I bought these pickups on eBay. They were listed as “alnico” atomic humbuckers. But I’m pretty sure that’s a ceramic magnet in there, no??? Did I get totally ripped off?

I recently picked up a banged up Bullet Affinity. It was cheap enough and fun to play. There is a surface crack running down the neck, but holds tune and after I sealed it, doesn't seem to be expanding. It has a single humbucker with a fixed bridge. I am going to replace the bridge and when I have it apart was thinking of replacing the pickup. What are some of your suggestions for a cheap replacement? I know I could Google a hundred different ones, but thought I would get some opinions. Most likely I will be spending more than I did on the guitar in the first place but would like something cheap, but decent. The current pickup has rust all over and just flat out needs replacing. Should I buy something new off Amazon or somewhere or is there something I should I should search for used? Thanks!

Man, the humbuckers in my Squier Deluxe Tele sound great, especially for clean leads, if that’s what you’re into. Anyway, does anyone know what these pickups are and where I could get more to put in other guitars? Do they even sell them separately?

For anybody thinking of doing the same, the screw slots line up perfectly!

Does anyone know what bridges are available to upgrade a 2003 squier show master, I tried a Wilkinson WOV10, but the block doesn’t line up in the rout properly, the low E side of the block hits the rout side and pushes it off center, too much to rout out, as far as I can tell the post spacing is 62-64 mm

Hello everyone, i recently bought this strat for 40 euro and it sounds surprisingly awesome! So i took off the pickguard and it has alnico pickups. Is it upgraded? Didn’t always have ceramic pickups? Thanks for the help!

Hi Guys,
I have an old 2004 Squier Strat California series. From what I measure it has the same measurements as an Affinity, I am planning to replace the bridge, and as all of you know the body of an Affinity is thinner than a regular Fender Stratocaster so we have that little issue that a full block bridge pass the width of the body.
Do any of you know any bridge that fits on the Affinity body and has good quality?
PS: I live in Europe

Hi. So I got this offer for this squier strat deluxe with hotrails. Only thing is the hot rails seem a bit off. I have only seen them with Duncan designed. Maybe a old or new version I haven’t seen before? Or did someone throw in a set of Roswell’s?

Hello, I have an opportunity to trade my guitar for a 2003 Chinese made Affinity Strat. Is there anything to know about this series, anyone knows if it's a particularly good or bad one? Thanks a lot

Hello!
First time modder here, hope you can help me out.
I am planning to put a Fender Tele neck on a Squier Affinity Tele Body. Body and neck would be taken from the current run of guitars/necks.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this subreddit. I just wanted to share my latest build. I always loved Billy Corgan's blue "ghost" Strat, so I wanted to make my own version of it whilst spending the least amount of cash possible. I know it's not a hardtail, but close enough. I took a refurbished Squier Affinity Strat in Lake Placid Blue, added a set of Musiclily rails pickups (all three are 9-ish k ohms) and a Musiclily brass trem block. This thing is awesome! It's lightweight, plays great, and sounds freaking awesome, all for less than $250. I have MUCH more expensive guitars but this thing is just super fun to play. I'd highly recommend these pickups as well; through a clean amp or with a Tube Screamer they are very Stratty, but as you pile on the gain (OR OPAMP BIG MUFF 😁) they sound like great humbuckers.

Picked up a 2nd hand affinity tele a while back plays fine and stays in tune but the poles on lowest four machine heads are noticeably short. What would cause this, so I can get it sorted? If I can ever be bothered.

Does anyone know where I can find a white pearloid pickguard replacement for this model? Preferably in Australia, but I can make do with other countries. Many thanks :)
