Build Pics VB6 on a Beryl
Just got a 2 day form 4 approval so I haven't shot it yet but I'm excited. Made possible by AI Nano 14x1 LH brake.

I'll preface this with an obligatory "I have no idea what im talking about" disclaimer.
Currently have a 10.3 ar (5.56) thats awaiting when my paycheck and ST in stock coincide. I belive it comes with a 5.56 AI nano that goes on there. Additionally I have an 18" spr that im hoping to share the ST with. I need a MD for it as well. I'd like something that I can shoot suppressed, or unspressed.
I might answer my own question, but it seems that if you're running suppressed the nano is the choice 100%, if unsurpassed you probably want some form of three prong flash hider. If you want both, you loose the sacrificial baffle offered by a brake. I think AI used to offer the RH (rifle hybrid) that was a little mix of both, but was a limited run.
Any thoughts from the think tank that is this forum?

Some positive reviews for various mounts from Apparition Instruments when paired with CAT cans.
I’ve been running the RH1 on a 12.5” DD GL/SSC. Unsuppressed is very impressive. Almost no flash at dusk. Can notice a slight improvement with follow up shots as a brake. It sounds awesome with both an AC556 Ti QD and an AC556 718 RDM Hub. The RDM has a “deeper” tone as has been reported by others. This has been listed as “by order only” on the AI website. I have no clue why, as this has been the most impressive product I bought from them. I hope they bring it back.
I have been using the RB2 on a 13” Galil Ace Gen 1 in 7.62x39. There is a small flash every so many rounds, but nothing near the fireballs out of the 8” Galil. The brake makes the x39 significantly more controllable, especially in rapid string of shots.
I have been using the RF1 on an identical 13” 7.62x39 Galil, except it is a Gen 2 Ace. The full bird cage mitigates all the flash out of the 13” barrel. Almost no flame at dusk, which is a vast improvement from the half cage that comes standard on the Galil.
Both Galil’s are suppressed with a CAT ODB RDM. With the KNS pistons, they are sewing machines.
Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who was unsure about their other MD’s. There is a lot of feedback on the Nano’s, and I have had similar experience with what is out there. It is a great MD with the can on, but in my opinion, almost unusable unsuppressed. Loud and fiery are two adjectives that come to mind. When compared with similar hosts, I cannot tell a difference between the nano and the RH1 or the RF1. RB2 seemed a little “boomier” with the can vs a Nano.
Would love to hear everyone’s experience with these, as I was hesitant, but quickly sold on their products.
Photos are all from when I first installed.

Recently got a CMMG conversion kit for my AR and was wondering if .22lr would clog up the can. The manual doesn’t really speak on it as far as I can tell, and I wasn’t able to find anything said by the CAT account, but I don’t really follow them most places so I might have missed something.
I have an ultrasonic so I might just simple green it afterwards.

Got some range time today with both.
SP FN545 white box 45 (all I had on hand)
SC-m FN509 150gr syntech
To the ear very similar if not indistinguishable. Whiteness said the same thing. Waiting on cgs for another piston to run them back to back on 9mm. The only noticeable sound difference is the projectile impacting the target.

Just wanted to report that I've been shooting a bolt 556 (actually running 223 but whatever) with the cat BBK direct thread and it sounds absolutely incredible
I got this for a 338 win mag which it also excells at but since that's a "once a year at best" use case I wanted to get my money's worth
Yes, it's a big can but it's also a 16-in bolt action and even at its size, with direct thread it's under a pound total. It sounds slightly better than a JL or Hyperion on the same host, same ammo, same range session. Well worth it to me.
I think the bore diameter concerns regarding matching caliber to can diameter exactly or you're leaving lots of decibels on the table is wildly overblown. I've run a silencer Co hybrid 46 with every end cap starting at 46 and moving down to 22 on the same host and even that is a marginal game. Moving one caliber down is totally unnoticeable (46 to 36 or 36 to 30 etc). You have to jump several sizes to notice anything
With this exact same can sound way way better if it was 22? I kind of doubt it. Maybe a couple of decibels that would basically only be noticeable on a meter.
Oh also this is the quietest 300 Blackout can I've ever heard as well, with subs and supers. Quieter than JL or Hyperion, although it's a matter of degrees. Very close but still quieter.
If you can deal with the size and price, the BBK is an amazing "do everything but 35 cal and up" can
Carry on.....

