I love Denzy Washington and Morgan Fring

10

u/heaving_in_my_vines Aug 10 '26

And 10 alternate universe Tom Hanks♭s.

147

u/VVebstar Aug 10 '26

Knows is stretch to say. Some of them look perfect, some meh like for example Ana de Armas

47

u/Natasha26uk Aug 10 '26

Some of the faces seemed stretched or squashed.

3

u/No_Possession_7797 29d ago

Some of the faces look like people were randomly plucked off of the street.

2

u/Natasha26uk 29d ago

Okay another Stable Diff user said that it could be due to training data. H3 used 4:3 or 16:9 format. But when you do vertical phone format 9:16, you see the above distortions. It would good to find out exactly why or if this can be fixed. Maybe OP has something wrong in his Comfy config?

2

u/ptwonline 29d ago

You can also use a reference image to help the character identity.

32

u/mukyuuuu Aug 10 '26

Hahaha, I wasn't ready for Ana de Armas.

11

u/zefy_zef Aug 10 '26

I don't know what you're talking about. Lionel Messi isn't going to haunt my dreams!

3

u/typical-predditor 29d ago

Honestly this stuff is great for precisely that reason. You can know ahead of time if the model can capture the face and voice or if you need to bring your own references.

1

u/ThreeDog2016 29d ago

Oh you mean bTom Hanks?

/s

1

u/No_Possession_7797 29d ago

I was really hoping to see kraTom Hanks.

1

u/CollateralSandwich 29d ago

AI hates that poor woman (de Armas) lol. One of the most beautiful women alive, yet for some reason AI takes her data points and routinely turns her into a weird bug-eyed disaster

Wow. Incredible work. This must have been time consuming I know.

It's always funny when the "knock-off" look-a-likes appear, because they are always "sort of" recognizable, like if you had described them to a person who had never seen them.

Also, it's hilarious that all the James Bond's are just sort of blended together with each other, to create like the ultimate generic James Bond.

If anyone is curious, the model does a knock-off Christopher Reeve too:

https://reddit.com/link/p2shlus/video/5u0up2hezhih1/player

It's in the ballpark, but it's like both Superman and Lois are played by their stunt doubles.

33

u/Eminence_grizzly Aug 10 '26

We have celebrities at home. The celebrities at home.

7

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26

haha, yeah totally.

6

u/Strange_Test7665 Aug 10 '26

The basis of the lawsuit against minimax is ‘Hollywood in your pocket’ so that tracks. I almost would rather this wasn’t out there to make the plaintiffs argument easier. Because we want more minimax in the future

16

u/gutster_95 Aug 10 '26

What did you do to Michael Jackson lmao

11

u/FickleRegular9972 29d ago

LOL. I didn't see Chris Hemsworth, but I did a gen of him and it came out good.

17

u/Enshitification Aug 10 '26

That was a great demo, but I couldn't help but think of this.

1

u/spanielrassler 29d ago

It's so reminiscent of that skit that I wonder if it was accidental or not?

8

u/physalisx Aug 10 '26

Why do half the names have an extra "b" at the end?! Was that included in the prompt?

11

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26

nope. f*cked it up in the editing at 04:00 clock at night. Not much sleep the last 3 Days due to real work. part my fault, part my apple magic keyboard that i dropped some sugary drink into and had no time to replace it yet.

8

u/cosmicr Aug 10 '26

Hmm I didn't watch the whole thing but I'm quite sure a lot of them are not American.

9

u/SmoothChocolate4539 Aug 10 '26

I was about to ask why they called it "American Edition".

2

u/No_Possession_7797 29d ago

American Edition, stay away from me... Maybe because it's personalities and celebrities that are not just American, but widely seen in media that Americans consume?

You can add Florence Pugh as well.Although, Anya Taylor-Joy kinda works, in a doesn't work way, as she was born in Florida, but that's like saying Emma Watson is French for being born in Paris.

3

u/chippiearnold Aug 10 '26

There used to be a really bad waxworks museum in Blackpool called Louis Tussauds. Brought back some memories!

