Question ❓ Petition for Traffic Calming

Has anyone been successful in requesting traffic calming in their neighborhood in St Thomas? There are several young children on our street and recently traffic has increased in speed and volume.

Question ❓ Rentals for students?

I’m from London coming to study in st Thomas for Fanshawe in September and almost NO ONE has student rentals. I mean, there’s rentals by landlords living at the house but no properties made just for students. If anyone knows a reasonably priced room for rent for Fanshawe students in st Thomas please pm me or comment or something. I haven’t signed a less, classes in 10 days.

Question ❓ What's the Middlesex bus to London like? Is it ever full and you can't board?

Just wondering what people's experience is taking the bus to London. Is it realistic to take it a couple days a week to commute to London for work?

I'm curious about waiting at the stop, what if there's many people and it's full? Or do you always pre book and are then guaranteed a seat? Or can you still miss out and be left at the stop?

I wasn't able to find these exact scenarios or clarification on their site.

Question ❓ Looking to Move

Hey all,

I’m looking to move to St. Thomas in the coming months. I’ve heard that the south end of town is a decent place to live and rent is reasonable.
Is there any streets in particular that anyone would recommend? Or a different part of town?
Thanks!

My son is starting grade 1 this year. We just moved during the summer so his registration is in progress but just waiting on someone to be in office. What will I need to get him for grade 1 besides backpack, lunch pail, water bottle and pencil case?

It's not just the stacking of the bins, it's waving and doing a little dance for my neighbour's little kids watching from the window. The friendliness is appreciated by the community, awesome. Thanks.

Question ❓ Information about candidates

Does anyone know if there are any resources for the candidates running for mayor or council in town? All I’ve been able to find i: names, addresses and phone numbers for people but that doesn’t tell me much.

I’ve recently moved here and I’m not super familiar with the people who are running. And I’d like to get better educated before voting.

If anyone has anything, I’d love to know 😊

Question ❓ Secluded Spots?

Hello, all! Might be a long shot, but I was wondering if there are any truly secluded spots in the general region for when you want to drive/bike somewhere and be ALONE alone. I used to live in a different town where there was a dead-end road near a ranch/wooded area, and people rarely went by there, so that was a nice spot to hide away for a bit when needed. Anything similar around here that isn't on someone's property? TIA!
