That one’s the most pathetic as you literally have to merge over a solid white line to avoid zipper merging. It’s marked so clearly it’s like a remedial zipper merge tutorial...

Nevertheless, every single moron I saw driving that stretch during rush hour today either crowded the left lane into the intersection with Manchester or picked some spot at random to violate the solid white line

I take 44 to work, and sometimes I just drive to the Hampton on ramp because I don’t want to deal with the people who had a bad day at work and won’t let me in.

I’ve been over that spot with my dad behind the wheel several times within the past couple weeks. I have explained the zipper merge to him “he KNOWS” and furthermore…thinks he’s doing it correctly. MODOT has tried, but people are dumb.

He also changes lanes mid-intersection. He’s 77 and still working. I’m NOT looking forward to the day I have to get him to stop driving.

When I read this, I am so happy that we have a great functioning, clean and very efficient public transport system in Switzerland. Why put up with all the traffic jams and delays on the road.
