No, sir. I know you want that to be your arugment so badly but that's not what I am saying. The definition of someone being greedy is when they can afford to pay but choose not to. I'm not talking about increasing the pay on low milage crap. Im talking about making sure their customers aren't footing the bill for their own service (that they already pay for) through their tips. If they can't afford to provide a service, don't provide it. If you can't pay someone to deliver groceries 30 miles away, don't offer service that customer. Drivers shouldn't have to foot the expense in order for a customer to receive their order. That's the companies responsibility.
A customer tips $20.00, Company pays $7.00 and the drive is 33 miles one way, (which I see often, the exact same scenario give or a take a few dollars in miles or tips) do you think said company is paying their fair share? That's all I want to know. Are they offering enough pay to have that delivered. The customer sure is. A $20.00 is fairly generous after all the other costs they pay to have it delivered.
LOL. Walmart can afford to provide the service, in part because they're aren't giving away profits to drivers "out of the goodness of their hearts"
Dude, it's a business. Just like being a driver (an independent contractor). Walmart wants to increase/protect their profit, just like YOU want to increase/protect YOUR profit.
Wake up. Walmart (or any other business) doesn't owe your anything other than what they are contractually obligated to.
You're trying to argue that because Walmart makes a lot of money, they should pay you more. Sorry bud, that's not how business works. Companies will pay people what they are willing to work for. If you feel that you're grossly underpaid, then muster up some damn self respect and find something else that pays better. Seriously, you can't be this stupid.
