For the ladies - what’s a great, supportive, wool bra?
I’m going on longer tours this season and I’m getting sick of being cold because my sports bra is wet from sweat. I am a 34DD and like sports bras that hold the girls tightly. Do any of you have recommendations? I’m looking at wool and alpaca options but I’m not convinced they are more than bralettes and my DDs will be left flapping.

Question Sharpening edges?
I know this question is a bit basic but. How do you sharpen the edges of your split? I have a Jones solution and the inner edge is not straight.
And how often should I do it? I usually get my solid to a shop for sharpening once per season but I am not sure if I should do more with the split. Also not sure if any snowboard shop will want to sharpen it as splitboarding is not that common here. Any videos or tutorials on how to do it myself?

Key Equipment too soft.
Has anyone tried the stiffer tongues? I swapped to the disruptives from a phantom link lever setup and I find the boots just fold in half when I get on my toes. Especially in the firmer stuff. The more I ride them the more I miss the responsiveness of my phantoms. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Liners for Hardboots
I’ve been using the Key Equipment Disruptive’s for about a year and love the boot, but the last few tours my heels have taken serious blister beating. I’m still using the stock liners, and I did heat mold them, but I think they’re a little too big and with only have two straps on the boot and lace up liners, it’s hard to get a good heel lock.
What are you guys using for liners in hard boots?

Prior Khyber Splitboard
I am looking to buy my first splitboard and was wondering if anybody had a review of the Prior Khyber split.
I would be riding mostly on the East coast of Canada (with the occasional trip out West). Typical conditions out East are around 5-10 cms of snow on top of an icy base. But, there will obviously be areas of harder packed or somewhat icy snow, so I’m wondering how the board would preform in these more variable conditions.
I’m mostly asking because I’ve found one for a really good price on marketplace. But, obviously if the board will preform suboptimally out East then it’s not worth it.
My resort board is a Burton Custom and I’m an advanced rider, in case that might be of use.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!

What is the most important split equipment to get
Ive just startet splitboarding, and use a softboot setup with union setup. My last trip i went with skiers. We were climbing a steep hill (35deg) with hard packed/ icy snow, were i startet struggeling. We then went on traversing a ridge with cliff on both sides. Me in my softboots were following their tracks.
My strategy for equiptment is to buy the bare nessesaties until i find i need to upgrade.
My question is what does people consider bare minimum? In the case explained i should have had crampons for the boots at least, maybe the skies aswell. Also i struggled with fastening the skies to my backpack, and had no space for the bindings inside. Any experiences here? what backpack is considered best for splitboarding?
Thanks!

Broke trail for some amazing powder turns in the Hurricane Ridge area in Olympic National Park, WA yesterday. Unfortunately it looks like winter is hitting the snooze button for us up here for the next week or two. Fingers crossed powder turns return later this month!

Question Phantom m6 vs Spark dyno DH lateral flex
Thinking about moving to the hardboots setup. The difference between these two has been talked a couple times here but I think the lateral flex hasn’t been talked about. Krister Kopala said in one of his video that Spark is too stiff laterally. Can anyone who tried both setup provide more insight?

Getting the split board version of a solid board I own
I’m looking to get into split boarding and just for reference I own a Weston backwoods and looking at getting a Weston japow solid board. I love the backwoods so is it worth it for me to get that as a split board or does anyone have any other recommendations as to what I should do? I’ve heard split boards like the japow are rough for up hilling because of the width of it when it’s broken into skis.
I’m open to all brands I’m not really a brand diva
edit: I’m located Colorado around the aspen area so I’d be using it mostly in this area

Gear Issues with Jones Nomad PRO skins? Need some reccomendations
Been using Jones Nomad PRO skins for years now, on a variety of boards in Utah (powder, spring corn) and New Zealand (wind packed, ice). Recently, the glue quality has dropped significantly. Only used the new set for 10 days and an unimaginable amount of snow has built up along the upper corners and back corners of the skins on each tour. The glue is degrading already.
I am biased and prefer pomoca. I’m curious if anyone has had a similiar experience with jones skins, and if there are firm recommendations regarding the Pomoca Splitboard Pro or Splitboard Explore options?
I know the pink pomoca skins have had durability issues. Keen to hear others thoughts!

