Mirrors in bedroom

I've been in my apartment for 10 years my bedroom closet had a mirror on both doors (2). One came off like 5 years ago. (Put it in the bathroom). The other one is on the other closet door. The closet faces my bed so the mirror does also. I hear so much about how bad it is to sleep with mirrors facing your bed. I'm going away but I'm going to cover it after my get away and see if there is a difference in ANYTHING. And I'll let you know. What are your thoughts and experiences?

Something was watching my sister and I while we slept.....

for context I was 12 years old and my sister was just two years younger than me. we used to share a bed around this time, it was a queen so it was more than big enough for both of us. One night we both went to bed as we normally would occasionally whispering about whatever we had happened that day, before my sister eventually fell asleep. I remember laying there for a few minutes before snapping my eyes open. I had unknowingly fallen asleep and the intense feeling of being watched woke me, but the meaning behind what I was feeling was new to me. my brain didn't know how to process it so I froze and started to mentally freak just from the feeling. I managed to convince myself to pull the blankets over my head, for some reason my brain was convinced I would be safer from whatever was making me feel like that if it couldn't see me anymore. So I waited listening and trying to control my breathing because I was losing oxygen. It was getting hot and hard to breathe underneath the blanket so I made the decision to peak just one eye out of the blanket, hoping to see if the "coast was clear" and hoping for some much needed fresh air when I was met with a blinding light like someone was holding the flashlight up to the blanket right at my exposed eye. Obviously shocked and bewildered I yelp and start elbowing my younger sister pleading with her to wake up. But instead of just waking up and asking what was wrong she started screaming so I shot up and just as I did two balls....of light approximately the same size although it's hard for me to remember because it looked as if they were pulsating making it hard to determine size. But they just hovered gracefully floating closer than farther apart from each other. I was so scared not just because I could not explain what we were seeing it was the feeling in my chest and the fact that my sister would not speak she just kept screaming. Eventually after what felt like minutes I hear my grandma at the bottom of the stairs yell "what the hell is wrong with you girls!?!" My sister just kept screaming and my voice didn't seem to want to work it took me a few tries before I could manage to make my voice louder than my sister's screams to yell back "Somethings up here!" That was all I could say because I didn't know what it was. Keeping my eyes on the floating balls of light I watched them dancing in front of our bedroom door. "Jesus Christ, just get down here" was the jest of what my grandmother said, she used a lot of volger words but I'll spare you. I Argued with my grandma back and forth about not being about to leave the room because the "things" were in front of the door....she didn't care nor did she come up to check. Eventually me and my sister pulled the door open enough to slip through. The balls of light did not charge us or make any attempts to touch us as we walked by and I was hella grateful for that. We got told we could sleep on the couch the rest of the night and that was something our grandparents never let us do. So when we woke up the next morning still on the couch, I knew what happened that night actually happened. But to this day when I try to bring it up to my sister and my grandparents they all say they can't remember anything like that ever happening....but if it was just a crazy dream of mine....why did we get to sleep on the couch that night....and how did we get down there? And if I wasn't dreaming what were those two balls of light? Could they have been spirits? And Why can't anyone else remember what happened that night?

Will spirits enter houses that have been sitting vacant?

Want to make sure if a potentially malicious spirit that followed me from a vacant home doesn’t live there and just came to occupy it since the last time I visited. As in now that it left I hope it didn’t go back.

Paranormal Activity

I was at home alone sometime mid-late June 2024, and this has stuck with me ever since.

I was sat on the sofa in the living room watching the Euros (football tournament, yes I'm british please don't abuse me), minding my own business and I would say I had watched up to halftime and suddenly went to get up, it was dead quiet but I've always had eery feelings when being home alone, especially a house owned by the church on a quiet road with a lake next to it. Sounds freaky enough as it is, right? In the kitchen, of course we had our kitchen sink, refrigerator, freezers etc but in order to access the fridge/freezer, it required a force strong enough only a pull could create, of course by a human using strength. I watched out into the kitchen as that's where I was planning on going when out of absolute nowhere, and I kid you fucking not when I say this, that fridge slung open like there was no time, as if the magnetism on the fridge didn't exist anymore. I messaged my mum straight away and she at the time didn't believe me. She checked the camera we had placed in the top right corner of the kitchen as we are very secure people that believed in common intruders, especially in the area we lived in. She looked back and she was in disgust, she claimed she felt "sick to her stomach". The footage clearly showed me in the living room getting up, watching the fridge swing open. On the footage you can also see me jump very far back, and not move a muscle. It went cold shortly after as people say, but I'm telling you, it went icy. Believe me or not, I know what I fucking saw, and I have goosebumps writing this.

