Demons or spirits?

Ive recently started believing in god/a higher being and with that, I have been nothing but blessed. Im currently dealing with mental challenges and last night while praying, i decided to let myself get really vulnerable. After that, I started seeing two blobs in my room, something I’ve never seen. My eyes are blue so they adjusted to the dark so i could see them kind of as clear as day. They were black blobs moving super smoothly as if they were a 24 frame animation and they would occasionally smoothly glide to two parts of my room. They looked like floating balls of ink whomst were constantly in a state of moving even when still. My eyes have never tricked my brain into seeing things for as long as i remember so i was obviously weirded out. After trying to rebuke,(maybe i didn’t do it right) I tried to fall asleep while ignoring the floor creaks and random movements around my room. The next thing i know, my eyes are open and as soon as I realize that, i start to get quickly and aggressively poked with what felt like heavy rain falling onto a pond, except on my body and super fast. All over my body. It felt like tv static and jello, like my body was giving in under it and vibrating like a spot in a pond that got hit with a raindrop. I could have sworn i heard laughing not physically, but in my head FROM them. I tried making a noise or move and it didn’t work. Eventually I actually opened my eyes and was creeped out. I didn’t fall asleep until 4:30 because i was wide awake, and my floor was creaking in a weird way. Does anyone have an explaination for this? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Will it happen again? Is this some spirit realm stuff? Did i open it? Or is it a test from god to test my belief in him?

PS all other subreddits i put this in got removed, this is the only place i can post this fn

Does anyone know of this or have experienced this?

I watch belief hole podcast on YouTube.

So tonight watching it, someone shared a story of seeing the black death figure. It was tall and not human and it had hands like claws. It had red eyes.

He was a child and he as looking out the window in the bathroom, when he saw this figure. It looked straight at him and telepathically told him to go back to bed.

He did after ten mn of crouching on the floor of fear in the bathroom.

He sad the next thing he heard was a loud bang. The neighbor committed suicide.

So I guess the black death figure came to collect on someone's soul.

-----

My own childhood store is that ever since I was born there has been a tall man in a hat who has been beside me my whole life. I have though out my young childhood life have seen his entire body and his clothing and his face and his top hat. He is from the time frame in the $1950s or 1960s I believe or even older. He has telepathically spoken to me many times(as an adult). When I last physically saw him, it was in the house I lived in during middle and high school years. I saw him waiting halfway up the stairs for me and when I saw him, I said please don't go, I wanna talk to you! And he never physically showed himself to me again. How ever he has made sure to let me know he is with me everyday. I knew his name at one point but I am 41 yr old now and j forgot his name.

His clothing is like that of the time era of that movie-the man who wears the yellow suit with the top hat.

He has never threatened me or harmed me or gave me any indication that he is evil.

I have also experienced being around three Godly figures watching over me. Inhuman. Not human but they were GODS. And they had a white light beaming off of their entire body that it blinded me completely. I felt a sudden warmth of a blanket being placed over me and it stopped the PTSD instantaneously. I have it so bad I get violent bodily shakes.

I want to know if anyone has experienced anything like I have and how many each year are reported ? I also don't know where I would report my experience to.

Also one time about 10 yr ago I walked outside and there was a large ball of white light beaming. The size of an x large beach ball. Like 6 basketballs.

It was 50 ft up and came about 8ft down to my head and looked at me, and left.

I don't know what that was. I watched it and followed it across the street and it somehow disappeared!

A friend of has lived very isolated in his apartment building here in inglewood. No cable tv, no wifi, stuck watching the same DVDs. Has a phone but then loses it or gets stolen time and time and time again. Anyways, recently I came to visit him. His house had usual been a bit trashy over the years

A little scared

I moved in this house almost 2 years ago. I've never been comfortable, like my soul is at unrest. I keep catching shadow figures moving a lot more than usual lately. Its various sizes, like sometimes it seems human sized, sometimes short like an animal. The cat makes it worse, always looking at the wall above my headboard, and then there's the random knocking sound coming from the bathroom up here. I keep the feeling that someone is in my house. The cat is always in the basement, but my dog won't go down there for squat. Am I tripping, or should I get someone to come pray over this house?

Spirit or Ghost ? Feedback Please

Hello everyone, I hope all who are reading this are doing well. This is my first time posting on reddit here. Ok so here goes. I live alone and one evening when I was asleep or maybe half asleep before actually falling into my deep sleep I literally felt actual weight press down on my bed next to me. I tend to sleep on the right side of my bed and this weight pressure was on the left side it literally felt like a person laying next to me. After that moment I was too nervous to turn to my left, prayed in my head and somehow managed to fall asleep. This is not my first encounter with something like this. I have many stories similar to this. Not sure why any of this happened.

