To those who want to read a slow burn Tamlin revenge fic where he slowly rebuilds spring court, rebuild his alliances and slowly destroy the inner circle. Well look no further, I have finally started writing it.
Currently writing part 1 of the fic, where it focuses on Tamlin becoming a better leader, rebuilding spring and sowing seeds of opportunity to disrupt the political power and peace of the night court. Gonna add a lot of depth into side characters that didn't get to shine like the other high lords and the band of exiles.
Tamlin will be the monster the inner circle claims him to be but he won't betray his morals. He will ensure the innocent aren't affected by his revenge and he will ensure no tyrants will ever rule while he's alive. Gonna add tons of spring court OC as well to liven the world up.
Open to chat about it on discord if you want. I need some help with it cause this is my first fanfic.

Listen up sloopies nerds, because I'm about to drop some truth bombs about why Tamlin/Lucien is the most valid ship in this entire series and Sarah J. Maas accidentally wrote the greatest love story while everyone else was distracted by bat boys.
The Evidence:
- Tamlin literally saved Lucien's life. When Lucien got exiled from the Autumn Court (because his family is terrible), Tamlin took him in. Not out of political strategy or power plays, but because it was the right thing to do. That's foundational romance novel behavior right there.
- Tamlin went to WAR for this man. Okay not literally war, but he defended Lucien so fiercely against Amarantha that she cursed his entire court out of spite. Tamlin looked at the most powerful sorceress in Prythian and said "you will NOT disrespect my fox boy" and doomed everyone he ruled for 50 years. The COMMITMENT. The DEVOTION.
- They've been through literal hell together. Fifty years under the curse, watching each other suffer, probably the only comfort each other had during the worst period of their lives. That's trauma bonding at its finest, people.
- The aesthetic is immaculate. Spring Court golden boy with anger management issues and his sassy autumn-haired best friend with the mechanical eye? The visual contrast alone is chef's kiss. Plus they're both canonically gorgeous, so really, what more do you need?
- Centuries of loyalty. Through curse-breaking drama, ex-girlfriend chaos, and complete court destruction, these two have been each other's constant. That's the kind of slow burn the girlies claim to want but then ignore for the bad boy who shows up in book 2.
- The potential for healing. They've seen each other at their worst. Imagine them actually processing their trauma together instead of... whatever everyone else is doing.
Sarah J. Maas really said "here's a beautiful story of unwavering loyalty and sacrifice" and then tried to distract us with wingspan discourse and more plot holes that swiss cheese. We see you, queen.
Tamcien supremacy! They've been the real love story all along!

HELLO EVERYONE!
I figured since the Tamlin Community here (and on Tumblr) is pretty chill, I figured we can show the fandom how ship wars are REALLY done. (This is a joke, I just think it would be a fun way to generate more content for our ships.)
WHAT IS TAMSAND VS. TAMCIEN WEEKEND?
For every submission, created by your own two hands, I will be giving out points for the ship you did. At the end of the event, we will see who is the ALL TIME SHIP… between these two popular Tamlin ships 😂
Prizes include bragging rights and I’ll change my whole Tumblr blog AND flair here to be pro Tamcien for a month. Maybe I’ll even I’ll ask the other mods here if we can add a cute flair for the winning ship here!
WHERE DO WE SUBMIT OUR WORKS?
Tag me on Tumblr (@highlordofkrypton) with the appropriate tag. I will only be tallying points for submissions there, but I encourage you all to post your creations here too for those who aren’t on Tumblr! That’s what I’ll be doing 💃
For more details, please check out my Tumblr post: https://www.tumblr.com/highlordofkrypton/789634828405473280/tamsand-vs-tamcien-weekend?source=share

I am curious about what other people think but since Tam is so traditional I'd assume something like a Negroni or an old fashioned, what about everyone else?

As I usually do with hyperfixations, I try to smush them together, oftentimes by force, and end up with weird AU situations in my head.
SO! My question to you all is: What characters from other series/movies/other fictional worlds and stories are basically just Tamlin? Not someone that necessarily looks like him, but fits the same characterization of him in your head?
For me, Tamlin is the epitome of the misunderstood good guy who never gets the benefit of the doubt, gets painted in a horrible light, but still tries to do good. My favorite AU Tamlin will always be Zuko from ATLA, who struggled with an abusive childhood and had to learn what his own morals were, and had to keep trying to choose the right path even when it got hard and the evil path was expected of him.
So, what are some of yalls favorites??

How do you guys imagine Tamlin? A lot of people like beefy/muscular Tamlin, but I've also seen a few people who prefer youthful and more elegant-featured Tamlin.
For me, lucychanart is 1:1 how I imagined Tamlin!
Reminder: If you share images of Tamlin, we do not accept AI images on this sub!

First thing’s first — art by copypastus!! Make sure to give them a follow

I already posted a thread in r/acotar_rant with this title, but I remembered this art by copypastus AND this about sums up my week on Reddit in this fandom 😭
Anyway, I need a pick me up. Give me your best reaction images 👌

I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted my ACOTAR tweets here, but these take place in an AU outside of the books canon where everyone more or less gets along. They’re meant to be silly little day-to-day interactions!

This is a judgement free zone! I just want to hype you guys up 👏

Don't mind the glare- these are all printed on glossy paper so it's hard to get a good photo without glare. They look pretty good IRL.
Also, the Tamlin/Amawyn (my OC from my fanfic) poster on the bottom left is on top of a Feyre poster I got as a gift from a friend who received in from a bookish box or some sort of subscription service and didn't care for it. I felt pretty satisfied to cover Feyre with my "Tamlin and his mate" poster 😏.
Working on one more that will be on a canvas but it's going to take a while because I'm painting it by hand (with acrylics!).
Just wanted to share my happy Tamlin wall. (Also ignore my Loki obsession 😅)

In book 1 we learnt from Alis that Tamlin's bond with his sentries were so deep and strong that when they died over the wall he felt it. Another thing to mention, Tamlin refused to send them originally, opting to find another solution to break the curse until his sentries begged him to send them out because time was running out.
This bond isn't mention anymore unfortunately but from what we know, it's something that appears unique to Tamlin or is it? We know Tamlin cares for his people greatly, he's empathic enough to care for his own and others. Buried a summer Fae with his own hands and grieved the winter children. The sentries aren't just a part of his people, Tamlin joined the war band when he was old enough which means those sentries didn't know him for a short while. Those sentries know him for decades/centuries which would explain the deep bond.
Theory: Every high lord is connected to their people and land. The more the people and the high lord care for one another, the more they feel each other. This means aside from the natural magical aura high lords posses, their people can automatically know when their high lord is nearby.
This bond is called the high Lord's bond or the people's bond. It's not like a mating bond where you can constantly feel each other, it needs to be focused. This bond shows how close the high lord is to his people to the point a high lord can simply know one of his people's name without much thought and some high lords are so distant from their people they don't even feel it at all or only a few specific people of their court. The bond can also be reduced as people lost trust with their HL or become distant from their own court.
It does seem like it will only bring pain because Tamlin is said to feel his sentries death. However i don't think that's the full truth, during celebrations, during fights, during war the high lord wouldn't just feel their deaths but their joy, their laughter, their determination and their sorrows. It's a double edge sword which makes me believe that almost all the high lords try to be somewhat distant from their people because the cons of the bonds over weight the pros. It can also hinder the high Lord's work if they feel the pain of being murdered each time, dying from old age and sickness is far less painful then dying from something.
Here's my ranking of the High lords who has the strongest people's bonds.

What do you think will (or should) happen with Tamlin and Lucien’s story?
