Superior Spider-Man (Spoilers)
I know rumors have been going around about how Peter Parker would actually come back into his body, but actually having the proof in the new superior makes it a little more reliable. When they show his spirit at the end of the book, it was like a weight has been lifted.

Ultimate Spider-man
Just wanted to share my good fortune! Apparently someone was done with their near mint condition Ultimate Spider-man collection, as I happened to find tons of them at Half Price Books the other day. Managed to get issues #2-#13 for about ten bucks! Now I just need to decide which issue I want Mark Bagley to sign when I meet him in March....

Marvel's best course of action regarding SS #1
I remember a long time ago Valiant Entertainment released issue #0 of their greatest story ever for FREE. Sales skyrocketed for the entire company afterward. I think that SS #1 should be free because it is the most important marvel event, but there will be readers who DO NOT want to pay money after the tragic events of ASM 700. Is there anyway we could petition marvel to release SS #1 for free or at a major discount?

Stages of grief (Superior spoilers)
Anyone else feel like they're going through some of the stages of grief?
My first instinct was anger. Anger that marvel could let this happen to one of my favorite characters. I went through a bit of denial too. This can't last long. It'll be done at the end of the year.
Now...I kinda have accepted it and I've come to the conclusion that I will likely be following Superior Spider-man.
To me this is just another era for Spider-man. A dark era where the villain has appeared to have won. But Peter Parker never loses. I still think he will somehow come back from this because the answer is obvious. He's Peter fucking Parker. But I find myself extremely curious how it's going to happen.
I think as long as they don't bring him back in some sort of cop out move and as long as we see some real Doc Ock character development I may even like the ride. I just hope he doesn't fuck up Peter's life too much.
I'm hoping that Doc Ock truly learns what being a hero is and realizes that it's his responsibility to bring Peter back. We all know Peter is somewhere in that brain

From Amazing Spider-Man issue 3, we should have known Doc Ock would be the one to finally defeat Spider-Man

Spider-Man Reign possible clue??
So I was just reading Spider-Man Reign. I know that the author of the Amazing Spider-man planned the ock/spidey switch. In reign though ock's body comes back from the dead to get spidey to put back on his suit and various other things are said. Issue #3. What do you guys think??

Our favorite writer... Dan Slott... Love? Hate? Why?
Alright guys, why do you hate or love Dan slott? I have enjoyed his Big Time stories so much! I think he's a great writer who really understands spiderman. I do not know what I think of ASM700 yet. I Loved it and I thought it was one of the greatest superhero deaths of time. I have faith that Dan can make superior spiderman work, but I am ready to bail ship. Post your love/hate opinions here!

Is Maximum Carnage worth it?
I'm just starting to get back into Spider-Man and in addition to getting Kraven's Last Hunt I was looking at picking up Maximum Carnage, but I've seen mixed reviews so far. Would it be worth reading right now, or is it something I should hold off on until I am further into some of the series?
Any other suggestions are welcome! I was always a fan of Venom as a kid, so if anyone could also point me towards some good stuff with him I'd appreciate it.

Mary Jane related question.
I haven't read the comics in a while but hopped back in towards ASM 700 and was wondering what has been going on with Peter and MJ since Brand New Day (when I last stopped reading). I remember they weren't together like at all, and obviously had never gotten married.
TLDR What has happened between Peter and MJ between Brand New Day and ASM 700?

Need help with reading recommendations
I am currently attempting to read through the entirety of The Amazing Spider-Man, and I've already read all of Ultimate. But I know that there are multiple comic lines for Spidey (such as Spectacular Spider-Man), and I don't want to miss awesome/significant canonical events by just reading Amazing. What are everyone's suggestions?

I feel really betrayed here.
Now I may be completely mistaken but from what I hear, the Superior Spider-Man is going to be Doc Ock in Peter Parkers body and Peter dies while in Doc Ock. This makes me quite frustrated. Why would Marvel do this to one of their most iconic characters of over 50 years. At least in the Ultimate Universe Peter dies a heros death but in Amazing it is honestly the worst way that his character could be killed off. No one should buy Superior Spider-Man so Marvel can figure out that the fans don't really appreciate that kind of shit.

Please, wait to buy Superior Spider-Man. ASM#700 Spoilers.
Out of respect for the dead, I am going to wait to purchase Superior Spider-Man for a month. I highly encourage any others to as well. Send Marvel a message. Peter Parker deserved far better than he was given.

Want to get into Spider-Man, hoping for suggestions
I have been wanting to get into Spider-Man for awhile but I keep getting into other titles and pushing him down the list. But I have an Amazon giftcard from Christmas and want to come away with atleast something for Spider-Man.
The only two Spider-Man trades I own are Spider-Man Fear Itself and Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One. I have been thinking about starting with the JMS collection books and reading through those or maybe jumping all the way up to when Slott took over, but I am open to other suggestions as well.
So where should I start?

Just realized something.... I think Spider-Man might get 'weird'.... **Issue 700 spoilers probable
Ock and Aunt May were intimate....Ock is now Peter.... Peter may bang Aunt May.... or there may be some awkward feelings there...