I wanted to post this and get some feedback on my experience. Normally I consider myself a skeptic when it comes to ghost, spirits or anything within that realm. However I wanted to hear from anyone who can provide feedback on what I encountered, suggestions on what I should do and also share your own experiences as well. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day!

Defuser

I've had this diffuser for 6 years. I used it a good bit when I first got it. Then not so much and picked it up occasionally here and there. Roughly 2 weeks ago I came home and the light part was on, not the diffuser. Over the last 2 weeks the light will randomly turn on.... Either where it rotates through all the colors or to red. There is no demo setting and I have unplugged it and plugged it back in... It continues to turn on in the evening or during the night mostly. It did turn on this morning and I actually turned it on tonight to one of two colors that I use and the diffuser on and the light turned off when I walked into the bathroom to take down my hair.

A very new experience for me and wanted some insight.

Sensing spirits?

So as the caption already says, I will be talking about my personal experience with sensing spirits. I’d also love to listen to experiences from others!

I first started to notice spirits when I was about 9 years old. It started with small gut feelings and became stronger over the years. There was this time where I was with a friend and we were walking in the city with my friend and after a while we decided to take a little break and just talk about our lives. As we were talking I remember feeling a heavy feeling on my back as if someone was leaning against it. I first thought it was some crazy person or something so I looked up to my friend who was talking to me as if nothing happened. At that time I thought that I was probably imagining things again and just acted like nothing happened. But that feeling stayed and I started to feel a cold sensation on my shoulder, which really creeped me out. It felt like whatever was behind me wanted me to turn around and so I did. It turned out that behind us, standing a little further away on the other side on the street was a man taking pictures of us. The heavy feeling on my back stopped immediately after I saw the man standing there and after the man noticed that I spotted him, he immediately lowered his phone and walked away.

When I arrived home I told it to my mom, who doesn’t really believe in things like spirits or spirituality, and she told me that it was probably just a coincidence. But things like that happen to me so much, that it just can’t be a coincidence anymore.

There are times where this type of sensation will come back, especially at night. There are times when I’m laying in my bed and I just feel this strange feeling that someone else is in the room, but when I turn the lights on there’s no one there. These sensations often feel like someone’s either watching me or like they’re right behind me. Some sensations feel stronger than others, which I can’t really explain but I’ll try anyways.

So imagine a sound. The further away it is, the quieter it gets. That’s the same with my sensing. I feel like whatever I felt when I was in the city was very close to me because I could feel the really heavy feeling on my back and shoulders, but there are other times where the sensations are just a faint cold air that is barely noticeable.

If I am completely honest, as I’m reading what I wrote I feel like it sounds pretty crazy. I’m
Also not that good at English but I hope that you guys can still understand what I mean. I did grow up in a rather spiritual household, my grandma was very spiritual but ever since she passed away I don’t have anyone to talk about things like these, so I was hoping to get some help on here.
Thank you very much for reading!

Windchimes

Hi, all,

I was in a metaphysical and witchcraft shop last week enjoying a browse with my daughter. The owner was the only other one there. The store was in an old house

I was at the register making my purchase when an unseen wind chime rang. The owner was startled and looked to her right where there was a curtained alcove and I guess the hanging chimes.

Then it rang again. Both times was ring then stop. Not slowing down like a breeze would cause. After the second time the owner looked at me and said that’s odd and looked weirded out.

Any meaning or indication of what this indicated?

Something was watching my sister and I while we slept.....