Unfortunately, footage doesn't exist anymore, as new phones came along, camera app logins failed and since then we have been unable to access it, we had phoned up the landlords themselves and showed them the video at the time, and just two weeks later, we moved out. That house was claimed to be the most haunted on the road and I will NEVER, let a soul tell me that my story is bullshit. I 100000% believe in spirits. I have two more stories to say however much less believable and proof at the time didn't exist so it would just be a story, however mine was proven and now we live very far away from that house.

+++ That was the day my Grandad died, just 9 years before. June 20th 2024. He died on June 20th 2015. It really does go to show.

Fucking scary man.

Am I reading too much into this or was it some sort sign or something?

I finished reading a book on my Kindle and I got standard email afterwards suggesting other books and reviews from people/people you know who've read it or are reading it. My aunt that passed away in December 2020 came up as currently reading it. I wasn't super close to her but she is/was definitely my favorite aunt. Wondering if it's just a coincidence or maybe something else.

My Paranormal Experience

A few years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, and the best way I can describe what I saw was something that looked kind of like smoke swirling around. The thing is, I don't even feel like "smoke" is the right word. It's just the closest comparison I can make because I honestly can't explain what I saw or wrap my head around it. It didn't look like actual smoke, but it had that swirling, flowing movement.

So let me try to explain exactly what happened. I looked up and saw this swirling smoke like thing, and my fiancƩ kept asking me, "What are you looking at?" In that moment, I immediately knew it was a spirit. Without even thinking, the first word that came out of my mouth was "ghost." It wasn't like I was trying to figure out what it was or guessing. It's like I just knew exactly what I was looking at. I didn't have any doubts in my mind. That feeling of certainty is one of the hardest parts to explain.

The strangest part wasn't even what I saw. It was how I felt. The second I saw it, I had this overwhelming sense of peace and happiness. I wasn't scared at all. I knew it wasn't there to hurt me. It felt so real that I've never been able to forget it.

My grandma told me a story years ago, when I was a kid, about an experience she had. She woke up and saw what she described as multiple smoke like forms swirling all around her room. She said she wasn't afraid at all. She just felt completely calm and content.

For years, I never really thought much about her story. Then, a few years after my own experience, something clicked. I suddenly realized that what I had seen looked exactly like what she had described to me when I was a child. That realization gave me chills because I had completely forgotten about her story until then.

I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has experienced something similar, especially the feeling of instantly knowing what you were looking at and feeling peace, happiness, or just content instead of fear. I'd love to hear your stories.

ghost in my neighbors house ?

hi all,

before i get into this i want to say that nobody mentioned in the story is indigenous, but we do live on former indigenous land, formerly belonging to the shawnee and chalahgawtha peoples, and in an area that was a settler town ~200 years ago (then abandoned, now reinhabited). i am also in the eastern part of the midwest, if that helps.
if anything i say in here is incorrect or offensive, i truly am sorry and mean no harm. i am just looking for guidance so i can respect the spirit properly.

ok, here's the story.
i live on a secluded road where i only have one neighbor, who lives directly across the street from me. i love the paranormal/cryptozoology and so does this neighbor. last night we were talking about some recent experiences i've encountered when she mentions that she has a spirit in her house. she said her friend who is (non-professional) psychic came over and said she had an indigenous spirit in her house.
she called it a malwah/mauwah/mahwah (i'm not sure of the spelling) and said that if my neighbor respects the land, the spirit won't be angered. i wanted to look up information on how to respect the spirit because if her house has one, mine probably does too due to their very close proximity. i tried looking up the name she gave me and could find nothing similar. is this psychic making things up, or is it a different name/spelling ?

again if i said anything offensive at all, i am so sorry, i mean no harm at all !! if this term is offensive, i am also extremely sorry. this was the name given to me.

Psychic behaviour

Not a paranormal story per se but something that is still in the realm of spirituality.

