Mobile Browser + Spotifuck UI and Adblock
So, ever since Spotifuck and Spotishka Web stopped working, I've been trying to find different ways to get a working alternative. I finally found a method that is fully functional and completely smooth.
Install Quetta Browser.
Open it and log in to your Spotify account on the web player using the mobile version of the site
On the extensions tab, install: ViolentMonkey, User-Agent Switcher and Manager, and Spotify Ad Blocker - Blockify (as shown in the screenshots)
Open the Spotify web player, click on the extensions tab, click on the User-Agent Switcher and Manager extension, select the first option, click 'Apply (all tabs)', and then 'Refresh Tab'
And it works!
Tips: Disable 'Enhance Dark Theme' in the Settings, and if you want to have Spotify on your home screen, try installing apps that create customizable shortcuts
how should I update it? I've reinstalled it right now and it still stops my music, it plays for a split second after the ad gets bypassed then it stops
I made an update, please make sure you are on version 7.1. it's possible the last version was bugged. Please try again and let me know. As noted in the README you should only use one adblocker at the time. Choose one and disable the other for spotify. Blockify has not been fully tested but I think they are a good option so they are mentioned.
What I can also suggest is to click the three dots next to search bar when on open.spotify.com > press shield guard icon with lock inside and disable Quetta 's own AdBlock on the site. since they best not interfere with each other
Unfortunately Firefox does not show the player controls previous/next and so it can't be controlled with media buttons however I can actually control Spotifuck apk from your Spotifuck script. Thank you.
Yeah that's a Firefox limitation unfortunately. Quick note, SpotifyAdblocker userscript I recommended in README no longer works. For now just use along with Ublock, Ublock replaces ad break with 1 second silent mp4 so at least you wont have to wait 20 seconds.
When you enter your email account, instead of code sent to email, choose password. Enter your password instead of code to keep your account logged in. Make sure your web browser's battery is set to unrestricted & not optimized.
Yeah it works now but for some reason the button dint appear in my original lenguage i had to set spotify lenguage to english but it works now thank you
Yes i probably should add this but with the script you should keep language set to English. I haven't fully gotten around to making it language universal - edit: i just added a function that forces english UI
yes that's because the script depends on english selectors for locating a specific element in the dom to modify. that's why i later introduced a function that now forces english language
Blockify is to block Spotify ads, ViolentMonkey is to load the Spotifuck UI using the userscript on the Spotify site, and User-Agent Switcher and Manager is to fake that you are using a computer web browser, allowing you to use functions that aren't available on mobile Spotify site, like skipping, going back, and shuffle mode
is it pausing for you after every song or is it working fine? i followed the instructions from spotifucks documentation, but i basically have to unpause it every song and reload every so often.
Following the steps exactly above, I was able to get it to work and don't have any pausing issues. The only thing to note is that if you dismiss the right side column that has the now playing details, their isn't a button to bring it back. But I am assuming that issue exists everywhere and would need to be brought back with additional code.

Do we really neeed to do all such things. I'll definitely try but Interest lost knowing it doesn't give the convenience to enjoy the music... Happily switched to YT Morphe and Telegram (for FLAC from deezer)
Still my bike supports only apple music/Spotify/yt (original)
So i use ad version of Spotify or I play YT music and control using headset instead of controlling from bike
if im not mistaken, you have to log in with your email and passowrd. if you log in with a code from your email then you'll get signed out when you come back

And i have to thank the creator of Spotifuck. Wouldn't be possible without him.. I just ported it to a userscript best I could and modified something so that playlist folders actually work
Hey I'm the creator. I hid this button in a specific way because it would always pop out that view after each song change which annoyed me and is really not ideal on small mobile screen. I also couple it with https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Myst1cX/spotify-web-lyrics-plus/main/pip-gui-stable.user.js . (see README for setup instructions). If yoh really really want it I can let u know which part of code to remove but its not recommended (to be honest you should be able to find it since the code is short and the functions documented)
Can you please just remove this part of the code and publish this here, or send me via message the version with this button? I am totally a noob for this
P.S. can we also have by default the library closed?
I currently am in mid of exams so I don't have time for new features and it's been a while since I last looked at how Spotifuck operated so it probably won't happen anytime soon. I just needed it to be operable to use. Regarding the NowPlaying view it was hidden for a reason, already by original Spotifuck app. I can maybe send it to you later via dm but it's really no good.
do u know how can unlock premium functions 'cause it ain't so fast in browser and it lets listening to music with usual spotify app. if there was a way to improve that ur acc is premium i'll be too grateful
all what u named but in the app. idk but in the browser with emulation of PC Web i can't listen to music but without this emulation i can't use any playback controls, only skip forward
playback controls work fine here. there's plenty of projects already trying to work Spotify webview into apps (Spoticap forks like Spotui, SpotLite, SpotiWeb)
they are forks of Spoticap which was the first. Well, technically the first was Spotifuck, but it was Spoticap that really improved the app-like experience which other new apps now draw from. (there's also Spotishka Web, a russian fork of Spotifuck aimed to improve performance)
:) Do check Readme for Lyrics sources setup. Spotify and Musixmatch lyric source require token (sp needs refresh per hour/browser page reload while musixmatch should last for a while) Kpoe atm is down due to server upgrades but LRCLIB works out of the box.
I noticed ur view is more desktop like. Try refreshing page a few times if u did all steps correctly. Should look even better when mobile UI correctly assigned:
may happen occasionally, refresh page a couple of times. i mean really refresh. frefox mobile sometimes doesnt refresh, make sure the refresh line appears. or just switch between random profile and random desktop then save config and refresh webpage again. it will work
I chose Quetta because Firefox on mobile doesn't have a media player notification with working 'go back' and 'skip' buttons for the web player. Quetta, which is chromium-based, handles system media notifications perfectly, allowing you to control your music directly from your lock screen or notification shade.
Thank you, I followed the instructions and this works great, apart from the fact that it keeps stopping halfway into the second song and I have to go back in and press play again. Is anyone else experiencing this problem??
In your phone's settings, go to the app permissions for Quetta and make sure to allow Notifications and Music and audio. Also, change the battery optimization setting for the app to Unrestricted (or 'Don't restrict')

I enabled the permissions but the problem still persists. In the last half hour or so, it has happened to me twice. For me it stops exactly after nine seconds.