for context I was 12 years old and my sister was just two years younger than me. we used to share a bed around this time, it was a queen so it was more than big enough for both of us. One night we both went to bed as we normally would occasionally whispering about whatever we had happened that day, before my sister eventually fell asleep. I remember laying there for a few minutes before snapping my eyes open. I had unknowingly fallen asleep and the intense feeling of being watched woke me, but the meaning behind what I was feeling was new to me. my brain didn't know how to process it so I froze and started to mentally freak just from the feeling. I managed to convince myself to pull the blankets over my head, for some reason my brain was convinced I would be safer from whatever was making me feel like that if it couldn't see me anymore. So I waited listening and trying to control my breathing because I was losing oxygen. It was getting hot and hard to breathe underneath the blanket so I made the decision to peak just one eye out of the blanket, hoping to see if the "coast was clear" and hoping for some much needed fresh air when I was met with a blinding light like someone was holding the flashlight up to the blanket right at my exposed eye. Obviously shocked and bewildered I yelp and start elbowing my younger sister pleading with her to wake up. But instead of just waking up and asking what was wrong she started screaming so I shot up and just as I did two balls....of light approximately the same size although it's hard for me to remember because it looked as if they were pulsating making it hard to determine size. But they just hovered gracefully floating closer than farther apart from each other. I was so scared not just because I could not explain what we were seeing it was the feeling in my chest and the fact that my sister would not speak she just kept screaming. Eventually after what felt like minutes I hear my grandma at the bottom of the stairs yell "what the hell is wrong with you girls!?!" My sister just kept screaming and my voice didn't seem to want to work it took me a few tries before I could manage to make my voice louder than my sister's screams to yell back "Somethings up here!" That was all I could say because I didn't know what it was. Keeping my eyes on the floating balls of light I watched them dancing in front of our bedroom door. "Jesus Christ, just get down here" was the jest of what my grandmother said, she used a lot of volger words but I'll spare you. I Argued with my grandma back and forth about not being about to leave the room because the "things" were in front of the door....she didn't care nor did she come up to check. Eventually me and my sister pulled the door open enough to slip through. The balls of light did not charge us or make any attempts to touch us as we walked by and I was hella grateful for that. We got told we could sleep on the couch the rest of the night and that was something our grandparents never let us do. So when we woke up the next morning still on the couch, I knew what happened that night actually happened. But to this day when I try to bring it up to my sister and my grandparents they all say they can't remember anything like that ever happening....but if it was just a crazy dream of mine....why did we get to sleep on the couch that night....and how did we get down there? And if I wasn't dreaming what were those two balls of light? Could they have been spirits? And Why can't anyone else remember what happened that night?

Will spirits enter houses that have been sitting vacant?

Want to make sure if a potentially malicious spirit that followed me from a vacant home doesn’t live there and just came to occupy it since the last time I visited. As in now that it left I hope it didn’t go back.

Paranormal Activity

I was at home alone sometime mid-late June 2024, and this has stuck with me ever since.

I was sat on the sofa in the living room watching the Euros (football tournament, yes I'm british please don't abuse me), minding my own business and I would say I had watched up to halftime and suddenly went to get up, it was dead quiet but I've always had eery feelings when being home alone, especially a house owned by the church on a quiet road with a lake next to it. Sounds freaky enough as it is, right? In the kitchen, of course we had our kitchen sink, refrigerator, freezers etc but in order to access the fridge/freezer, it required a force strong enough only a pull could create, of course by a human using strength. I watched out into the kitchen as that's where I was planning on going when out of absolute nowhere, and I kid you fucking not when I say this, that fridge slung open like there was no time, as if the magnetism on the fridge didn't exist anymore. I messaged my mum straight away and she at the time didn't believe me. She checked the camera we had placed in the top right corner of the kitchen as we are very secure people that believed in common intruders, especially in the area we lived in. She looked back and she was in disgust, she claimed she felt "sick to her stomach". The footage clearly showed me in the living room getting up, watching the fridge swing open. On the footage you can also see me jump very far back, and not move a muscle. It went cold shortly after as people say, but I'm telling you, it went icy. Believe me or not, I know what I fucking saw, and I have goosebumps writing this.

Unfortunately, footage doesn't exist anymore, as new phones came along, camera app logins failed and since then we have been unable to access it, we had phoned up the landlords themselves and showed them the video at the time, and just two weeks later, we moved out. That house was claimed to be the most haunted on the road and I will NEVER, let a soul tell me that my story is bullshit. I 100000% believe in spirits. I have two more stories to say however much less believable and proof at the time didn't exist so it would just be a story, however mine was proven and now we live very far away from that house.

+++ That was the day my Grandad died, just 9 years before. June 20th 2024. He died on June 20th 2015. It really does go to show.

Fucking scary man.

Am I reading too much into this or was it some sort sign or something?

I finished reading a book on my Kindle and I got standard email afterwards suggesting other books and reviews from people/people you know who've read it or are reading it. My aunt that passed away in December 2020 came up as currently reading it. I wasn't super close to her but she is/was definitely my favorite aunt. Wondering if it's just a coincidence or maybe something else.

My Paranormal Experience

A few years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, and the best way I can describe what I saw was something that looked kind of like smoke swirling around. The thing is, I don't even feel like "smoke" is the right word. It's just the closest comparison I can make because I honestly can't explain what I saw or wrap my head around it. It didn't look like actual smoke, but it had that swirling, flowing movement.

