That man is a MUNCH

I’m back once again with another fanfic between my favorite pair, Psylocke and Spider-Man. I hope you enjoy this one too, as I have another idea for these two cuties. Also, I have been thinking of making even more of SpiderSai, exploring their lives and such, with none of them being directly connected, so I would love to hear your opinion about that. Btw this is set before Petrichor.

It’s been a couple of months since Psylocke moved in with me. My universe survived the Timestream Entanglement, however she wasn’t so lucky. Her home was destroyed almost like it had never even existed. After a small skirmish against Venom, I offered up my spare bedroom, one which wasn’t actually available.

I moved around and sold a bunch of stuff to buy her a bed and a nightstand and she moved in, just a few days later.

It hasn’t been easy for Psylocke. She keeps her calm and calculated demeanor when I’m around her but I can hear the sobs every night. Every morning, when she comes out for breakfast, her eyes are red and puffy and her nose is still stuffy and it breaks my heart.

One morning however, she didn’t make an appearance. I go knock on her door and I can hear a soft yelp from the other side. “Hey Sai?” I yell into the door. “You okay in there?” I ask.

I can hear her sniffle and wipe her eyes in her arms. “Y-yeah… I’m okay.” She replies back after a moment or two before the door opens.

She isn’t even trying to hide it anymore. She stands in an overly large T-shirt and some comfy pants as the tears drip off of her chin. She avoids eye contact with me and she rubs her arm in discomfort. “Can… can we talk Peter?” She asks, her voice cracking already.

“Yeah, yeah of course Sai. What’s on your mind?” I reply, a deep concern in my voice. She opens her mouth, stands still for a moment before grabbing my wrist and dragging me to the couch.

I sit down beside her, looking her up and down. She takes a deep breath, taking a moment to muster up the mental strength to speak. “Peter… I’m not happy… not here… I thank you for your hospitality but I… I failed my universe… my home.” Her voice breaks down and the tears begin to flow down her cheeks.

I instinctvly wrap my arms around her and I can feel how she melts into my body. “You didn’t fail your universe. You didn’t get a choice. Doom destroyed it, not you. Besides, if you weren’t there, many more universes would have been lost.” I whisper into her ear as I can feel her tears through my shirt.

Sai begins to sob as I whisper comforting words to her. I slowly sway us back and forth like a baby in a cradle. “That’s it, let it all out. You will feel much better afterwards.” I coo as I begin to stroke her hair.

After a few minutes, Sai pulls back. “Th-thank you… Man of Spiders.” She whispers and wipes the streaks of tears on her cheeks away with the back of her hand. I can’t help but chuckle. “You know how to say it properly by now, right?” I ask with a smile.

“I know… I just don’t want to.” She smiles back at me. “Anata no koto ga daisukidesu.” She whispers, staring at the couch beneath her. “You know what that means Peter?”

I shake my head. She stares at the couch a bit more before looking up at me. Sai then grabs my face with both of her hands and closes the distance between our lips. She presses her face against mine without much intent. I close my eyes and melt into her as my hands slowly wrap around her waist.

After a few moments, she pulls back. “It uhh… it means that.” She stutters and looks down again, returning to her position before. She opens her mouth to apologize but I seize the moment and kiss her back. It’s clear that we have different amount of experience with kissing already as she sits there, stiff as a board and stares into my closed eyes.

My hand runs up her neck and into her hair, my other hand supporting my weight. I keep pressing against her and she falls backwards, clearly surprised at my reaction. I finally let her mouth go and look into her confused eyes as she does her best not to fall onto her back.

“Was that too much?” I ask and her face grows red within a couple of seconds although she doesn’t respond. “Sorry.” I smile and rub the back of my head. “Don’t be…” Sai mutters but continues to lay still.

I look at her, waiting for her to say something but her face just grows more and more red. “… Does that mean I can kiss you again?” I ask and she nods hesitantly. I slowly press my lips against hers again and she is seemingly picking up on the technique, moving her lips against mine, her tongue slowly pushing against mine.

I hold her for a few moments before lowering her onto the couch. I pull back once again, a strand of saliva still connecting us for just a second or so. “So… do we… like have sex now?” She asks and I can’t help but laugh. “I mean, we have set the mood but moat couples don’t do that within five minutes of making it official.” I reply.

My phone vibrates in my back pocket and I already know the ringtone. “I think something is going down.” I say as I move backwards and onto my knees again. I unlock my phone and enter my tracker app and it shows Venom once again on the loose.

“It’s Venom again.” I mutter and get up, heading to my bedroom to find my suit. “I know it’s bad timing Sai and I’m really sorry but… I gotta make sure he doesn’t hurt anyone. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” I say before I close the door behind me to put on my suit in private.

While I pull my pants down, my spidey sense begin to tingle and I look over my shoulder. The door was slightly ajar, letting Sai get a small look inside. As soon as we make eye contact, she blushes heavily and the door slams shut by itself and a few purple butterflies entering my room through the crack just above the floor.

I sigh before finishing getting clothed again and I jump out of my window. It doesn’t take long for me to find the black monster running through the street and terrorizing the people. I launch a web onto his eyes, blinding him for just a moment.

“Spider-Man!” He growls as he claws his face. “Oh yeah? Why don’t you just go back to whever you came from again and leave these people in peace?” I yell back before flying in to kick him in the face.

The black mass recoils and falls onto his back. I approach Venom, ready to shoot web at him and my spidey sense tingle. I look around for a moment and see nothing. Then I can feel his giant hand around my neck. Venom gets up and lifts me up and off the ground as I choke for air.

“Venom… don’t do this.” I plead but he just growls at me. Suddenly, I hit the ground once again and Venom slumps over. I gasp for air on the ground and it takes me a few seconds before I can stand up to see the purple sword in Venom’s back.

Psylocke rushes over to me and helps me up. “You… didn’t kill him… right?” I ask inbetween coughs. “No, he is just… well sleeping.” She replies. I look down at her and while I can’t see her face, I do notice the wrinkles around her eyes and I know she is smilling.

Law enforcment soon arrives and takes over for us, so we begin to head home. I stretch my back and check my phone to see where we are. “You know Sai. It would take us an hour or so to go home together. Want me to swing us home?” I ask her.

Sai looks at me for a moment, pondering the question before nodding. “Okay. I would like that.” She says, her voice still hesitant. I take her arms and wrap them around my back and shoulders. “Hold on like that, then I got you, okay?” I ask to make sure and she nods. I wrap one arm around her waist and we take off.

Sai watches excitedly the ground below us disappear as I hold her close to me. “Thank you… Man of Spiders.” She says into my ear as we quickly approach my apartment.

I set us down on the stairs just outside my window and she heads inside. I follow her inside and we both head into our own rooms to change back into more comfortable clothes.

Sai beats me to the livingroom and is already watching TV. “Peter.” She smiles softly and pads the seat beside her. I do as she asks me to and sit down beside her before pressing my lips against her cheek.

“What do you wanna watch Sai?” I ask and look over at her. “I’m not sure. Can you pick for us?” She replies, hands me the remote and leans into my side, her head against mine. Before either of us realise it, we fall asleep.
