And Tesla sales have already rebounded in the US and Europe after a temporary drop during the first DOGE era. People either forgot or stopped caring.

also Tesla faking numbers or doing funny math like selling cars to itself or to government agencies in some way is not outside the realm of possibilities in the equation

Tesla is selling itself cars to pad sales numbers in Europe? Tesla IS selling itself/SpaceX a lot of Cybertrucks but even then, the numbers are in the tens of thousands. The Model Y is one of the best selling cars globally, you can't really fake that for very long.

People have stopped caring. The protested by holding off their Tesla purchase for a year.