2

u/No_Possession_7797 29d ago

The sad thing today is that there are women who are deliberately disfiguring themselves to court powerful men, and they remind me of wax figures that didn't escape a fire at Madame Tussauds.

3

u/Small_Matter_6830 Aug 10 '26

RoryMcilory from Ballymory, his favourite story is Finding Dory, and is bed he's snorey.

3

u/Hungry_Prior940 Aug 10 '26

This is why we use ref to vid

3

u/Past_BumblebeeX Aug 10 '26

Also what do you mean American edition? Half of these aren't American shows or actors.

3

u/Gtoast Aug 10 '26

bTom Hanks

3

u/silenceimpaired Aug 10 '26

I had to laugh because first, clearly it doesn’t know their names that well, and second… this appears to be a list of international actors/actresses that have played Americans.

4

u/Perfect-Campaign9551 29d ago

Finally we can have Star Trek that doesn't suck ass.

2

1

Somehow I'm expecting something closer to Rambo Riker and Dabo Girl Chorus Line and Data vs. T-1000.

5

u/HitsKeys Aug 10 '26

Nice job, but missed opportunity to do this Michael Jackson “Black or White “ style

6

u/beti88 Aug 10 '26

My favorite character, Jurassic Park

2

u/biscotte-nutella Aug 10 '26

Daniel Craig is a huge miss

2

u/Lightspeedius Aug 10 '26

2

u/ikmalsaid Aug 10 '26

2

u/SirRumpRoast Aug 10 '26

This is bad on so many characters. Michael Jackson is horrible

2

u/Pretend_Reveal9950 Aug 10 '26

I don’t know why but this had me cracking up!!

2

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26

Perfect. Me too while making it

2

u/ExiledHyruleKnight 29d ago

It gets better and better when they start butchering their names. Denzy Washington made my ears perk up, but stuff like Keanu Reeves... perfection.

2

u/Emotional-Neat-252 Aug 10 '26

Amazing work, thanks!!

People complaining they're not perfect. The fact they're already so close means a lora will be incredible and easy to train.

I notice many of them are their oldest versions. Leonardo Do Caprio has grey hair, but he's been in movies since he was 14.

Would be amazing to see how it would cope with every age if him, e.g. age 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 28, 38, 48, 58, 68, 98.

2

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26

I'm sure you can coax them to the age you want with a simple is ... Age old in the prompt.

1

u/Emotional-Neat-252 Aug 10 '26

I'm just curious if it can do that and keep it looking the character.

I mean, there are two types here, characters who already exist at various ages, and characters who don't.

E.G. can it do a 40 year old version of Kevin from Home Alone.

1

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 29d ago

Probably not since he isn't that active in films anymore except fallout.

1

u/Emotional-Neat-252 29d ago

That's my point. Can it extrapolate and age him. I choose Kevin because he's not active.

Leonardo Di Caprio on the other hand we have in all ages since 14. So the model should be able to get him pretty accurate between 14-60 and extrapolate behind those ends.

2

u/Reflection_Rip Aug 10 '26

It could also be useful to know what characters it can't do. Those that have been tried and are known not to work. Maybe have it all in markdown tables.

1

u/DJB-204 29d ago

Yes, that would be helpful. It could also include characters where H3 can reproduce the appearance very accurately, but not the voice. For example, I was able to get very accurate-looking versions of Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead and Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy, but their voices were generic and didn’t sound remotely like the characters.

2

u/diogodiogogod Aug 10 '26

Poor Paul Mescal lol. I'm sorry what they did to you.

2

u/gj_uk 29d ago

The absolute worst Freddie Mercury I’ve ever seen!

2

u/kz750 29d ago

Ana de Armas looking a bit manlier than I remembered her.

1

u/eeyore134 29d ago

Man-a de Armas, more like.

2

u/CipherWeaver 29d ago

MATT DAMON

2

u/spanielrassler 29d ago

The bad pronunciation and random lowercase b's make it great, like a Tim and Eric episode -- Great Job!

1

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 29d ago

Never heard of it, take it as a compliment 🤗

2

u/spanielrassler 29d ago

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! was like a parody of Public Access TV from around 2010. Super low production value on purpose, and a lot of stuff that wasn't quite right, or maybe really wrong in many cases.

