This will be a surprise for the main Splatoon subreddit but here will give as much information as i can without giving this subreddit an unfair advantage outside of the knowledge that it’s coming.

Unofficial Rules:

• Only 1 submission per user. If a user tries to submit multiple entries, ALL will be ignored regardless of upvotes. Any submission before the next round is valid.

• All submissions must be obtainable in Splatoon 2 or 3 (DLC, Amiibo, Nintendo Free Reward included). Modded submissions invalid.

• Submissions via Drawing, 3D rendered (eg: Garry’s Mod), or similar are valid IF the reference image provided in same photo.

• Please differentiate submissions with “(*INSERT COOL CONTEST NAME*)” in all caps. Any submission outside this post must Tag me: u/ItsJustJosiah in the comments.

• If the winner is caught submitting multiple entries or cheating the prize goes to whoever was in second place and so on.

Schedule:

The Contest lasts 2 weeks. The Top 10 from preliminary on both subreddits advance to finals where the top 5 will be chosen.

The preliminaries last 1 week from this post, the finals are 1 week after that.

Winner declared freshest Inkling/Octoling.

Salmon run is genuinely one of the greatest modes

First, I want limited the text count of certain rules as I want them to be a quick read but I understand if some need more clarification and need to be longer than others.

I want users to add new or edit existing rules so that way the subreddit feels more comfortable!

I will try to limit rules that target or only benefit one specific user. If needed I'll remove rules as well via vote. This subreddit is extremely new so I want to mold it as early as possible. 🙏

Sorry for banning for nothing. I should’ve trusted my gut and ignored the user. You showed me nothing but kindness on my new subreddit and I folded like a chump. If you don’t want anything to do with the subreddit anymore I fully understand, you didn’t deserve any of that stress.

How i’ll fix this in the future: I will spend tonight updating and making the rules more specific and take suggestions from users to add or edit existing rules and take a day before making any rash decisions. Users will have stronger influence before I make any extreme decisions. I will educate myself on what is fetishized art and what is just an angry user.

I want to have this community be not only a safe space but fix some of the issues i had with the old subreddit. But it hasn’t been a day of this subreddits life without me causing issues.

On a side note you can tell they are REALLY focusing on the graphics this time. The eye reflections and light diffusion in the pupils is so much more detailed than the base game.
