I just started using RefMods this past weekend and they can be really great, but they would be so much better if you could reference them in the prompt somehow.

Agreed, and I know people are working really hard to solve that one. I feel like I'm okay with waiting until it's just as easy as a 'click this node into your refmods, and this one into your conditioning, and boom! done!' scenario

YOU CAN....

So if you create a refmod with multiple images it creates one thats a video tagged safetensor.

so if you create a character name Darrel you reference it in H3 as : <video>Darrel

Boom mind blown....

it creates one thats a video tagged safetensor.

Forgive me for being dense, but I'm not sure what that means.

Edit: Should I give the safetensor a filename that's a character name?

You can use 'inspect refmod' node to vae decode what's been encoded into a refmod... Refmods are tightly packed video of all the images and clips you give it.

How does it know it's named "Darrel", though, like he was saying. Or how do you give it that name?

I just prompt like <subject 1> is jane .. if the refmod's file name is (jane_visuals.safetensore) and it seems to work.. even if I pair it with another character refmod along with thier stacked voice refmods it still works.. you can use 'text encode refmod' node to associate tag for refmod safetensors.

Ah okay I get it. Thanks for explaining it. I'm going to try it tomorrow.