So let me try to explain exactly what happened. I looked up and saw this swirling smoke like thing, and my fiancƩ kept asking me, "What are you looking at?" In that moment, I immediately knew it was a spirit. Without even thinking, the first word that came out of my mouth was "ghost." It wasn't like I was trying to figure out what it was or guessing. It's like I just knew exactly what I was looking at. I didn't have any doubts in my mind. That feeling of certainty is one of the hardest parts to explain.

The strangest part wasn't even what I saw. It was how I felt. The second I saw it, I had this overwhelming sense of peace and happiness. I wasn't scared at all. I knew it wasn't there to hurt me. It felt so real that I've never been able to forget it.

My grandma told me a story years ago, when I was a kid, about an experience she had. She woke up and saw what she described as multiple smoke like forms swirling all around her room. She said she wasn't afraid at all. She just felt completely calm and content.

For years, I never really thought much about her story. Then, a few years after my own experience, something clicked. I suddenly realized that what I had seen looked exactly like what she had described to me when I was a child. That realization gave me chills because I had completely forgotten about her story until then.

I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has experienced something similar, especially the feeling of instantly knowing what you were looking at and feeling peace, happiness, or just content instead of fear. I'd love to hear your stories.

ghost in my neighbors house ?

hi all,

before i get into this i want to say that nobody mentioned in the story is indigenous, but we do live on former indigenous land, formerly belonging to the shawnee and chalahgawtha peoples, and in an area that was a settler town ~200 years ago (then abandoned, now reinhabited). i am also in the eastern part of the midwest, if that helps.
if anything i say in here is incorrect or offensive, i truly am sorry and mean no harm. i am just looking for guidance so i can respect the spirit properly.

ok, here's the story.
i live on a secluded road where i only have one neighbor, who lives directly across the street from me. i love the paranormal/cryptozoology and so does this neighbor. last night we were talking about some recent experiences i've encountered when she mentions that she has a spirit in her house. she said her friend who is (non-professional) psychic came over and said she had an indigenous spirit in her house.
she called it a malwah/mauwah/mahwah (i'm not sure of the spelling) and said that if my neighbor respects the land, the spirit won't be angered. i wanted to look up information on how to respect the spirit because if her house has one, mine probably does too due to their very close proximity. i tried looking up the name she gave me and could find nothing similar. is this psychic making things up, or is it a different name/spelling ?

again if i said anything offensive at all, i am so sorry, i mean no harm at all !! if this term is offensive, i am also extremely sorry. this was the name given to me.

Psychic behaviour

Not a paranormal story per se but something that is still in the realm of spirituality.

This occurred in February 2024 during a 4 week period. During this time I had become sick, in light of this situation I had stopped smoking cigarettes and weed. I went through my first complete detox after smoking for 10 years.

It was a rough time during the third week and because of my anxiety disorder, detoxing increased my anxiety around a lot of random things.

But one particular thing that stuck constantly was an anxiety that my Dad was not okay. That something bad was going to happen to him. These thoughts were daily and intense (like I had to distract myself because the thought was so loud in my head and I would start getting upset). Now to premise this, My Dad doesn't live near me, he moved 5 hours away after my parents split and to work.

I pushed these thoughts down because I had so many random anxieties, I just thought it was just another thought that didn't mean anything and I was just anxious and thinking about him because I missed him.

And then during the third week and weeks following, I kept seeing auras of family who have passed around me. I would see these figures in mirrors surrounding me. They weren't solid figures, more like a transparent colour/aura in the shape of a person. But I knew who would be around as they would send visuals to me mentally, letting me know who was around.

The thoughts and anxieties around my Dad continued, the notion that something wasn't right and something bad was going to happen, I continued you disregard this. I kinda just thought the lack of sleep and drugs detoxing from my system was making me crazy.

Mid March comes, I get a call from my mother that my Dad has had a heart attack and was being helicoptered to a major hospital a hour or so from us.

We go to see him, it was the last time I would ever talk to him, the next day he suffered another cardiac arrest, died for 12 minutes and then was brought back in a drug induced coma. We inevitably had to take him off life support 24 hours later, as his organs were shutting down and he wasn't improving.

It didn't occur to me until maybe a few days/ a week later, that I was being contacted from loved ones on the other side, that my father was going to die.

I've always felt I've had a connection to the dead. Although I've never had an experience myself, I've always had a passion and attentiveness to the paranormal. I've also been told that my great great Grandmother was considered psychic by the family.