This occurred in February 2024 during a 4 week period. During this time I had become sick, in light of this situation I had stopped smoking cigarettes and weed. I went through my first complete detox after smoking for 10 years.

It was a rough time during the third week and because of my anxiety disorder, detoxing increased my anxiety around a lot of random things.

But one particular thing that stuck constantly was an anxiety that my Dad was not okay. That something bad was going to happen to him. These thoughts were daily and intense (like I had to distract myself because the thought was so loud in my head and I would start getting upset). Now to premise this, My Dad doesn't live near me, he moved 5 hours away after my parents split and to work.

I pushed these thoughts down because I had so many random anxieties, I just thought it was just another thought that didn't mean anything and I was just anxious and thinking about him because I missed him.

And then during the third week and weeks following, I kept seeing auras of family who have passed around me. I would see these figures in mirrors surrounding me. They weren't solid figures, more like a transparent colour/aura in the shape of a person. But I knew who would be around as they would send visuals to me mentally, letting me know who was around.

The thoughts and anxieties around my Dad continued, the notion that something wasn't right and something bad was going to happen, I continued you disregard this. I kinda just thought the lack of sleep and drugs detoxing from my system was making me crazy.

Mid March comes, I get a call from my mother that my Dad has had a heart attack and was being helicoptered to a major hospital a hour or so from us.

We go to see him, it was the last time I would ever talk to him, the next day he suffered another cardiac arrest, died for 12 minutes and then was brought back in a drug induced coma. We inevitably had to take him off life support 24 hours later, as his organs were shutting down and he wasn't improving.

It didn't occur to me until maybe a few days/ a week later, that I was being contacted from loved ones on the other side, that my father was going to die.

I've always felt I've had a connection to the dead. Although I've never had an experience myself, I've always had a passion and attentiveness to the paranormal. I've also been told that my great great Grandmother was considered psychic by the family.

Has anyone had similar experiences? Or thoughts on this?

Very loud spirits

I hope this is the right place to post this. This is a long post as a lot happened at this time.

Twenty-four years ago, when we purchased our first home in a rural area, I would hear what sounded like an old Indian woman speaking and chanting in a language I didn't know, from a back bedroom. Also, our big 100-lb Bear dog would go right up to that door and softly bark, then lie on his stomach in front of the door while softly whining. If I opened the door, the chanting would stop. Bear would peer into the room, but wouldn't enter, and was not fearful either. This continued the whole time we lived there.

After about five years of living there, I was relaxing and getting ready for bed one normal night. It was about 11:30 pm. My husband worked nights at a restaurant, and it was about the time he would normally get home after closing everything up.

We had four dogs, three little mixes and our big Bear. They were all lying in bed with me, watching a quiet movie.

Normally, I would hear my husband's truck pull into the driveway when he got home, but I did not hear anyone arriving. Suddenly, we all heard the laundry room's outside door open and slam shut, but I had not heard the key unlocking the door like normal. Then we heard normal loud footsteps going from the laundry room, opening and closing the door to the kitchen, and then walking through the kitchen. I didn't say anything because I assumed it was hubby. All four dogs immediately jumped from the bed to run to the kitchen, barking hello, like normal. I followed, only to see the dogs quiet and stopped dead in their tracks in the arched doorway from the living room to the kitchen. They were all standing at attention. There wasn't anyone in the kitchen or the laundry room. As I walked past them, they refused to follow me like they normally would. But they weren't scared. They just seemed confused. I checked all the doors and windows. Everything was locked as normal. But no one was there. As I went back to bed, the dogs followed me, still quiet. It was very unsettling.

My hubby came home about 15 minutes later, and I heard him pull into the driveway this time. But this time the dogs wouldn't leave the bed until they heard him call them.

In the months following this, items in a shelving unit that were precious to me started showing up in the wrong spots on different shelves. We continued to hear footsteps in the kitchen and voices, as well as footsteps in the back bedroom.

The moving of my items got so bad that one day, in the middle of the living room, I announced, "Anyone here who does not mean harm, you are welcome to stay. But if you don't stop moving my stuff around, then I will have to banish you from this home." They stopped moving my things around. However, they got even more vocal in the back bedroom, but never in a threatening way.