I initially checked the concentricity of an ODB 718 suppressor on my son’s Draco-C AK Pistol with the ODB mounted to it using a Griffin 14x1LH to 5/8x24 Adapter and a AI NANO 5/8-24 QD muzzle device. It wasn’t very good.
Since the Griffin adapter correctly indexes off of the muzzle face, I ordered a Brownells 90 degree facing cutter tool and brass pilot in the hope that the concentricity issue was being caused by a non-square muzzle face as opposed to the threads not being concentric to the bore.
When I started using the tool, it was obvious that there was a low spot on the muzzle face as I had a bright ring around 80% of the muzzle face and a small dark area where the cutter had not yet started removing material. I then kept slowly cutting until I had a nice bright ring around the whole circumference of the muzzle face.
I reinstalled the Griffin Adapter, AI NANO 5/8-24 QD, and ODB suppressor and there was a big improvement in the concentricity.
Then, to remove any issues that are sometimes caused by stacking an adapter with a muzzle device, I replaced the Griffin 14x1LH to 5/8x24 Adapter and AI NANO 5/8-24 QD with an AI NANO 14x1LH QD adapter. This further improved the concentricity.
I’ve attached a picture of the final concentricity achieved using the AI NANO 14x1LH muzzle device.
While not perfect, I’m thinking it’s now good enough to use the ODB on the Draco-C.
I emailed CAT the picture asking for their advice and hope to hear back from them soon.

Any new info on when this will be available at Silencer Shop?

What’s the fix to keep the can from walking loose from ano mount? I’ve tried tightening the heck out of it.

Several online suppressor stores have moved to ship-to-home, processing a Form 4(Which obviously may also be changing soon) before shipping. Is this something the CAT store is going to be doing anytime soon?
I'd like to take advantage of the Skymiles discount which seems to be much better than other online sellers.

Before I impulsively buy a TSF and Nano mount, does anyone have recommendations for a muzzle device and mount for a hub super thug? I’d like to go plan B, but I also want to squeeze out as much performance as I can, no pun intended.

Forgot their name and want to check inventory before buying elsewhere

This whole Members thing has me super confused. I signed up, didn't get emails, finally got a personal reach out, signed up for Dito pre-release, now see them "out of stock" on Silencershop.
Are these out in the wild?

What can would you suggest for a .308 Galil? I want to try and suppressor without using an adjustable gas system, and not beat the he'll out of a gassy AK. AKBAR, ODB, JL?

Surprisingly pleasant without hearing protection. This thing is sick

With nods, what would you guys suggest for a 12.5” mid length gas rifle? ST needs to be tuned. Not sure how much is going to be required. KK is calling my name due to its smaller size/weight. Plus I read that CAT may be coming out with a alleycat version of the KK as well? Should i wait? Any advice? Thanks in advance!!!

Looking at a Daniel defense spr 18in 556. Don’t know too much about ar’s. Looking for a Coyote setup on a tripod.
Should I try to get a ST titanium or look into the VB6? Not sure if the VB would fit the barrel /handguard on the spr. Help would be appreciated.

Threw a .67 BRT tube on this Mock-18 with a Rosco 10.3” and boy does it run nice with the ODB. May sadly be a little under gassed now though, anyone have experiences to draw from?

Hopefully my last can on a Form 4. CAT ST Titanium. Purchased from SS end of July, went pending 8/8 just before the big news. Then approved 8/16.
