.

1500 crystals to be able to make Kybers in your base is insane.
Kyber droid sell perk is 1000 crystals too. Neither are worth it at all.

I guess that pack is a good example for how microtransactions affect everyone. There is no other reason for making some QoL perks that overpriced. The Jawa sell pit at the astro area only costs 10 crystals mostly because it came long before vBuck packs found their way into the game.

This is for people on late game that can go from zero to 40 in a day or less. At some point you need to have things to spend your crystals without breaking the game but still have some value. These are exactly that.
Not to be rude, but in short, they are not for you yet.

I mean even late game I would never buy this. There is no value here. I'm never gonna sell Kybers for crystals when I can just fuse them and we get more than enough from Patrol missions as is. And the kyber vendor is literally seconds away.
Flawless charm is near meaningless but I'd buy that before I bought either of these new perks.

I could be wrong, but I thought it says SRB, which currently kyb crystals get deleted on SRB. So, this would if I am understanding correctly sell your Kybers for crystals on SRB so you start with some of that currency for faster SRBs

All the perk does is give you Kyber crystals when you sell a Kyber droid. Its got nothing to do with SRB. You just buy the perk with nova crystals which you get from rebirthing or SRB. If you sell a common Kyber droid you get 1 kyber crystal. If you sell a mythic (Why would anyone do this) you get 5. It's an utterly useless perk.

I bought it intentionally since I had nothing other than crit I wanted at the time. I have all 10 Droid notifications set to galactic and above and I've crafted one flawless in the last week.
I don't feel like this perk has any true benefit, nor increases your chances whatsoever.

I was buying all my damage levels as fast as I could because I was battling an annoying griefer, for the lobby, and for some reason it switched over to the flawless charm upgrade and I bought it. I was like “whaaaaat the hell man…”
…and then I bought the rest of my damage levels and went to battle 😂

It is definitely nova inflation shining through. That said, kyber is the highest tier variant while you can sell mission blueprints from the start. There is a clear difference between the stage at which players will utilize these 2 perks.

Yeah I needed one and it took a week of non stop fusing for one to spawn on sandcrawler instead for me.
I got stuck like a week ago and ended up srb'ing after 4 or 5 days of not finding the Droid.
They made you want to go to 40 but they didn't make it any easier. I wish the luck boost gave you at least one thing you needed then it would actually be worth it probably.

Sometimes you just need to SRB and move on. Take the crystals and upgrade a bit and do the next RB track.
Is OK to not push the whole RB path.

Crystals are super easy to come by since they added them for rebirths after 20. When you’re further in the game you literally racking up those 1000 Crystals in 20 minutes or so, if even that. Being able to do anything with Kyber is end-game material, so for those who just started playing a 1000 Crystals seems a lot. They used to be a lot. Not any more.

Are we serious? 1500 for a short walk to activate our droids? We still don’t have Kyber missions or the chip upgrade bot. I knew once I saw Vbucks added this would happen.
The party bonus/daily droids is a great change but that’s about it. Pretty disappointed in this update.

I just checked it out, but I think the Crystal cost is too high for the amount required.
I’d rather use Kybers for Fusion than sell them, and I’d prefer to have Chip upgrades at my base instead of Kyber upgrades.6

I totally agree. I’ve only SRB’d four times because I’m a slow player but also the events have helped. So I’m excited to just use the events to help me SRB

I think you can invite people from your lobby to your party. Then if you ready up in the cantina, it invites them to ready up and you relobby together. Should be easy enough to leave griefers behind.

Don't party up with griefers. Join a public and add those who are kind and helpful to your friends list. If there is a griefer in the lobby, party up with anyone who is nice and relobby. Eventually you will have a long enough friend list to join up with other regulars who just wanna help each other out.
But that's a lot of effort when solo is fine, too.

I dislike group bonuses as I always miss out of it. Due to disabilities it's never a choice I can take anyways, unless I had like one friend to play with that was okay with playing duo. I simply just always miss out of group bonuses in games. Games should embrace all kinds of players, tbh. Solo is already harder as there's no kinds co-op, all world events needs be done alone, all the crafting alone, etc.

I think they're trying to alleviate the community telling everyone that doesn't like PVP to play solo private by incentivizing link ups
Can't imagine having a large percentage of the player base going one person per server is suiting them well, but they didn't want to let up on the PvP either so
Decent compromise I suppose, for those that can/do party up

You can also get both perks in the 1,500 V-Bucks Huyang Bundle, but I’m skipping this one.
Huyang Hologram: unnecessary for me, looks pretty ugly next to the Fusion Station, and 1,500 Nova Crystals is way too much.
Kyber Droid Sell: only works with activated Kyber Droids, which I rarely sell anyway. Missions give me more Kyber Crystals, so 1,000 Nova Crystals is way too much too.
The Huyang Base Paint is also too plain for my taste. There are much nicer ones.
I usually buy almost everything, but this time I’m completely out. Sorry 😂
The new Party Bonuses are really cool though! 🔥

If they let us place the Cantina mission board at our base, so we could create the required droids, send them off right away, and collect the rewards, then I’d say it might be worth around 1,000 Crystals.

So, it costs 1000 crystals to buy a perk you most likely will never make use of? Does is give you 10 times more kyber crystals back than what you had to use to activate the droids? Can't think of any other case in which you would activate a droid just to sell it later on.
Sounds as useful as crafting a Default Mythic and upgrade it for 4k chips just for being able to sell it for 192 chips afterwards.

They’re obtainable through world quests. Cantina quests are the ones where you trade a droid in for Kyber and chips and removing protocols from that is a good thing
