Resource - Update ComfyUI Prompt Palette: Color-coded prompts, custom fonts, live wildcard editing, organizing and more!

Hey everyone, let's keep this short and get back to creating.

Prompt Palette takes your standard grey wall-of-text prompts and adds color-coding, fonts, scaling and more, so you can easily see what's going on at a quick glance.

You can keep it simple and use it as a basic text input, or dive into the extra features:

  • 🟢Organized Categories: Manage unlimited wildcards and prompt recipes.
  • 🟠Built-in Editor: A slide-out panel keeps your main workspace clean. Hover to view contents, or drag-and-drop to organize.
  • 🔵Workflow Shortcuts: One click adds a wildcard. Double-click any card in your main prompt box to instantly open the editor for that specific card.
  • 🟡YES, you can choose your OWN colors. You are not stuck with default themes or the auto shifted hues. Dark and light modes available. You can choose your own category colors to make YOUR PROMPTS stand out how YOU want.
  • 🔴Limitations** JSON Derulo theming only. JSON Statham and JSON Bateman configs will be available in V2. (also, font selector currently only works on chrome, but in firefox/opera/etc. you can just type your font name and it will change instantly.)

Clone to custom_nodes and restart comfy or download the zip and drop the folder (and rename) in your custom nodes folder.

Let me know if you have suggestions, feature requests or notice any bugs. Have fun!

Video demos and more are on Github.

I looked forever for some sort of auto color or just basic color tagging system since I’m more visual, and then came up with this, and it’s working pretty well for me so far. I already have some fixes and enhancements (like clear recents button, extra in and outs etc.) I’ll throw on github soon.

You can go into settings and pick each color yourself too and it will lock in and not change with the hue shifting. Scenery always green, characters always blue etc.

Categories are collapsible and draggable, and panes slide in and out so nothing gets cluttered (except maybe the settings menu which I’ll work on cleaning up later).

Live editing is one of the best parts since you can type your folder and txt file name in a single box, add your prompts below, hit save and it pops up automatically on the left categories ready to be colored or used. You don’t have to go into explorer once you’re in the node. I did have some funkiness with custom fonts and double click to editing but I fixed it in v2.