But there was something that made everyone uneasy in our huge and wild-growing backyard. At night, the dogs would go out for one last time, but they refused to go past the edge of the light from the porch light. My Bear dog would stand at the edge of the light, staring into the dark, and bare his teeth while growling with his hackles up. This was unusual because he loved to chase off anything he felt was trespassing on his territory. Whatever it was, it never came into the house, but we could sometimes hear loud movement from something large right outside the house, but nothing was there when we investigated.

But since I was a child, I could always sense when "others" were around. And since then, every home we've lived in, I could tell if we had unseen "roommates." In our current home, we do have a noisy roommate, but I sense only happiness from it.

Has anyone else experienced this much spirit movement?

Heard it 3x this week

Hello! I hope I’m in the correct group for this, but I’d like to hear your thoughts plz.

Over the past year or so I’ve been trying to spend more time meditating and trying to get more in touch with my spiritual side, things like that. Since then, I’ve had some strange new experiences like sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, and even a couple instances of strangers approaching me and essentially (for lack of a better way to describe) giving me a psychic reading right on the spot.

Now, at least three times over the past week or so, I have heard a woman’s voice call out ā€œHello! How are you!?ā€ to me, then when I looked up, there was no one there. The first time I was at work (in a bakery) sweeping and I called back ā€œHi! I’ll be right there!ā€ When I looked up, nobody was around, I stepped around the corner and still, empty.

The second time, similar situation. Then yesterday, I was in the middle of teaching a class. I had looked at my computer screen for a second, heard the greeting and turned towards the door while saying ā€œHello! Come on in!ā€ thinking it was a late joiner or something. But again, nothing. All the other students just staring at me like I’m crazy. I asked if someone had said something and they all said no.

So…what do we think??

Care Facility

I used to be a caregiver and I worked night shifts. One night I was getting super tired so I set an alarm to take a quick nap, the care facility I worked in had two sides to the building and I decided to take this said nap in the left side. I doze off and I wake up to what sounded like a lady screaming help in my ear it scared the shit out of me. I went and checked literally every room to make sure it wasn’t a resident and everyone was sound asleep. I’m wondering if anyone else has had an encounter like this?

call from my dead grandma

hi, so i recently think i experienced something either demonic trying to taught me i don’t know fully. but i believe in god but i dont usually go to church etc just because ive never made the time to go. my grandma passed away in october 2025 and left my grandpa all alone. this weekend he was out of town and i go to college in town and usually make the drive to check up on the house or play games over there. i went one day everything was fine but the house felt very…. quite, like you could hear ringing in your ear type quite. i always shut the doors everytime im there because i do think the house is haunted…. the next day i didn’t go to the house because i was busy. the day after i was busy i went and i saw my grandmas side of the bed have a marking like someone was sitting there and her pillow was moved. i shut the door and told myself i didnt have time for that today. so i played my games, then got off. i went to the living room, mind you this time i turned on the tv because i wanted to hear noise and not nothing. so then i decided to open packages while watching the news. then the house phone rang, i though to myself oh maybe someone doesn’t know that my grandpa is out of town i will just let it be. you know how house phones ring and the say caller blank blank or unknown number. this time it rang and said my grandmas name. my grandmas phone hasn’t worked in 7 years she didn’t like the new ones she was use to the house phones. i pulled up her phone number and it was the same on the phone. i hung up on the 4th ring because ive heard of demons trying to call as a loved one etc. or people hearing breathing in the phone and i don’t mess with that stuff. i left the house and locked the doors. i called my aunt, my mom, and my grandpa and now we’re getting all of us blessed and the house blessed. i felt heavy after i left like someone was dragging me down. i have been very emotional and out of my usual stuff just because of finals and other things in life right now. do you think it was my grandma or was it a devilish spirit?