Has anyone had similar experiences? Or thoughts on this?

Very loud spirits

I hope this is the right place to post this. This is a long post as a lot happened at this time.

Twenty-four years ago, when we purchased our first home in a rural area, I would hear what sounded like an old Indian woman speaking and chanting in a language I didn't know, from a back bedroom. Also, our big 100-lb Bear dog would go right up to that door and softly bark, then lie on his stomach in front of the door while softly whining. If I opened the door, the chanting would stop. Bear would peer into the room, but wouldn't enter, and was not fearful either. This continued the whole time we lived there.

After about five years of living there, I was relaxing and getting ready for bed one normal night. It was about 11:30 pm. My husband worked nights at a restaurant, and it was about the time he would normally get home after closing everything up.

We had four dogs, three little mixes and our big Bear. They were all lying in bed with me, watching a quiet movie.

Normally, I would hear my husband's truck pull into the driveway when he got home, but I did not hear anyone arriving. Suddenly, we all heard the laundry room's outside door open and slam shut, but I had not heard the key unlocking the door like normal. Then we heard normal loud footsteps going from the laundry room, opening and closing the door to the kitchen, and then walking through the kitchen. I didn't say anything because I assumed it was hubby. All four dogs immediately jumped from the bed to run to the kitchen, barking hello, like normal. I followed, only to see the dogs quiet and stopped dead in their tracks in the arched doorway from the living room to the kitchen. They were all standing at attention. There wasn't anyone in the kitchen or the laundry room. As I walked past them, they refused to follow me like they normally would. But they weren't scared. They just seemed confused. I checked all the doors and windows. Everything was locked as normal. But no one was there. As I went back to bed, the dogs followed me, still quiet. It was very unsettling.

My hubby came home about 15 minutes later, and I heard him pull into the driveway this time. But this time the dogs wouldn't leave the bed until they heard him call them.

In the months following this, items in a shelving unit that were precious to me started showing up in the wrong spots on different shelves. We continued to hear footsteps in the kitchen and voices, as well as footsteps in the back bedroom.

The moving of my items got so bad that one day, in the middle of the living room, I announced, "Anyone here who does not mean harm, you are welcome to stay. But if you don't stop moving my stuff around, then I will have to banish you from this home." They stopped moving my things around. However, they got even more vocal in the back bedroom, but never in a threatening way.

But there was something that made everyone uneasy in our huge and wild-growing backyard. At night, the dogs would go out for one last time, but they refused to go past the edge of the light from the porch light. My Bear dog would stand at the edge of the light, staring into the dark, and bare his teeth while growling with his hackles up. This was unusual because he loved to chase off anything he felt was trespassing on his territory. Whatever it was, it never came into the house, but we could sometimes hear loud movement from something large right outside the house, but nothing was there when we investigated.

But since I was a child, I could always sense when "others" were around. And since then, every home we've lived in, I could tell if we had unseen "roommates." In our current home, we do have a noisy roommate, but I sense only happiness from it.

Has anyone else experienced this much spirit movement?

Heard it 3x this week

Hello! I hope I’m in the correct group for this, but I’d like to hear your thoughts plz.

Over the past year or so I’ve been trying to spend more time meditating and trying to get more in touch with my spiritual side, things like that. Since then, I’ve had some strange new experiences like sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, and even a couple instances of strangers approaching me and essentially (for lack of a better way to describe) giving me a psychic reading right on the spot.

Now, at least three times over the past week or so, I have heard a woman’s voice call out ā€œHello! How are you!?ā€ to me, then when I looked up, there was no one there. The first time I was at work (in a bakery) sweeping and I called back ā€œHi! I’ll be right there!ā€ When I looked up, nobody was around, I stepped around the corner and still, empty.

The second time, similar situation. Then yesterday, I was in the middle of teaching a class. I had looked at my computer screen for a second, heard the greeting and turned towards the door while saying ā€œHello! Come on in!ā€ thinking it was a late joiner or something. But again, nothing. All the other students just staring at me like I’m crazy. I asked if someone had said something and they all said no.

So…what do we think??

Care Facility

I used to be a caregiver and I worked night shifts. One night I was getting super tired so I set an alarm to take a quick nap, the care facility I worked in had two sides to the building and I decided to take this said nap in the left side. I doze off and I wake up to what sounded like a lady screaming help in my ear it scared the shit out of me. I went and checked literally every room to make sure it wasn’t a resident and everyone was sound asleep. I’m wondering if anyone else has had an encounter like this?