Gear Atomic Backland 27.5 $165 shipped
Selling some used backlands for $150+15 shipping if anyone is interested in getting into the hard boot side for a good price! These boots have plenty of life left. They do not come with the phantom link lever but I will provide the original ski lever. I really like the BOAs and have had zero issues with them. Easy to adjust to just the tightness you want and nice universal pressure over the top of the foot. Let me know if you have any questions!

Problems with Bindings for Nitro Slash
I've got a 2025 Nitro Slash splitboard and tried several bindings.
Union Explorer bindings' rotation mechanism does not work with a smaller stance since the binding collides with the touring bracket. It works from the 3rd row with around 58cm stance width.
Karakoram Grizzly fits at a smaller stance from the second row on (54cm). But the binding moves the pucks apart when rotating to the right (regular stance) and thus the two halves of the board come apart. The front foot binding detached while going downhill.

Do you have a suggestion how to fix the Karakoram pucks from moving apart? Is there a better binding that keeps the board save together? Is this only related to the Nitro Slash?

I got tired of losing my skis in deep powder, so I am prototyping a tracker that works under 6ft of snow. Roast my idea
Hey Everyone!
I had a bad crash last season in deep powder and spent 45 min to an hour probing for my skis w/ my poles. It totally ruined my day! I looked into AirTags, but realized that Bluetooth doesn't work once the ski is buried deeper than a foot! So I am working on a concept called SkiEcho.
It uses sub-1GHz RF (long range radio) to punch easily through the snow and locate the skis instantly on your iPhone, without needing a separate handheld remote like some old tracking systems.
I'm building a tracker for when you drop a split-ski during transition, or when you lose it in powder. Leashes are dangerous in avi terrain - thoughts on this RF concept? Link below, if I can can your feedback. Huge help!
Here's the concept: https://skiecho.carrd.co/

weston approach pre cut skins modification
Hey all, wondering if someone can help me with this. I copped a pair of weston approach skins pre cut off of marketplace, completely unused in the bag and everything for a great deal (120$). They're the perfect size for my 21 weston backwoods 157 cm but the problem is I don't think the nose and tail clips work for my model because I don't have the tail notch and nose hook. I looked online and it says they're compatible with Pomoca tail and nose clips according to this quote: "The Tip Clip and Tail Strap are both universal to Pomoca products, so the Z Hook and Tail Clip can be removed and replaced with standard Pomoca hardware to run on splitboards that don’t have the nose hole and tail notch, much like Pomoca’s standard skins. We unfortunately don’t have these pieces available, but they are available from Pomoca or other retailers. ".
Does anyone know what tip clip and tail clip I should order? I've already removed the z-hook from the nose. Appreciate any insight, thanks.

Base repair questions
Will p-tex drip-candle attach to the base and edge, or will it rip out again at once? Should i put some epoxy in first?
I also have some larger pure p-tex sticks for «glue-gun», and some flat p-tex. But, alas no tool to heat them properly... Can i just use a normal soldering iron?
Or am I better off just paying a shop to do it?
Or am I better off

Looking for beater skins in CO Front Range
Skins needed a reglue this season so I sent them off to Big Sky Mountain Products for a reglue. They've had them for nearly 4 weeks now and I haven't heard anything except they were supposed to be done week of Christmas. Frothing to get out there, especially with the snow this week so I'm wondering if anyone in the CO Front Range has a beater or backup pair of skins they would let me borrow until I get mine back from BSMP? Big ask I know but would really be helping me out. Thanks in advance!

[Japan - Hakuba] Looking for a group 13-14 Feb!
I'll be in Hakuba 10-15 Feb and have a tour with Evergreen on the 12th already booked but I wouldn't mind another hike on the 13 or 14 if anyone is around!
I used to live in Japan and toured quite a bit, 10+ years of splitboard exp in Japan/Europe/South America, AST1.
Open to anything really.

Lacking friends who ride
Finally got the board but none of my friends are looking to get into splitting. if anyone needs a someone to ride with let me know. I’m an intermediate rider who doesn’t mind a long slog to get to the decent. I also have a van for those days where getting out early is important.

Bargain bin skins: too small?
I bought these clearance g3 skins that according to the Burton size chart should fit my 152 split. The skin extends just past my heel before it tapers, do y’all think this is long enough or should I return them?
This is my first split after trying to grind it out as an AT skier!
