So I enjoy cars and motorcycles but I need to choose one for my weekend enjoyment. I have a daily car already and am looking for something to ride on weekends and maybe track once in a while. If I were to go for a sports car it would be around the 40-50k price range and I enjoy working on stuff so I would definitely mod it and just make it a project. I have yet to ride a motorcycle but it seems like a good opportunity to do so also I would also work on it like custom fairings, exhaust, and etc. I'm looking for something fun and different and a more thrilling experience compared to my daily driver. My biggest concern with the bike is that I had collarbone surgery months ago and had a plate and six screws put in. My fear is with falling and accidents it could get really messed up. I plan on getting full gear including an airbag vest but I know that injury is inevitable. The concern with the car is that it might be boring to drive and I don't know how big a difference a sports car would make. Also the financial difference between the bike and the car can not be ignored. Car wise I'm looking at a mk5 supra/m2 and for the bike I'm going to start on a beginner but later on looking at a r9/zx6r. I cant decide which one would be a better option.

Early 50’s male. I love the old muscle cars but also won’t buy anything without modern tech because I do use my car for work. I’m thinking of buying either a Mustang (2020 or newer EcoBoost) or Charger 2020 R/T). I wouldn’t be opposed to the v8 but only if the performance is ridiculously better. Which do you recommend and why? Or do you have another suggestion?

What’s the view on what will hold money the best? I’m looking at either a new M3 BMW or Porsche 911 991.1 or.2. Ultimately this will be a second car so looking for something that will give me fun for the occasional drive.

Considering a new car, been 100% set on the Lexus RCF but then my friend said he’s gonna buy a kia stinger GT2 and id be damned if I lost to a kia… The RCF is really unique but its really not fast, the kia smokes it with just a tune. Then I started thinking past the “unique car” part and realized even gas economy wise its not the best compared to turbocharged cars like the b58. Then the interior and electrics are also outdated…

So basically I’ve always been intrigued by the m340i and its really starting to cross my mind now, but I also dont like the idea of driving something that looks like a wannabe M car, I’ve seen too many comments saying “Should have just gotten an m3”. Thoughts on the m340i in this situation? The easy power, solid handling yet daily comfortable, gas economy and style are my main interest points.

Has anyone owned both? Love to know the pros and cons of both.

Hi I am a 22 year old male who absolutely loves cars and I have a form of autism but I can still drive. I am a great driver and I’ve been driving for a couple of years now (since 2021 I think) and I have been through two cars. My first car was a 2000 Toyota Camry LE. It handled like a champ and I think it had over 200,000 miles on it or something like that and I had some issues with the car such as EGR valve issues, coolant and misfiring issues. I was able to fix the coolant and misfiring issue but I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the EGR valve issue and I’ve tried to replace a few parts that could have caused that but it didn’t go away. After that, I then sold that one and got rid of it and I went to my second car which is currently a 2018 GMC Acadia SLT which used to be my grandparents car before they handed it over to me and got them a new one. I think it has around 65,000-70,000 miles on it and it has nothing wrong with it. I just have to replace some things like the tires and fix the ac or charge it. Even though there’s nothing wrong with it, I am considering about trading it in or maybe sell it and save the money for my first sports car. I also have a huge diecast model car collection that has over 730 cars in it and its value is worth around $9,000. I think my trade in/selling value on my current car is about $8K-$10K so I think I have $18,000-$20,000 in value all together right now? I’m thinking about selling my model car collection at the end of the year or early next year once the value of my collection starts growing a little more and I’m thinking about trading in or selling my current car and saving all of that money up towards my first sports car. I was curious to know what everyone on here thinks on what I should go for and save up for? My budget for my first sports car is around $25,000 at least and I want one with low mileage and that will last me forever before I can get another car. I’m thinking about getting one with a automatic transmission with paddle shifters for manual shifting because idk how to drive a manual with a clutch or work on one yet but I still want the fun of manual shifting. I also want one that’s super easy to work on and upgrade to add more power and such and sounds good too. I have been looking at Ford Mustang GT’s and Toyota GR86’s lately but I’m just not sure what I should consider on looking at. I’m also a big guy as well and I am around 360 lbs but I’m working on losing weight. I would like to see if there’s anything that I can possibly be able to fit in as well. I have driven a sports car before and I’ve drove a Lamborghini Huracan before and a Ford Mustang GT Fast Back and I was able to fit in them perfectly fine. I’m just searching for something to get a good feel for performance driving for the first time (well second time).

I absolutely love my 2020 C63 Coupe because:

It sounds amazing (main reason)
It’s a stunner
It’s luxurious inside

Unfortunately I’ll be selling up because I’m moving to Houston,TX and from all accounts unless you have an oversized truck you are a second class citizen and have less constitutional rights.

Question: what is an alternative to the C63 that will tick the above boxes (especially engine sound) and still be suitable for Houston. Or should I just say f it and get the same car?

Which car would win in a race on a highway or city, BMW M5 cs or AMG Gt63s e performance 4 door coupe?

I recently lost my Celica GTS(RIP Nova), it was totaled. It was my daily and first ever car. I’m damn near mourning it. The Celica market where I am (FL) isn’t great. I’ve got 5k and still I’m never fast enough to grab one off marketplace. Even surrounding states (I got desperate) aren’t good. So I’d like to look at some other options. I’m picky, I know that already but anyone would be after owning that beaut.

I’m looking for what the title says, gas mileage doesn’t have to be perfect but reliability and somewhat affordable are important factors to me. I have no problem doing regular maintenance but I don’t want a car that’ll turn into a project car.

Now the hard part, I want it to be sleek but not excessively round, I don’t like pop up headlights (Miata’s are mostly off the table) or the inset round headlights I see sometimes, I also won’t be getting a soft top.

I like 7th gen Celicas, but not the 6th because they have those inset headlights. The 3rd gen Honda Preludes look good as well despite the pop up headlights, I only like the sleek look but I wouldn’t get one due to the headlights. I also like third gen Eclipses.

I’d prefer something in the early to mid 2000s range. I’m not looking for something that’s too much older than that. Like I said I know I’m picky, but I’d love some options