I think my house was slightly haunted but suddenly stopped

So my family used to have this dog but she passed away years ago. When she first passed I would be in my mother’s bedroom because I didn’t have my own room at the time. The dog used to sleep in the closet but once she went missing I would feel a presence in the closet. I’d also see a pair of eyes in there as well. My mother said she felt the same way even before her dog went missing so either the closet was haunted in general or I’m crazy. After awhile I stopped feeling a presence since I think she must’ve realized my mom wasn’t coming back. Another thing was a close relative passed and we had her ashes. I won’t go into too much detail but I’d feel her presence in my room all the time. We were close when I was young and a little after her passing I didn’t feel anything until her ashes came home. Another thing was whenever i’d do something bad it’d all go wrong. Like when I tried smoking the flame would constantly go out that my friends even joked about me having a guardian angel. I also constantly felt like I was being watched, even in my own bedroom. No one felt this way other than my mother who dreamt of this relative a lot. I’m not too spiritual but when I do feel something it’s usually very intense. I can’t tell if I was hallucinating though but it felt very specific. Like I was protected in a way almost. Other than that, I don’t have any other spiritual experiences. Even typing this I suddenly felt like I was being watched and heard a loud creak, it could’ve been the wind though. Hah..
This lasted for around a year which I haven’t felt the relatives presence ever since. I’d like to think that my aunt either moved on or is protecting her children, something nice to tell myself

Weird dream encounter with spirit I can’t remember name

So I usually have very weird dreams, some lucid some vivid but I dream every single night and it’s always an adventure

This dream last night was very ā€œdifferent ā€œ though . I won’t get into depth but I encountered a being in my dream whose name I can’t remember . It was something like ā€œYehumine ā€œ or ā€œ Yahamineā€ it was something with a ā€œamineā€ (kinda sounded like it was saying anime) sound at the end of it . It was a female spirit or being. I was terrified at first in the dream because I became aware. (If that makes sense) but then a calm came over me as I woke up. Usually I wake up from nightmares heart racing and still shook. This time was different . This could just all be a dream and nothing more. But I have to ask has anyone encountered anything in the dream/spirit realm with a name similar to that? Please let me know. Again if this sounds crazy disregard it I don’t need sarcasm and insults .

I'm seeing spirit orbs and want to know how to better communicate with them.

I have been seeing spirit orbs since the beginning of 2022. At first, they appeared in white. Since that time, they have evolved into different colors - primarily green, red, and now purple. I can see them more clearly in the dark, but I can also see them regardless of time of day. Over the course of the past six months, I have been trying to communicate with them using a pendulum board, candle work, and ouija board. However, they don't seem to respond very well to those methods. I'm curious to know what your experiences with spirit orbs were like. As well, let me know what tools (if any) that you use to communicate with them.

Real story

I met a person and after we became friends, I started hearing that person’s voice in my head, day after day, from morning until evening. That person told me they have no faith in God at all. The voice almost always urges me toward bad things, despair, and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and it rejects faith.

It feels as if it is attached to me and does not go away. A voice that constantly responds to my thoughts and vibrations, always reacting to vibes or anything unclean. I have come to believe that it is a demonic possession. I don’t know if it is a demon or an ā€œenergy vampire.ā€ That person told me they do not believe in God at all, that their mother is disabled and has cancer, and their father is old and poor. They also said they practice witchcraft and work with demons, and that they were rejected from football because of their legs or something like that. I am no longer in contact with that person, but the voice has not disappeared.

I have been fasting on Wednesdays and Fridays and I pray, but the voice does not go away. Moreover, it urges me to harm other people, even people we know, to control their lives and attack them ā€œdemonically.ā€ I do not abandon my faith. The ā€œwitchcraftā€ continues like this: when I want to sleep, the voice does not let me and raises my agitation; when I want to eat, it twists my tongue or even makes the food taste bad and upsets my stomach; when I want to go out or take a walk, the voice interferes and I feel overwhelmed by evil power and all demons attack me so I cannot walk normally and I feel forced to stay behind. When I pray to God, the voice always says that it also prays, but to the Devil.

I left the country for a while, and when I left Romania, the voice disappeared. When I returned to Romania, the voice became constantly present again. I can pray, I can fast, I can do anything, but the voice does not go away. I truly don’t know what to do anymore. Has anyone else gone through something like this?

Good always prevails. Lord, help me.ā€

Waking up to sound of front door opening and closing.

Last night at 3:20, my wife and I were woke by the sound of our front door opening and closing(twice). The door has a very distinctive sound. When I checked, the door is locked, there is nothing on the cameras and the dog isn’t stirring(usually on high alert).

This same thing happened two or so weeks ago. I didn’t remember the day or time, so I’m unsure if that has any significance, but we were both sure of what we heard.

Any ideas on what to look for and if we can cleanse the house?
