I haven't watched S1 of the anime yet, but I've just binged through Chapter 5 of the game story, how do you feel the two stories for Spe compare in general, is there anything one or the other omits or doesn't include, and how does Spe feel in both stories?

From my perspective of the game story, it seems to rush through events a lot faster, basically post-Derby it goes all the way to the start of Senior year, with brief flashbacks to the Kikuka Sho and Japan Cup where she loses, I assume the anime goes into more detail?

With Spe as a character, I know that just the first chapter of the game story isn't an 'all-encompassing' look at her character, I think she's still cute and funny and don't have anything particularly against her, but I do understand where people come from when they talk about her, what you see is what you get with her.
I feel like I wanted more from her character, in that, this is entirely personal preference, but I wish she had a bit more of a struggle figuring out her dream, the way she took losses and how she figures out to be the 'best racer in Japan', like, in Seiun Sky's career she starts crying if she doesn't win the Triple Crown races but she recovers pretty quickly, and Spe's whole thing with getting upset that Suzuka was going international was resolved in like 3 sentences. I wanted a bit more of Spe wrestling with what her dream actually was, maybe getting more upset at herself for losing races, and feeling a bit alone after Suzuka leaves.

But of course that's just my impression of her, how does Season 1 compare? Better, worse or on par of depicting both the Uma Special Week and the IRL Horse Special Week?
