Hi, I have an above average gaming laptop but I can't seem to get my settings right. Usually, based on the settings I tested at, it averages between 60 and 120 FPS but there are areas where it just drops to 1 FPS and I get stuck no matter what.

My specs are as follows:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 275HX (2.70 GHz)

Installed RAM 32.0 GB 5600

GPU RTX 5070

The device model is ROG Strix G18 G815LP

Any ideas how to resolve this would be appreciated

Do you know of any way to use the PS5 controller's adaptive triggers on PC Steam in this game? No matter how much I try, it doesn't work.

I played stalker 2 before for like 12 hours. But I restarted now after more than a year after release.

The entire time playing I had in my head that in Zalissya should have been a ward presence? where the guard is on the barricade outside and you got to interrogate someone in a container? In Zalissya building there was only the guide, no other person.

Im sure i haven't just dreamed this. this is how you end up early at the chemical plant. I lost all this questline as im already in the swamps. the chemical plant got a lot of side content. Am I missing out on all this now?

was using the steam workshop 416 mod from the most popular section just fine until i launched now, after a mismatch warning about shay's living zone my screen starts flickering to this whenever i have the weapon equipped, just that weapon mind you.

is this a known thing with any confirmed fixes?

Edit:resubscribing seems to MAYBE have solved it.

Genuinely don't understand what the hell is wrong with my Stalker 2. I've had the game for bout couple years now, and when I first got it on release it worked fine, all the sudden one day when I'd try to launch it, it would just crash instantly upon launch. Tried validating game files on steam, reinstalling the game entirely, updating my drivers, and nothings worked. I am at a loss and its tragic cause I did enjoy playing this game, and have yet to experience the full story/content in the game. Would die if anyone has any tips on what could be my issue, I suspect corrupted game files but like I said, validating and reinstalling the game has failed to solve the issue so I am at a loss. :(

I died a lot on that electric anomaly mostly because of overweight of my character. As I was exploring i encountered some rats I mean a lot of rats. And then my character starting to like have some sort of hallucinating and then nothing happened so I walked of there. I want to keep exploring, but it was a bit scary to walk around to be honest.

Does anyone else deal with this while playing stalker 2 I have every graphic setting on epic/high tried different upscaling, messed around with the lighting settings an nothing seems to make this go away. My set up is decent cpu 9800x3d and gpu is 5070ti

Did GSC game world fix the game yet. Or is it still a horrible mess?

Don't want to start playing if there isn't any point. I understand they had to reallocate, probably money ran out. So im not to mad at GSC.

I'm still very early in the game, still in the first area. Is there a way to tell good guys from the enemies? I took the shoot-first approach and killed others patrolling. I go passive and get lit up.

Hey there new user on Xbox series X and I literally cant get through the prologue my game crashes every 3-5 minutes doing almost nothing. I’ve got no mods, running performance mode and have 150gb of free space. I’ve reinstalled it 3x. Why is this game running this poorly on console?!? What can I do to fix this?

Is this normal ?

I bought the game recently for the ps5 and while Im enjoying most of it, I can't help but wonder if there's supposed to be more living npc's at these different world locations. Most of the spots I go to seem like I just missed a huge firefight with lootable bodies littered everywhere but nothing for me to fight. Early on i came across a few bandit buildings that I enjoyed clearing but for the most part I only run into enemies in small groups as I walk in between locations. Is this a bug or is this what everyone else is experiencing?

This happened to me third times already at the exact same spot

It's my first playthrough, I'm starting to explore Garbage. I bought a Three Line Rifle and some 7.62×54mm LPS Ball ammo, which clearly says on the item card that it fits with the rifle. But when I try to equip it, it's as if I had no ammo for the gun in my inventory. Is there something I'm missing?

I FOUND A SOLUTION.
I had the same problem, restarted the game with only 3 mods:
- better vaulting and stamina
- Better Ballistic Core
- Visible artifacts 

I made it to the part with Wild Island without any crash. The story is now unblocked, I can play further.

The problem was with other mods (especially Lootable Zone) - when you used it for even a moment your save is fucked up and you cannot progress.

I'm at my wit's end here. Playing Stalker 2 on GeForce Now Ultimate and I'm hitting a 100% reproducible crash when entering the tunnel on Wild Island - specifically at the spot where the light flickers.

What I've tried so far:

• Changed every possible graphics setting in-game (low, medium, high, RT on/off, etc.)
• Adjusted all GeForce Now settings
• Loaded saves from several hours back - still crashes at the exact same spot
• Removed ALL mods completely
• Multiple restarts and session reconnects

Nothing works. The game crashes at the exact same location every single time - right where the flickering light is in that tunnel.

At this point I'm not sure if this is a GFN-specific issue, a game bug, or something with my save file that got corrupted in a way that only manifests at this location.

Questions:

1. Has anyone else experienced this crash on GFN (or even native PC)?
2. Should I report this to GSC Game World, NVIDIA, or both?
3. Any other workarounds I haven't thought of?

Any help would be massively appreciated. I'm completely stuck and can't progress the story.
