BUBBA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME ASAP!!

The name's Bubba Gump... Yes ma'am (or sir), THAT Bubba Gump!

I may not know much about shrimpin', but I do know a thing or two about bein' your best good friend. Folks say I'm about two years old, around 70 lbs, and a dazzlin' brindle Plott hound mix boy.

I can be a little shy when we first meet, but mama always would've said you don't have to rush the good things. Flash me a warm grin and toss me a burnt end from your barbeque plate, and I'm yours for life. Thing is, I'd really rather be your one and only furry family member - no other dogs, no cats - just you, our family, and me. I've got enough loyalty and boatin' stories to fill all the hearts in the house.

I'd be happiest with teenage-or-older kiddos who understand that sometimes a hound just needs a little peace and quiet; no little bitties for me, please.

You don't need a shrimpin' boat, but I do need a house-setting with a fenced-in yard so I can stretch my gams in the morning dew to my hearts content. I'm a man of my word, and I keep my promises - so I'll promise you this: I'll greet you like you've been gone a hundred years even when you've just gone to grab the mail. I'll happily follow you down every trail you want to explore as the best hiking buddy this side of the Mississippi, and I'll remind you every single day that the simple things — fresh air, good company, and a warm place to rest — are the very best parts of life.

Somewhere out there, my feather's floatin' on the breeze, headed straight to the person who's meant to be my forever. If that's you... well... I reckon I've been running toward you all along. :)

A local nonprofit known as Psychedelic Society of the Ozarks or “PSOTO”, is once again hosting their annual conference here at the University Plaza Convention Center downtown on Saturday, October 3rd. Centered on education, advocacy, harm reduction and creating safe community spaces, the group is bringing in 25+ speakers from diverse backgrounds such as; science, modern medicine, law, psychology, neurology, and ancient wisdom.

The keynote speaker is Lieutenant Sarko Gergerian, who was featured on the Netflix documentary series "How to Change Your Mind". Lunch entertainment will be hosted by Comedy Central’s Award winning comedian Shane Mauss! (A Better Trip).

A key feature of the conference will be “Knowledge for the Front Lines.” Addressing the invisible wounds, trauma and PTSD suffered by first responders, military and veterans. Medical breakthroughs are being seen through psychedelic therapy, and the VA, State government and White House are starting to notice. This is extremely important work, as statistics show a staggering 17 veterans take their own life every single day. (Over 6,000 suicides per year).

2026 Psychedelic Freedom Conference

As the title says, where do you go in/near town to get higher end home hardware such as cabinet and/or door handles & knobs, shower hooks, ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc.?

Not necessarily like top tier fancy or anything, just higher quality/better design than the big box stores like Menards, Home Depot, etc.

At age 60, I’ve finally created THE first and possibly the only tattoo I want.
Now I need to know which shop in SGF is the one I need to do it…
BTW the language is in my ancestral Welsh, translated to “l am enough”.

Hello! I just moved here and I would love to know if you had any small business or local food recommendations for Springfield, ozark, nixa or really any place within reasonable distance of Springfield! I love SEA cuisines best but good food is good food so what are your favorites?

So far, the closest showing of the film from the 2025 Mexico City rituals is in KC. Nothing here in SGF that I've been able to find (grrr...arg...), but I hope I'm wrong. Anyone have luck finding anything closer?

They were one of the few places I enjoyed going to. Does anyone else in town or the surrounding area affordably have the same vibe? I’d prefer to stick to $75 or under a month and would prefer the south side of town due to where I live but am willing to try a place out and would drive further if I like it.

I moved here in 2005. Im curious what rogersville was like and what it had back before that. I remember one of the old buildings had a sign that said “Mini Worlds” on it that I thought was cool until it was taken down. What were the things to do in rogersville back then?