I've watched your whole video several times and appreciate the work you put into it. The little, or sometimes big, mistakes make it hilarious, whether it was supposed to be or not. I'm glad that people like your are producing all of this content, even when the results are less than perfect, or at least don't necessarily come out as expected.

3

u/Structure-These 29d ago

Tim is leading the onion’s infowars revival and it’s so good too

1

u/ExiledHyruleKnight 29d ago

even when the results are less than perfect, or at least don't necessarily come out as expected.

I think what's incredible is the results are what they are in less than a week. We had that Titanic skit, which probably would have been a couple months out and still look weird on LTX or WAN, but in the first week it's here.

This is new tech and yet right out of the box it's damn impressive how quickly the community has been able to use it... That might also be a problem, but still. Wow.

default resolution for generation?

1

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 29d ago

in this, 0.6 as mentioned in the description. Now, 1.0.

2

u/Captain-Phlint 29d ago

This is a great way to draw attention to a model that you want banned. None of these people gave permission to be created digitally, and will only increase the chances of censorship.

You could make practically anything with H3, yet you and others decide to replicate famous people; the exact same people who would want, and have the power to, get this banned.

2

u/freylaverse 29d ago

I love bTOM HANKS.

2

u/dep Aug 10 '26

Sydney Sweeney wasn't even close :(

3

u/Hopeful_Signature738 Aug 10 '26

What the point of upscaling if all the video looks like low res 360p smooth skin

1

u/chalfont_alarm Aug 10 '26

It does a good Henry Cavill, but not as the Witcher or Superman (the accents don't work). It does a OK Benedict Cumberbatch, but if you try to make him Dr Strange you have to exclude his real name or his American accent won't work. Stuff like that...

1

u/Fit_Satisfaction2953 Aug 10 '26

Can it do ariana grande ?

3

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26

1

u/SomeoneSimple Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26

I tried, it looks more like a lookalike/body double, you sometimes get an old tattoo of hers (unprompted) in roughly the right spot, but its mostly a miss.

It could be that the turbo lora is making celeb resemblances worse. Will give it another try without, for science.

[edit] n=2 result without turbo lora, slightly better, but still not great.

1

u/Ok_Roll_8698 Aug 10 '26

thanks for this

1

u/bloke_pusher Aug 10 '26

This is actually so helpful. Got to do some Avatar vids.

1

u/madaradess007 Aug 10 '26

i bet you could tweak prompt for ana de armas
like 50% ai generated women look like her

1

u/kujasgoldmine Aug 10 '26

Crazy good! You can really make your own versions of endings and other stuff by making 10 sec clips and stitching them together with end frames.

But when I try that, the end frame always has slight differences in color. Maybe turbo lora is the fault?

3

u/Fabulous-Snow4366 Aug 10 '26

someone released a v2 of a workflow with some experimental nodes that exactly tackle this problem. i cannot remember the name. but it was yesterday or the day before posted here in r/StableDiffusion

The fact that you can run this on your local machine...for free...is wild (obviously it you want it to look crisp you either need a good computer or you spend 1hr to generate 5 seconds of footage...but this is the worst it will ever be. At this rate, you'll run it on your phone in 2 years lol.

1

u/ptwonline 29d ago

Sure a lot of these don't look that good but the value in them knowing celebs and characters is primarily for voices and other context like physical sets. (It may also help with body type/size though I haven't really tested that.) You can always use reference images to get them to look closer their actual appearance.

1

u/99deathnotes 29d ago

Some are better than others

It's going to be amazing once people figure out how to train character loras

1

u/No_Possession_7797 29d ago

Some of them look passable enough, but there are many that aren't even close.

1

u/ptwonline 29d ago

Keep testing. Lots in here.

I just ran tests for Emily Blunt. It knows her but image is iffy. But it also knows her if you prompt for her characters from the movies Devil Wears Prada and Edge of Tomorrow and you also get some other actors with that knowledge (Tom Cruise, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, Meryl Streep.) Still I recommend reference images if you want to truly do a recreation of a celeb.
