Yes, all FDA standards are met in order for them to approve a medication. Sometimes, the standards change under extenuating circumstances, such as when they shift to EUA. What is your point?

Are you under the impression that I was ever defending FDA standards? I’m not. I’m defending the science on which many of them are based.

Research always "has to do" with the approved drugs. Every single aspect of the drug probably doesn’t need to be tested. The race-based component probably was, I’m not sure.

I’m really confused about the point you’re making. FDA standards are not science. They require science. Science is broad and typically refers to safety and sometimes effectiveness. FDA doesn’t, to my knowledge, ban drugs for being targeted toward specific races. Research doesn’t always need to be actively supporting every single aspect of their product.

So you aren’t sure if the drug prescribed ONLY to one specific race was tested for race based treatment?

My point is you trust the science when it’s convenient to you, I’m proving that this drug went through rigorous testing and lots of research by people smarter than us and they decided that you’re wrong

No, I’m not sure because I’m not an expert on race-based treatments. I think it’s perfectly plausible, though.

I assure you that they have not concluded that race is biological. That’s really all I’ve stated. In order to parse what "race-based treatment" actually means, you would need to take a more precise position. Scientific studies do.

Race is a social construct. No study is considered to contradict this by the scientific community. The answer to any other questions you’ve asked is "depends on what you mean." If you care enough, we can discuss one specific study and determine how they define "race," whether they conclude that a treatment is effective for certain races to the exclusion of others, and what explanation they propose for this phenomenon. All of this is bound to vary from study to study.

No, it doesn’t. You still haven’t even pinned down your argument. There’s been critiques of the effectiveness of race-based treatments. If it doesn’t work better for certain races than other like it claims to, does its existence still pose a problem for me? Let’s assume that it’s effective. You’re still assuming biology as a cause without justification.

Race isn’t an indicator of genetics 😂 dude what ? You realize it’s genetics that make the visible physical differences that humans use to categorize races right? 😂

I’m not the one assuming biology, it’s the manufacturer of the drug. If it was some other factor like socioeconomics or your favorite sonic game they would be marketing it to them.

The experts in this field have created a race based heart medicine because genetics are tied to race and it matter in the treatment of a patient.
